Incompetence

We ordered and gift basket and paid extra for a Saturday delivery for a gift that was supposed to be a surprise. They shipped the package and attempted a Wednesday delivery. No one home of course, so UPS left note the recipient would have to come get the basket. Customer service canceled order and issued another one for Saturday delivery but the surprise was ruined by that point due to the note left on the door. Incompetence.

Deliveries always late…

They can’t deliver on the date you pick. Supposed to arrive before valentines, now arriving 2 days late, if it even gets delivered then. Site says weather delays, it’s sunny and clear. Need to be on top of shipping.

Ripped off

I paid extra for a basket to be be delivered on January 9th in time for my sister’s birthday. I got an email late in the day on the 8th stating the basket was being rescheduled to well after the requested date. That date was actually in what had been in the free delivery time when I ordered the basket. I was traveling all day on the 9th and when I called their customer service number I got a message that they were closed for the weekend. I have the 2 emails from them - the first confirming the January 9th date that I paid extra for and the second arbitrary one from the 8th showing that they had changed the delivery date without consulting me. I am extremely disappointed and angry that Wine Country Gift Baskets ruined my sister’s 75th birthday and ripped me off in the process.

Cheaply made sample size "treats"

We received two WCGB gift baskets this year. They consisted of cardboard and plastic packaging with sample-sized treats enclosed in more packaging. The treats are cheaply made wafer cookies, water crackers, gummy candies; we tasted and put them in the trash. The "re-usable basket" is flimsy plastic covered cardboard. None of us want to seem ungrateful, but I am not happy that people I care about were bamboozled into giving this "gift". I see the reviews on Amazon are 4+ for thousands of verified purchase reviews...I won't ever trust an Amazon review again!

Beautiful presentation, but the treats are bland and tasteless

This is the second year My sister has sent a basket to our family and I just had to break it to her that she’s wasting her money. While the presentation is beautiful, the snacks and cookies are bland and tasteless. Each family member has opened something taken a bite and thrown it out. I wonder if the people that assemble these gift baskets even taste this stuff?

I feel badly for the giver of these baskets. They see what looks like a great gift, spend good money. In reality the gift is far less than what it looks like in the catalog. Avoid!!

Better alternatives elsewhere

This company does not stand by their delivery dates for their overpriced products. When ordering I had requested a specific no-later-than delivery date. When they failed to meet the delivery date promised, they changed the requested delivery date in the system and stated that's when I requested delivery. Too bad the receipt had the original requested date. When confronted they did nothing.

⭐ 1-Star Review

⭐ 1-Star ReviewFor a $500 Wine Country gift basket, this was a major letdown. The presentation looks impressive at first, but once you dig in, it’s mostly cardboard filler and trial‑size snacks. The real disappointment, though, is the wine. Of the six bottles included, four retail for under $10, and the remaining two—while slightly pricier—are still poorly rated, low‑quality wines. With a name like “Wine Country,” you’d expect they actually know wine. Clearly not. This feels like a company focused on maximum markup and minimum quality, banking on buyers who assume they’re sending something premium. In reality, no seasoned wine drinker would touch these bottles.Based on my experience, I wouldn’t buy from Wine Country again, and I’d recommend others save their money.

Bait and switch

The website offers a discount on an additional item upon purchasing the original item but when you checkout they charge the full price for the additional item. Cancelled the order but amt stays on credit card for week(s).

Excellent Service and Support…

I was very pleased with the overall customer experience. They advised me that they practice 100% customer satisfaction even though the issue was an error on my part. They did what they said they would do and I doubled my replacement order because of the stellar customer experience. I recommend.

Don't bother

Don't bother, they look nice but your are paying 10x for what you get. To make matters worse they will email you every day and somehow get around your spam filter, not only that but catalogs in the mail every other day. A company offering a good product at value does not need to shove their product down peoples throats.

Bad company. 😡

I always ordered from wine country baskets never had a problem with the price maybe or merchandise, my last order is given to my daughter arrived it was not worth it the price that I paid but besides that it says free shipping and some how they charged me $14.44 more on my purchase. I tried to dispute with my credit card chase and today i see again that they charge one more time the amount. I will never do business with them anymore. Scammer. 😡

We ordered baskets for family during…

We ordered baskets for family during the holidays and we're charged but some family members dod not receive their baskets. We called wine country and they stated some baskets were backorder but still charged us and never communicated that items were on backorder. Very disreputable practice if we didn't check the baskets would never have been sent and we would still have been charged. Order from another company

poor service

Hi, I just wanted you all to know that I am very upset with the service they gave me. here is what happened to me; 1. I asked for a tracking # ASAP for my order. they refused to give me one. 2. So when UPS showed up a day earlier than expected My sister was not home to sign for package. This means that the package sat in a UPS truck.in 120 degree heat all weekend long.

Father's Day gift

The basket was gifted to me for Father's day gift. What a joke. The basket had 2 edible brownies and a small pk of crackers. The rest of the stuff wasn't even edible. The so called pastries were crumbled and hard with no taste at all.I'm sure the basket was expensive, so this honest review may help others.I do not recommend the basket to anyone to send as a gift. My husband loves snacks but these were threw in the trash. The packages of products had different makers on each. Possibly full of Dollar Tree items.

Every gift is an emotion

Every gift is an emotion , a feeling . It can be a note of thanks , get well soon or a birthday wish , something for a special occasionSo if you are in the business of sending gifts and you cannot commit to a delivery then you miss the point Unfortunately this company does not understand the value and importance of timing in this business . If it’s an important gift for a special occasion they cannot be trusted with timely delivery of the gift (despite charging extra for a Saturday delivery ) . They didn’t deliver the gift for a 50 th birthday for a very special person in my life and I will never forgive and forget it .They don’t feel obliged to inform you or make alternate arrangements . A cold shoulder is all you will get if you call customer service. I will never do business with them ever again. So to

Terrible Products and Quality

My dear friend sends these baskets because she is very infirm and ordering is easy. The food and wine are uniformly inedible and its all about the packaging. It is a big waste of money. Pretty, though..

The Nutcracker was excellent!!!

The Nutcracker was excellent!!!! I had sent it to my nephews kids. My brother called me and said it was truly impressive! We were out of the country and I had inquired to see if it had been received. The company got back to me in record time on a Saturday! GREAT SERVICE AND PRODUCT! Thank you!

Received this as a gift and literally…

Received this as a gift and literally 75% of everything was expired or super generic! I don't even know what those weird cake sponge things were, but I don't want random Dollar tree style goods as a gift and I'm quite disappointed that there were only five lint balls, two G squares.. The rest was all generic. No name brand and after seeing the expiration on all of the other wrappers being about 4 or 5 months expired I didn't trust them! Do not send out expired products. What the hell? Why would anyone have to tell a company this? I know I'm not the only one. I seen it in the reviews!
