I used these guys to book my honeymoon flights in 2016 and they made the process easy. Told them where we wanted to go on our honeymoon and they took care of the rest. Originally it was going to be just Bali and Kauai but they mentioned that we could have a 36-hour layover in Sydney if we wanted to reduce our flight costs so we agreed to do it and it was so worth it! They handled all the logistics and made the process seamless. WouldUse again.
What a horrible company ALPHA FLIGHT GURU is .Stay away Don't use them at any cost.I've been trying to get my money back since 2020. 😩 still no joy and what's worse they are not responding to my emails 😕 or phone calls 😕 Looks like they've gone bust . A warning of some sort would have been nice.Watch out as they will most probably start up another company🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
We had used AFG with success, but that was years ago. We recently had confirmed reservations with 'e' tickets issued by AFG, also identified on the Airlines website. All good, until two weeks out from departure when we tried to confirm the arrival time at the final destination. Our flight number was not listed on the Airline website. Emails galore, to AFG in the first instance then to the Airline. Could not find one workable address or telephone number for AFG - stress level was rising. Finally went to an international airport to discuss with the Airline, this was now one week out from departure overseas. Absolute confusion at the Airline departure point desk, albeit a week before the recognised flight. After a two hour discussion with the local Airline manager, intense search on the Airline's own computer system, no specific flight reservations were recorded, although the 'e' ticket numbers were found. Advised to contact the Airlines international office in their home Asian country. After another couple of hours, talking to someone with English as a second language, who was very patient by the way, we finally managed to get agreement to at least some relief, insofar as redeem the credit. AFG must be out of business - disappointing that they didn't bother to advise any customers for whom they had an obligation. We have received not one response from AFG.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE AN ILLEGAL OPERATION.We used Alpha Flight Guru in the past with success so decided to use them again. Then COVID hit. They refused to refund our money, which the airlines were offering. They only offered a credit. We are now trying to use our credit which expires 30 June 2023. Now emails bounce back, website down, our consultant is not returning my many messages. Do yourself a favour and pay a little bit more through an airline or official travel agent. When we first booked with them they were known as Alpha Flight Guru and then changed their name to Booking Vault. I wont be surprised if they pop up in the future under a another name. BEWARE. I do believe in Karma.
Only three weeks ago, I was promised a refund for some flights I had booked which were cancelled by the Singapore Airlines (SQ) just 36 hours before we were due to fly Melbourne to Zurich. It appears Alpha Flight Guru's practice of buying other people's reward points and then using them to book flights for another person has finally been rumbled, at least by SQ who told me it was an illegal practice. Now AFG's website is down, my contact, Sheena Wilson, has gone underground, both of her emails bouncing back and Customer Service numbers not connecting. Beware!!!!!
The agent made multiple mistakes booking my daughter's flight and I had no way to verify the final itinerary details before confirming over the phone. He ended up mixing up the passenger information to where part was mine (given to him for payment details) and part were hers. I tried contacting multiple times and the only time the agent called me back was when I complained on their customer contact form. No one ever answered their customer service number. After over a week of trying to contact and get this corrected, I was told I couldn't change the passenger information and it was my fault even though I had no way to see the final itinerary information. They refused to refund me. The agent hung up on me multiple times, refused to answer my calls right after he hung up on me and was rude during the calls. They claim that the calls are not recorded so they cannot prove anything even though I have email evidence of the agent's mistakes. I called the actual airline in which the tickets were booked and I found out there was an additional leg of the flight that was booked without my knowledge or consent for months from now. I am currently escalating up the complaint. I booked a much cheaper flight in a fraction of the time with another company and disputing this charge with my credit card company. It is suspicious that the autofill on google search when I typed in "Alpha Flight Guru" added the word scam to it. That was the top search result. I would love to update this review once it gets resolved with how it was fixed.
Cris booked great flights for me with plenty of time between them so I didn't have to worry about transfers. Coming back through Chicago saved about 8 hours flying time although O'Hara was an absolute nightmare. Security check took over a hour, again I was glad I had plenty of time before the next flight.Cris also took care of my meal updates, as I changed my mind several times. All in all, a great experience, especially with sn e-ticket 8

I recently used Alpha Flight Guru to purchase and international Business Class ticket. I needed to make an amendment to my return flight and both Zach and Marrion went above and beyond to help me with my request. Both Marrion and Zach were extremely professional, very prompt and helpful with my complicated flight change requests. I would highly recommend this service again and will definitely use this company for all of my international travel needs. I have used other companies that are similar but none of them compare to the personalized support and responsiveness of this team. I got an excellent price, prompt resolution to my change in travel plans and very clear communications throughout the process.
Alpha Flight Guru are holding a credit with Thai Airways for us (because of COVID). We want to use that now. AFG are not responding to phone calls and are not replying to email messages. We are forced to conclude that that AFG do not wish to reply because something has happened to our credit. I would be wary dealing with them as they appear to be an unprofessional outfit. Had a booking to New York in 2020 had to cancel due to Covid 19 got a credit for the flights we spent $12000 for the flight and also lost over $2000 for hotels that were not refunded. Decided to fly to San Francisco next year told we needed to pay an additional $9300 as well as our credit. Checking with Singapore Airlines we could have booked Business Class return for $8135 return per Passenger including fly buys and status credits. We payed around $4000 more than if we booked with the airline directly totally ripped off.
You organization is very responsive and quick to help. You provide a great service at a very affordable price. Will update after my trip.
Update of my last 1 star review:Sheena from FG contacted me. I gave her the flights I wanted to book to go to France and she was very efficient in booking everything in about an hour, and used the credit I had since covid.This is the kind of service I expected from Flight Guru!
Here is a follow up to the review I made and their response to it. Through my subsequent filing of a complaint with the Dept of Transportation who referred my case to Delta who I had my original tickets with, I found that Alpha Flight Guru purchased my tickets in bulk from Skylink travel, WHO DID IN FACT GET A REFUND FOR THE CANCELLED FLIGHT DUE TO COVID.(They were able to provide me with the last 4 digits of the Mastercard that they issued the refund to.) I find it very hard to believe that Alpha flight guru did not pursue a refund from Skylink for their lost revenue and would then issue me a voucher for funds they never recovered from Skylink travel. (Who also by the way is a piece of crap company with rude customer service reps who interrupt then hang up on you because as they put it “ you are not our client and we don’t deal with you”! )I will continue to seek a full refund as I will not be traveling anywhere with the assistance of Alpha Flight Guru as they have proven that they cannot be trusted and are as another reviewer put it “complete crooks”! I will be researching whether or not they received Covid relief funds and taking my case to the FTA and the BBB of San Francisco where their corporate headquarters are. I will settle for nothing less than a full refund dir my hard earned money!
We had been planning our trip to Europe for two years, but Covid had changed our plans. Our travel agent, Mike Ostia, was fantastic in getting our flights rearranged. He had it complete within a couple hours with great flight days! We will always use Alpha Flight Guru! Thanks, Mike, for doing a great job!
On April 8th contacted Raymond who promptly found flights for me to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The next day I approved flights and asked him to book flights via email, it is now April 13th and after multiple phone calls, texts and emails - NO REPONSE. Maybe Social Media will get a response.Brent
Been using AFG since 2015 and always got excellent service. Starting to travel again this year after staying put through the height of Covid-19. Booked flights to Iceland and France for Spring, and flights to Germany and Poland for Fall. Michael Ostia did an amazing job in getting me the flights I want and also using my credit from Lufthansa. Thank you, Michael!
