Kat was legitimately my last hope to lose weight and feel more like myself again. She absolutely delivered. I had not even 6 months prior hired a nutritionist to help me lose weight after having my second baby. I only ended up losing 5 lbs, was still inflamed and still struggling hormonally. As a former athlete and as someone who “knew” how to “workout” and “eat well”, I was struggling physically and emotionally. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. My girlfriend suggested I work with Kat, and I was extremely skeptical. How would she be able to help me where others had failed? Ultimately, I gave her a chance. And now I’m in awe as I think about how different Kat and her approach is. She actually did bloodwork with me, to pinpoint exactly what was going on. I was feeling out of control and overwhelmed with where I was at in my life before I met Kat and Andrew. I had done an informational phone call with Kat but I wasn’t ready to do what I needed to to change yet. After doing a New Years challenge with them, I finally pulled the trigger. I was lost without Kat!
When I started working with Kat I was really at a loss as to why I couldn’t lose 10 pounds. I’ve always been a pretty active and naturally lean person, but all of my usual tricks of eating less calories and intermittent fasting didn’t work and I felt weight adding up slowly. I had a closet full of clothes I wanted to wear but didn’t feel comfortable in, I was always bloated, and my energy was crashing in the afternoon. I was already working with a good friend who is a health coach and had an appointment scheduled with a functional nutritionist (I thought in person would be better). The functional nutritionist was very expensive and rushed me through my appointment with a whirlwind of information. I left the appointment with a lot of questions and she was hard to reach after that. Kat, on the other hand, was coaching me every day and knew my daily habits so could make much better suggestions on my health. Kat helped walk me through habits that I thought were going to help me lose weight but were leaving my gut and hormones a mess!Once I entered the weight loss phase, I quickly began to drop the weight. It was such a relief because I truly thought I had tried everything. I was very stubborn in a lot of my ways and really needed to reframe my thinking. Not Just for Weight Loss!!
Long overdue review here— I’ve been working with Alta for over a year now. The six month blueprint that is implemented was so good I came back for more! I love and thrive off of accountability, and Kat is always checking in encouraging simple food tweaks that work the extra mile. I have always been very health and wellness focused, but it wasn’t until working with Alta that I began tracking my food. I didn’t come here for weight loss. I have always been naturally on the thin side. I came to optimize my gut health. Prior to Alta, I worked with another functional health practitioner who covered everything except the nutrition …and that is exactly what I was needing! I used to experience painful daily bloating. I always blamed certain foods — but with Kat’s knowledge and insight, we discovered what truly was going on with my gut and what it was communicating to me (meal timing and overall quantity of food were two big culprits for me)! Before tracking my food and a little bit (ok, a lot) of education from Kat, I was certain I was eating enough food ….boy was I wrong! I cannot say enough great things about Alta, Kat, Andrew and Alexa! After gaining 30 pounds over the last decade and dealing with low energy, a frozen shoulder and chronic asthma/sinus issues, I knew I needed to make my health a priority. Had an amazing experience with Alta
I really enjoyed my experience with Alta! When I started most of my issues was regarding bad digestion, poor sleep and bloating. In the program a blood work was included and to my surprise my cortisol was sky high! Then Kat and Alexa worked with me to balance my meals (i was basically eating only carbs) so I would eat more proteins and good fat. In 3 months I barely had any bloating after meals (and if I did I knew why), was sleeping great and did not rely on antiacid to go through the day. Things that I had not expected was that my hair looked more voluminous and shiny, my body got toned and i started loosing the dready cortisol belly that I had. I’m sure everything I learned i. This program will help me for life!

I can't say enough good things about Kat, Andrew, and Alta! I initially found Alta through Instagram and started following them, and I participated in a couple free challenges. I really liked the app and the advice I got during the challenges. The more I learned, the more I was intrigued by the idea of coaching. I'm a relatively healthy person blessed with good genetics and the ability to eat whatever I want, however after having my son 13 years ago plus approaching middle age/perimenopause, I was starting to notice weight gain. More importantly, my cholesterol was getting higher and I knew I wanted to change my eating habits. I signed up for coaching in April, 2024, and it was one of the best decisions I've made for myself. After six months, I had lost 20 pounds- all while eating MORE food than I ever had before. I have never been a breakfast eater, but I now know the importance of fueling my body properly. I had no idea what macros were and the idea of them sounded overwhelming, but I learned that it's really not, and Kat's guidance was invaluable. I'm now eating plenty of protein, fiber, and healthy fats, and making better choices when eating at restaurants. And, I don't feel deprived! I'm still able to eat things I love, like pizza. I've significantly improved my habits around eating and drinking water, and I dramatically cut back on my soda consumption, which is something I'd been wanting to do for several years. It might seem expensive, but the investment in yourself is worth it. I needed the accountability and guidance from someone else in order to do the things I knew I needed to do, and it worked. Everything I learned is easy to incorporate into my daily life, and I'm grateful to have found Alta and taken the leap!

It’s been an incredible 6 months and absolutely flew by.
