Just overall things were fine
Everything handled very smoothly
Great communication and easy transaction. Everyone involved wanted to ensure I was satisfied with the purchase, shipping and safe arrival of fantastic art pieces.
Bought a piece through Artsy.Initially very good but their offer/counteroffer is clunky. When I submitted a 2nd counteroffer, I then decided I couldn't be bothered , yet I could not accept the seller's prior counteroffer- I had to wait until mine had expired thus possibly irking the seller. Responses to e mails slow or non existent. At the finish , all done fine, so a good site but IT and comms needs improving (where have I heard of that before- like, all the time)
Clear communication about delivery.
I had made a lower bid on a picture, and it seemed to be accepted, but when I went to verify the purchase, it used the original price. Not a big deal, but unfortunate.
Was most happy to have this piece in my house
A very positive experience overall. The artwork matched the description, communication was prompt and helpful, and the delivery was handled professionally. Everything went smoothly from purchase to arrival. I would happily use Artsy again in the future.
The service was fast and everything was delivered as described.
Easy transaction and delivery. The piece was extremely well packed and arrived quickly and without a scratch.
Located a long sought after print which looked like an original. However, I had to buy the $2k+ print to verify that. It came with virtually no documentation, other than the Artsy email.
Artsy states that they will provide a certificate of authenticity for the works represented on their sites. In my interaction with them, they failed to provide a Certificate of Authenticity, and when I pushed them on it and withheld payment, they ceased to work to provide an industry accepted certificate of authenticity and stated that an opinion letter is as good as a COA. I am fighting this now. The actual gallery who presented the piece indicated that they would obtain a COA and provide that to me. Artsy stopped them from doing so... stating that there was no requirement. I do not trust Artsy. I do not recommend. Go through your normal gallery connections to ensure that you can have a good experience and get the documentation that you need to support your pieces.
Great user experience, just-right amount of information, smooth purchase process
Lauren was super helpful!- responsive- knowledgeable- answered all my questions- easy transaction- shipping was fast
I experienced a complex issue with an artwork purchased through Artsy involving condition, documentation, and international shipping. Once the matter was escalated, Artsy’s Trust & Safety team took the concerns seriously.Communication throughout was professional and careful, and Artsy worked persistently with the gallery to reach a fair resolution, which ultimately included a full refund.I was particularly impressed by the clarity and integrity shown during the later stages of the process. Overall, the experience gave me confidence that Artsy does stand behind buyers when genuine issues arise, and I have since made further purchases with confidence in Artsy’s platform.
Marian was very understanding and helpful. While I still wish that sellers would be required to provide some provenance indicating authenticity and aiding the future record-keeping of artworks, Marian did all she could in making the sale fair and trustworthy.
Everything was handled with great care and concern. Well packaged and i like they added a "signature required " for delivery.
Communication was prompt and thorough. Shipment was earlier than expected. Print was very well packaged. Print is in excellent condition.
Item was delivered without a valid COA. The letter that accompanied the piece could not be used as a COA. Lack of an authentic COA significantly decreases the value of the piece. I am in contact with Artsy now to 1) get the COA from the piece publisher or 2) provide instructions for return of the piece.
Quick and easy to deal withI'm happy with the item I got from company Artsy. That’s item is exactly what I was looking for.
