Had used the Dragonfly red for a while for listening to music on my laptop. It improved the 'spacing' of instruments. Out of the blue it failed to work. As I believe it is a 'software' issue, I contacted Audioquest for assistance. They responded originally, but ignored further correspondence once the issue was highlighted.For a supposed 'premium' brand their aftersales is apathetic. A brand I will avoid in future.
The company seems to make various kinds of snake oil. Based on my experience, the sound of its Dragonfly Cobalt is indistinguishable from the £9 Apple dongle and MacBook Pro's built-in jack.Using it with Shure 846 and a range of lossless sources.
