Here's the grammatically corrected version:---I used to trust these guys. I sent my son over there (1350 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360) for an oil change. His first car. First oil change.And the older, non-white guy who wears a wool beanie behind the counter told my son his front tires were bald and the backs were 2/32.My son calls me, feeling pressured to buy tires. No, I tell him, the tires aren't that bad.Turns out the fronts are 4/32 and the rears are 6/32.New tires are 10/32.He went in there for an oil change. This place would have had his business probably at the next oil change, but now it has lost its integrity and its reputation.Big Brand would have had my continued business, my wife's business, my other twin son's business. Now they have ruined their reputation. My community will know about it.I called corporate to explain. The guy was really good. Understood. Wouldn't want his kids in the hands of this shop. Said he'd pass it on to the manager or general manager to get back to me.No call from the manager, general manager, or the sleazeball from behind the counter.So, this appears to be corporate policy. Lie. Cheat and high-pressure sales for those with no experience buying tires. This high-pressure, no-integrity sales guy needs to either be fired or call my son and apologize for being a cheating sleazeball and promise not to do it again to anybody.SHAME on Big BRAND and shame on that salesperson.Short-term profits for ruining the long-term reputation.I heard these guys want to get to 500 stores by 2030. Not with that kind of business ethics and not with my business they won't.
I was an employee for this company when it was purchased by Percheron/ Big Brand in 2020 and this is my story of how this company has been run in the last 5 years! If you are a regular consumer you need to steer clear of this company. You have to realize that this is an investment company and it was apparent from the beginning they are only interested lining their own pockets. They wouldn't get their employees the proper equipment and fix any broken equipment in a timely manner in any way. They had no problems having an inexperienced individual working doing brake jobs and other important work on "guests" vehicles just so they could cash in and make their money. On multiple occasions I witnessed things that were broken by accident and management just covering it up as to not cost the company to make it right for their "guest". They use the cheapest O'Reilly parts they can find so they can maximize the markup and pay the new mechanics as little as they can to makes sure their pockets are lined first and foremost. In my opinion this company only has one thing on their mind and that is to make sure they can make as much as they can no matter what. I even had my manager tell me that he was such a good salesman that he could sell ice to an Eskimo. In the end they aren't taking care of their "guests" or their employees and only making sure they are taken care of! Keep in mind here that this profession requires constant training and this company never invested in making sure that their employees are trained and as a result improper techniques such as not performing proper alignment procedures such as recalibration of the ADADAS systems on modern vehicles which could lead to safety concerns while driving and i mentioned many times that only met complete discard. In short this is a vastly growing company that is stuck in the early 2000's in technology that isn't meeting the demand in a truly professional manner and anyone considering using their services should steer clear for the sake of your family
I took my Suv in for control arm replacement I arrived at 8AM and left at 10:05 I noted the time charged for labor was for 3.4 hours. The attached pictures showed a labor of 3.4 hours @$150.00for a total of $510.00 that I was charged for, I noted the grocery receipt to show that I left the Food city grocery store @10:35 Am the same morning which was only 2 miles away. Looks like I was overcharged by $210.00 Unfortunately When I went to upload the pictures on Yelp they were not able to post the pictures.
Miguel and Peter and Juan at Big Brand should get a huge raise. My daughter got a flat near them and she went right there with the tire losing air by the minute. They were 20 minutes from closing and suggested she come back tomorrow. She said the tire will be totally flat by then and explained if they could just look at it maybe they could fix it. Being nice men and knowing that they would be working past closing, they said let us look.There were two nails in the tire and my daughter was worried. They told her they might not be able to fix it, but they would at least look. They did and one nail was very short and they were able to take that out right away. The second nail was the problem but after discussion they decided it was safe to patch and they did that. Now, they are now past their closing time but all three men stayed and helped. The tire was patched and because they are just so kind they did not even charge her for a 3 man service. I used to buy all my tires at Costco or other places, but this will now be my go to tire and car repair center for my 3 cars and my daughter's one car. It is hard sometimes now to get decent service. It can be hard for some to just take care of a woman because gee, it is the nice thing to do. Big Brand did all that.So now they have 3 new customers. I also called today and spoke to Peter and what a wonderful guy he is. He told me about their other services and if you buy your tires there, they will rotate for free and repair for free. Just wow. I am so happy to be able to write this review.
Manager at the warm springs location is #1 in my Book ,he's full of knowledge on many older cars teaching this young techs what it takes to diag an older vehicle, I feel this company should be proud to have this honest and upfront person running this store hope they fix the light on the marquee I almost missed the location saw it from Sonic next door Sending family and friends here the experience was eye opening compared to some shops I've been to 5 stars!!!!
