Good experience until the end.

Had worked with salesman Lynn S. For a couple weeks finding the right vehicle, he was patient, informative, and responsive. We communicated in person, phone, text and fax. The sales manager was polite, and willing to work to get the right deal for us. After days of negotiations, and showing them quotes from other dealers, we settled on a trade value, and price. We gave a deposit and scheduled a closing/pickup time for Saturday AM. I checked with my Credit Union Friday afternoon, and they said they work with Larry Miller Subaru and out credit was good enough to get us the best rates, so we could just let them do the paperwork. Saturday AM we arrive, fill out all paperwork, and just as we are about to sing and drive home in our new car, the F&I guy says our credit isn't good, but he was able to make some calls and get s deal at another bank, and we should hurry and take it, at s much higher interest rate than our CU quoted. I refused, he got frustrated and went back to his office. Back and forth we went for half an hour or more, he wound up back with our own credit union, but still would not go down to what they had quoted us. We walked out. Later I contacted our sales person to see if they had come to their senses, but he said they still won't budge, and we should call our credit union on Monday to get our interest rate. We didn't want to take time from work on Monday, so we called Twin Falls Subaru, who had the exact same car, color, trim, package, relayed our story, and gave them all the numbers we had negotiated. They called back a few minutes later, and were able to beat the out the door price with the same trade & down, and give us the interest rate we wanted with our Credit Union. We drove down there, signed papers, turned in our trade and down payment and drove our new car home. So, moral of the story - always know where you are on price, trade value, credit score and interest rates before you start negotiating. Stand your ground, and never be afraid or embarrassed to walk away.
