FRAUD - Took My Money, No Website Delivered, Now DisappearedBrand
In August 2024, I hired Brandspark.us to build a website for my travel business. I paid in full upfront and was promised professional web development services by Ken Smith, who presented himself as a "Senior Business Consultant & Project Manager."What Happened:Paid the full amount in August 2024, plus additional money for content management and still haven'treceived a fully functioning website. They stopped working on the projectand stopped responding to my communication. Now, their website (brandspark.us) is entirely downThey have disappeared with my moneyRed Flags I Discovered Too Late:WHOIS search shows the domain is registered in PAKISTAN, not the US or Canada, as they claimedThey listed fake addresses: 5719 Balcones Dr, Austin, TX and 740 8 Ave SW, Calgary, ABThe glowing reviews on their site were clearly fabricatedThey hid their true identity and location from the beginningThis was a fraudulent operation from day one. They presented themselves as a legitimate North American business but were running a scam to steal money from unsuspecting clients.Contact Info Used (For Others to Avoid):Ken Smith: Phone: +1 (512) 881-5244 | +1 (587) 907-4777I have filed reports with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, FBI IC3, and multiple consumer protection agencies. If you have also been scammed by this company, please report it immediately and share your story.Do NOT trust this company. They are thieves.BrandSpark's statement that they "completed" my website is completely false. The website they delivered was unusable - filled with stock photos that aren't my business, incorrect information about my services, and multiple non-functional features.I sent them a comprehensive list of all the changes required to make the website functional and accurate. They acknowledged receipt and stated they were "working on it" and would get back to me once the changes were completed. That was on March 6th. Since then - complete silence. No updates, no follow-up, nothing. This wasn't a completed project. It was an abandoned one. Many parts of the website simply didn't work, and the corrections I provided were never implemented despite their promises. The stress and financial impact of being left with a dysfunctional website I couldn't use to run my business ultimately forced me to close Travelalways entirely.BrandSpark had months to make the corrections they promised. Instead, they ignored me and are now claiming the work was finished.Don't be misled by their response. The facts speak for themselves: they delivered a non-functional product with numerous issues, promised to fix it after I provided a detailed list of required changes, and never followed through.
