Caplor Energy appears to have ceased trading! Good luck if you’re in mid project with them. Not a word from them and phones not being answered!
Installer totally messed up with battery connection with possibly wrong email entered was told he would need to contact Tesla to fix problem haven’t heard anything yet and can’t contact caplor sent emails called office no response very frustrating service UNPROFESSIONAL only want them to finish job correctly and completely my advice to anyone who looks at caplor for anything DONT will rethink review if problem solved
There were some minor issues with the installation which were resolved within the contract. However, their major failing is communication, particularly when something went wrong. Unfortunately the heating/hot water system failed barely 2 months installation. It then became apparent that there was no emergency contact for repair. I had the phone number of a team leader who provided details of a local company for repair. Yet again, not straightforward: both numbers were for office and not out-of-hours. The issue was unresolved through the New Year weekend 2023. An engineer from the second company came within an hour but was unable to repair as it seemed a circuit board had failed. The manufacturer LG was no help because they too were difficult to contact and, when an order was placed, delivery was quoted as 5-7 days - hardly suitable for such an important piece of equipment. The irritation was enhanced by having a premium rate phone number for contact. Overall- rubbish.
Parked on a pedestrian crossing not allowing access for wheelchairs or pushchairs almost causing multiple accidents for pedestrians having to cross on unsafe parts of the road. Your vehicle has not only been parked here for a small amount of time it has been here since Friday evening and it is now Sunday evening! Number plate WP66 LGU.Suggest you have a few words with your workers about where they park because this is very unsafe for disabled, elderly and family’s.
They were quick and efficient on the quote / install, flexible to my needs and everything looks, and is working, super!It's brought down my electricty costs by half (approx) and it was the best feeling in the world to see the electricity usage on the smart meter fall (and keep falling).Next project is to find more roof space to put on additional panels and to get an additional battery.
Right from inquiring, through estimate and design, installation and commissioning we were kept informed all the way. Staff were polite and supportive, and respected being at someone else's property. we are very pleased with the panels and the system.
Just had solar panels plus batteries installed. Can’t rate them highly enough. From the consultations through to Vinny the installer Teme Valley Electricians and the scaffolders they used, they were the loveliest, most helpful people you could ask for! They are brilliant, they have worked so hard in unpredictable weather conditions with amazing humour and professionalism. The work has been completed to the highest standard with minimal fuss or disruption, Thank you!!!!
George from Caplor came to replace a failed component. What a pleasant chap, he sorted our problem very quickly and identified one we hadn’t even noticed, supplying a fix which now has our system working brilliantly. Thank you George and Caplor.
Updated 27th April.Today a really friendly, capable man called George came around and fixed our system. He also took the time to explain how everything works, downloaded the app for me and left his number in case of future queries. Brilliant service - just wish this came as standard aftercare.Original post:Our pv panels were installed in February. I was happy with the installation, but there have been lots of problems.A sales team came at my request spring 2022, and the scaffolding company came the week before they erected the scaffolding. There was no effort to prepare me for the installation; decisions needed to be made, areas needed to be cleared, and a strong WiFi signal was required. I had no idea what the installation would involve and could have used some advance information. I was, however, happy with the install, and the team that did it.But post install I have had a complete lack of information and very little benefit from the system. I was at work when the handover phonecall happened so didn't get one. I have a link to an app that Android won't allow me to download as it's a potential threat, so I can't check up on it easily. The inverter stopped working after a couple of weeks, fixed after a few days by an update, the system fused 4 times in 3 days and then stopped working completely at the end of March. 4 weeks wait for an engineer.Everyone I speak to seems very nice; maybe the workforce is too small for the amount of customers now. I have been asked several times if I would recommend Caplor since the install. I havent been able to do so.
I was very impressed by this company and staff (both customer services and installion team). Very professional and competent. Had a 4Kw Solar system installed and given it is a multistage process (site survey, scaffolding, physical panel install, electrical install, grid connection), right from the start, they kept me informed in the process, insurance covered the deposit, dealt with any questions I had and installed on time scale stated. Very efficient, hardworking and friendly installers and provided all the relevant certification, building regs certificates, mcs certificate etc. Would not hesitate to recommend them for solar panel installation.
Solar PV installed and commissioned on 19 Oct 2022. The system has never worked as advertised. We continue to export energy to the grid with a battery at zero. Very poor response from the Caplor customer support team, very slow to react, keep getting “holding” messages. Began to wonder if they were still in business. We are pensioners and have invested in a greener solution for our energy needs but remain frustrated by the lack of action or even basic customer care. If no reply/ rectification soon will taking it the law.15 MarchThe firm ware within the inverter has been updated. Now waiting and monitoring the system to see if it improves the situation
My experience with Caplor has been superb. From first contacting Caplor until the installation of my EV charger, nothing has been to much bother.I received a quote in good time from my allocated sales manager Pete, he answered all my queries and was able to give me a detailed account of what equipment would be installed and the capabilities I should expect from the equipment. Pete arranged a pre install visit, that helped make up my mind about location of the EV charger, but also made it clear what to expect should I wish to take the next step into renewables and install Solar panels. Marti was excellent and discussed cable routes and equipment location. By doing this, it has assured me that when I do have my PV, I'm ready in all respects.The installation team were very polite, led by Brad, he talked me through each step of the install and completed his work to a very high standard.Dylan was directed to carry out parts of the installation and at each step of the way, his work was checked. It's really great to see young engineers and apprentices working this way, and Caplor should be commended for taking the time to train the young engineers of tomorrow.The back office support has been great throughout and I can't wait to take the next step of my renewable journey with Caplor.
Our 12 solar PV panels and battery were installed at beginning of October. The installation was good and all the cabling is neat and tidy. I am pleased with the system performance but when the installation was completed I was told to expect an email which would allow me to log on to the Growatt app and see the data from the datalogger connected to the inverter. I didn't receive an email so couldn't log on to the app. When I then received an invoice I contacted Caplor to explain that I didn't consider the work had be completed satisfactorily as I was unable to see the system data. It was agreed that I would pay all but £1000 and this would be paid when the issue was rectified. The only thing I got was an email saying I think I have solved the problem look out for an email. I didn't receive any email and the message seemed a bit ambiguous anyway. When I eventually had a bit if time just before Xmas I investigated the datalogger myself and after working out what I thought the issue was I contacted Growatt and explained how I thought it could be rectified. Growatt tech support then fixed the issue and I was able to see the system data on the app. So 5 stars to Growatt for their help. My experience does make me wonder how helpful Caplor would be if something goes wrong with the panels or battery, but hopefully all will be ok and there will be no need to contact them again.
Caplor installed a 15 panel solar pv + battery system early November 2022. ~6kWp and Huawei SUN2000 Inverter 3.68kWP and Huawei LUNA2000 5kW Battery.From the very beginning Caplor provided a fantastic customer experience. Peter answered numerous questions, gave both an online estimate and then visited for a full site inspection and adjusted the plan accordingly.The fitting and setup was pain free and all trades people and Caplor support staff were excellent.The system is performing well given the time of year and looking forward to seeing how does in Spring and Summer.

Caplor energy installed an Air Sourced Heat Pump in an old quirky building. All the advice regarding the installation from both plumbing and electrical engineers was very practical, very professional, and ideally suited to the building. This produced an excellent and well-designed system optimising existing installed components and only adding new equipment where necessary for the type of system installed. This left us with an efficient and cost-effective heating system. All the installation team were conscientious, exceptionally polite, tidy and very easy to get on with and in some ways, we were sorry to see them leave. I cannot sing their praises highly enough.I have no hesitation in recommending Caplor Energy to advise and install a domestic heating system.
Happy to write a review and praise Caplor Energy for the efficient and professional way they have handled my install of solar panels with 5Kw battery and iBoost system.From the initial enquiry through to final commissioning last week the service I have received has been first class. Knowledgeable and polite staff who know their products well and can talk from first hand experience as they have systems installed in their own homes. Top class installation team who had to work in extremely cold weather conditions to get the job done. Following a return visit from Teme Valley Electrical yesterday to make some final adjustments the system appears to all be working well and I can monitor everything easily through the App on my phone. Thank you to the whole team including sales, admin, scaffolders, roofers and electricians for an excellent job. The middle of winter is not the ideal time to have this kind of system installed when daylight hours are short and sunshine is in limited supply but within the first week I can already see the savings on energy purchase that the system has provided. Well done for a great job Caplor.
When a lightening storm caused a freak local power surge damaging our professionally installed air source heat pump Caplor engineers rapidly diagnosed and replaced the fault in a circuit board to supply us with beautifully hot water once again.
We're delighted with the 4kW solar panels and batteries installed for our home. The fitter and electricians were really professional, hard-working and friendly. They did a great job - all the electrics very neatly done.The system is working very well - producing more than we need currently (it is summer) and charging up the batteries which then provides all the power we use in the evening and overnight. We will arrange selling the amount we export to the grid to one of the energy suppliers soon.We also enjoy watching the app which gives so much detail about what electricity is being produced and where it is going. It is the perfect set up to suit our home and power usage so we are delighted with it 👍
