I have used Chirp for a few years now and like the books, prices, and variety. However, I am now having a problem with the app and just sent my third message through their website with no response. If they don’t answer this time I will probably not use them anymore. The app crashes every 23 minutes. It’s happened so often I started timing and it’s really every 23 minutes. It is not enjoyable to listen and constantly have to restart the app.
Chirp is fine some of the time. But beware! They disappear your books! Four of my books have disappeared from my list. I now keep a Note with disappeared books, ChatGPT says they do this all the time, as a matter of policy. What you must do is go onto the Chirp website, search for the book, click to buy. They will tell you you own it. Then you can listen to it and send it to your mail. There it sits waiting for you.
Customer service answered my questions and fixed the payment issue I'm very satisfied with Chirp
The app has very poor performance...often stops and says there is an issue with 'download'. Listening this evening and had to restart the book 4 times in as many hours. Book selection is OK.
I purchased the chirp table massager to keep my spine streched out to help with my herniated disks and it does it wonderfully. Didnt really buy it for the neck massage part but using it stopped my horrible whiplash pain. This this is WELL worth the money
Thank goodness the audio book I purchased was cheap because it does not play in the app and their suggestion to download the book cannot be accomplished with the options they offer.
Chirp has a lot of great deals on a wide variety of books, but their app has A LOT of issues. Books just disappear. Today a book disappeared that I had only read about 22%. Some finished books show up in My Library on my app, others do not. They show up in an archived section on their website and I have no idea how to get them back onto my app. They will tag a book if you already own it, unless it’s a different edition or publisher then no, they don’t let you know it’s already in your collection which is spread out over several sections (all, in progress, finished, my library, archived) Apparently they track books by publisher rather than book title & author — which is bizarre. The only way to contact customer support is via email and it takes them days to reply and their answer is ALWAYS “try refreshing your app” The only thing they excel at is selling the books — no issue taking your money whatsoever. The only reason I stick with Chirp is because I have bought hundreds of books from them over the years that SHOULD BE in “my library” and I don’t want to walk away from them. Buyer Beware
I've bought a lot of books and been mostly happy but I needed customer assistance as book I ordered didn't show up in MyLibrary. I've contacted "Customer Assistance" multiple times. I've received a number of automated nonhelpful replies. Now I've received 2 horribly complicated emails about multiple things I could waste my time doing that are not relevant to the situation. Am going to use a different book service.
I bought my dad a gift card for Chirp because I thought it was such a cool concept and he loves audiobooks! He reads a ton and the deals on the app are awesome. He accidentally purchased an abridged version of a book and their customer service was great. So nice and helpful. It made me like the company even more than I already did. Highly recommend!!
I listen to books only in my car. About 75% of the time, I had to reboot my phone to get the app to connect to my car's Bluetooth. I asked chirp about it. They advised to uninstall and re-install the app. This did not stop the problem. Because I was having to restart my phone so oftem, I decided it was too much of a hassle and stopped using it.
Chirp never works for me and even if you reach out to someone I never seem to get a response back. Never can get my bank to connect ever
New email.Now do I still have all the books purchased in library?????Miss Chirp until figured out how to update email. At 78 yo it takes me forever to deal with the Techno Mafia. Now up against iPhone cleaner. Deleted all my family contacts. Oh well, on the road again’nnnn

Great book choices and sometimes you get awesome deals! This is an excellent choice for me, as I travel by car weekly for work. It definitely makes the trips go by quickly!
Although I’ve recommended this ap to friends and family, for me there is not a great deal of my preferences offered. The prices are great. I enjoy books about the people who settled this country. Historical romance, but deeper into their lives as they settle and explore the new world.
I am very impressed with your website and the daily emails with audiobook choices. I am also pleased with the prices and how quickly a book is downloaded. I listen while painting and it’s a perfect combination of activities. I also appreciate that your site shows if I’ve already heard an audiobook. With your prices so low if I’m not enjoying a book I’m okay with not finishing it. Thank you.

Chirp has a great selection of books at good prices. I like to have a variety to listen to depending on the project, hobby or trip I am doing. I still have thirty books in my library to select from, domes series and others stand alone books.
