BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY'S SERVICES!If I could rate them with a zero, I would.I used Citizen Shipper to get my puppy from GA to South FL. The quotes came in quickly and I chose a driver. She was great! However, while my puppy was on his way to me, I discovered that this company not only had a charge of $139.99 for making a reservation through them (which I expected), but an additional charge of $169 was on my credit card for an insurance upgrade that I didn't want or authorize. Their rule is you need to cancel this BEFORE the end of the trip, which I did. I then wrote to them, because there was no phone number, and explained what happened. I had not heard back from them in a week and a half, so I followed up with an email to customer support. They informed me that an emailed response was sent to me on 2/14 which I never received. My puppy arrived on 2/15. I told them that I had not received the email. They resent it to me today with my follow-up. It was an offer to use their service in the future with a partial credit. The email had no date in which I had to respond. Since I hadn't received the email, I told Dana at the company again that I had not received the email and that I would like a full refund. To which she replied that I had not responded to the email that I didn't receive and that there is nothing that she could do. I told her that there was no respond by date in the email and it was only a week and a half ago, and she refused to help. No matter how much I tried, she would not budge. I then called my credit card company to dispute the partial charge of $169.This company should be responsible and do the right thing in giving me a refund. Especially since I never authorized this charge.Although the driver was great, I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone. Charging someone deceitfully is not a company that I would ever recommend, or use again.

Tim is the best. Kept me updated, right on time, and did extra things he didn't need to! My pup loves hard boiled eggs and Tim made some for her trip! Highly recommend him!

Safe ground pet transport
I was at a loss.our much anticipated puppy had to be returned to the breeder, who was 1200 miles away.We found Citzen Shipper, started getting responses, and our dog was on her way in just a few days.Our driver kept in touch with us step by step, and he was on time with pick-up and delivery, sending progress reports along the way. We got photos of a happy puppy when she arrived.Oh, and the pricing for the service was more than reasonable.I don't know if we just got lucky or if all the transporters in this network are this easy to work with, but I won't forget this company if I ever need to transport a pet in the future.

My experience as a driver with Citizenshipper was deeply disappointing and emotionally exhausting. I joined the platform in good faith, expecting fairness, professionalism, and equal treatment. Unfortunately, that expectation was not met.Throughout my time as a driver, I observed consistent inequities in how policies were applied and how driver concerns were addressed. Support interactions often felt dismissive, lacking empathy or genuine investigation. Decisions appeared to be made without transparency, leaving drivers feeling powerless and unheard.As a driver of color, this experience carried an additional emotional burden. Repeated interactions created the impression that certain drivers were treated with greater skepticism and less grace than others. Whether intentional or not, the cumulative effect was an environment that felt unequal and alienating.What is most troubling is that these concerns did not appear to be isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern within the organization. When systems fail to recognize or correct these disparities, they risk reinforcing harm rather than fostering inclusion.I wanted this platform to succeed—for myself and for the community it serves—but the lack of accountability, equity, and respectful engagement made that impossible. Until Citizenshipper takes meaningful steps to address these issues and ensure fair treatment for all drivers, I cannot recommend working with them.

I am reporting a fraudulent transaction with a driver listed on CitizenShipper. Details are as follows:• Service: Pet transport from Winston Salem, NC to Portland, OR• Date of Payment: 02Jan2026• Amount Paid: $900• Payment Method: VenmoDescription of Issue:• I paid the agreed 50% now and balance when he picked up my dog. • The driver did not perform the service, and all attempts to contact them have failed.• I have attached screenshots of the transaction and correspondence for your review.• Im uncertain of how you screen and monitors drivers. This is unacceptable and will cause me to take a week off to manage. I want to speak to a person to ensure Im refunded and driver discontinued. I request the following actions:1. Refund of the $900 payment 2. Investigation into this driver to prevent others from being scammed.3. Removal or suspension of the driver account if fraud is confirmed.4. I felt in danger by his threat for my dog and my well-being. Text “Your principles are costing you. Remember this day? “ Thank you for your immediate attention. On the plus side, Shadea got our dogs to us in 3 1/2 days for a 3 day trip Az to Wisconsin. Very reasonable timing. She said she let our puppy sit on her lap. Which was nice, she sent progress photos and let us know where they were every day. She seems to genuinely like dogs and took them to a dog park at least once. She’s a pleasant lady.Our disappointments were: that she started our leg of her trip with 7 dogs total and 2 cats. Initially when booking with her, she had told Dawn, my wife, that she would only have 2 cats and our dogs. My wife had warned her that one of our dogs didn’t get along with other dogs, so of course there was some kind of dog snarling/snapping. Not good nor surprising with that many dogs in a mini van for days on end.Although she drove the dogs in a timely fashion, some how she managed to go from AZ to Texas, to Arkansas to Florida and to New Jersey on the trip. She mentioned at some point that she also was getting dogs in Washington DC before bringing them after texting us at 4:40am and delivering them to us at 5am!We had pre bagged am & pm food for each dogs meals which the puppy had only eaten 1/2 of and the older dogs less than that. To some degree, the puppy and especially the older dog not eating much is to be expected.Both dogs came in the door clearly Very, Very thirsty, hungry, stinking of urine and emotionally drained. When they came home they ran to drink out of the toilet which we’ve never seen them do. Clearly under nourished and thirsty.She covered more than twice the miles that AZ to Wisconsin would take, based on what she told us. To do that our dogs would have been in her mini van twice as long as the initial agreement was for. We didn’t care for the lack of transparency both with how many pets and how many hours they’d have in transport.I wouldn’t use her services again. Ckearly Citizenshipper is a 3rd party platform that doesn’t provide “guard rails” to provide port owners with predictable experiences. Although I don’t believe Shadea intentionally mislead us, we wouldn’t have hired her had we known how many dogs she hauls, nor how many hours in the car the dogs would have endured.

I used CitizenShipper and selected Pet Transit Solutions; they were professional and flexible when coordinating with me for a very difficult court-order stolen pet surrender and delivery back home to me. They handled the situation sensitively for everyone (even for the thief surrendering her) and put my parrot’s best interests first. They were attentive and even stopped to pick up some of her favorite fruit for her to nibble on. I never asked them to, they just did it because they felt that was what she needed for the most comfortable trip possible out of a bad situation and a lengthy journey home. Pickup was scheduled 2 days before and delivery from California to Seattle was completed in a remarkable 16 hours door-to-door. Far and above what I was expecting and better by far than anything anyone else was offering. Pricing was absolutely fair and a hefty tip was added. If I could give 10 stars I would do it without even hesitating. Just stop looking, book these people, these are your people!! CitizenShipper make matching with potential pet transport companies very easy and their websites simple to use and the information provided was more than worth their fee coordinating with Pet Transit Solutions. A wonderful experience amidst an awful situation.

Absolutely horrible company! Do NOT use them! They suggested a scammer to me who said my dogs would be traveling by air, then after I paid $750 that my 55 lb dog would be "under the seat"! Assuring me it would be ok! Obvious scammers, lost $750 and citizen shipper wont help me get the money back and even a WORSE wont return my $230 fee for introducing me to the scammer! They dont vet the shippers. They dont protect you in any way! Don't use them!
