Terrible
Terrible. Workers are rude and mouthy. They yell at you when you make suggestions or advocate for a loved one. I and family members have had experience of being yelled at, told to shut-up and told to f off. And when you give them back their same attitude, they turn it around and act like the innocent one, claiming they are being verbally abused when they started the verbal abuse by shouting . They are lazy and always cancelling when they find out from each other that a client is having a difficult day. When they are scheduled to be a companion, all they want to do is sit and read their book. They clearly don't understand the purpose of being a companion- it is not sitting to read or to be on their phone or sleep when it's the night shift. They don't even engage with the clients that have some mental competence. They sit on their phones and are not aware of their surroundings and are not protecting their client (the purpose of them being there). The worst is that when they screw up, they say it's because they are not given any information on the client, that they don't know the assignment. A joke if you ask me, because when you try to tell them "the assignment" they tell you off. I will say that not all are like this, but I've had my experience with quite a few. This has been ongoing for months.
