Order shipped to the wrong address, never received it
We placed an order and carefully entered my shipping address during checkout. The store's system changed my address without my knowledge or consent and shipped a $500 order to a completely different address that I have no connection to. When I contacted customer service immediately, they refused to help and essentially washed their hands of the problem. I never received the items I paid for because their checkout system changed my shipping information without authorization. This is either a serious technical problem with their website. Warning to others: Double-check your order confirmation email before the package ships. Their system may change your address without telling you, and they will not take responsibility when it happens.

Great for Steelcase office chair replacement parts
I have a great Steelcase chair that I've had for years. The gas cylinders that allow the seat to raise up and down eventually run out of gas and need to be replaced. I discovered Crandall watching one of their videos - "Replacing the Gas Cylinder on a Steelcase Criterion Chair" - and decided to order a replacement cylinder from them. I'm not a fix-it guy, but even I could replace the cylinder with the video and written instructions provided by Crandall. They shipped the gas cylinder via FedEx -- for free! I've purchased two cylinders from them over the past few years and am very please with the product and service. They will also answer questions via chat or email, if needed.

Why would anybody pay full price?
Why would anybody pay full price? I needed an ergonomic chair and was disheartened to see that it seems to be one of those industries where you get what you pay for, and it's a possibility to spend several hundred dollars and face real buyer's remorse. So, you have to shell out over a thousand dollars to get something actually good.Well, Crandall is the antidote. I'm really happy with my Steelcase Leap chair. a couple of scuff marks on the base are the only giveaway that this isn't a brand new chair that would retail for $1600. I'll GLADLY take those minor cosmetic blemishes for an $800 savings. It's a great chair and I also like that I'm supporting a family owned American small business by buying it.I'll definitely be recommending them to everyone looking for a premium office chair.

I purchased a refurbished Aeron chair from Crandalls and from beginning to end, it was a fantastic experience. I accidentally typed the address incorrectly and emailed customer service to correct it. They responded in minutes, asked me to call, and were lovely - all fixed in five minutes. The chair arrived when they said it would, looking brand new, and the assembly instructions were great. I’d buy from them again in a heartbeat and have recommended them already!

Fantastic Experience
Just got my refurbished Steelcase Leap and I dont know how they did it, but Crandall has actually improved upon this iconic design. I could not be happier with this purchase.The only thing that surpasses this chair, is their customer service. White glove is how I would describe it.They take their time to ensure you are completely happy with your purchase. I felt "hand-held" throughout the whole process, which was needed for a big purchase.Can't remember the last time I was this enthusiastic about writing a review.

It would have been nice to know I needed to send a picture of my chair before I ordered my new seat cushion. Its in a dropdown under warranty appearantly. I guess im an idiot for not reading the fine print. Instead I wasted time researching what I needed, ordered it before traveling away from home. I recieved confirmation to see thanks we are working on your order. Then when im 900 miles from my chair im told they need it before starting my order. I thought thats what the deposit was for.

Amazing experience for the following reasons: 1. Very empathetic and responsive support. I was not able to add a coupon due to website issues so they offered me a discount post purchase with no delays. 2. Delivery was on point. Shipped exactly on the date promised and delivered 2 days ahead of promised date. 3. Post purchase experience was great. The chair i ordered was of slightly different color that what was shown in website and the team was more than happy to give me a new color asap. 4. Product itself was great, good quality (Ive used a new harman miller and steelcase chairs at work and these are as good as the new ones.

Terrible experience with Crandall Office
Crandall sells a lot of chairs that have already been returned. I selected an A stock chair to avoid problems! As soon as I received my chair I contacted support and asked about possible remedies such as the possibility of being sent a replacement part that might fix the chair. The seat on the chair is tilted to one side so it's like sitting on an incline. Underneath the plastic was broken and the lever was incredibly loose. My question about possible remedy was NEVER answered. They finally said I have one week to return the chair. Well it turns out I need a minimum 14" screwdriver and special tool to separate the seat from the spring. I cannot believe anyone sells defective chairs and then fight people over refunds. I told Crandall they can have their shipping company pick the chair up anytime, but they don't want that. They would rather stick me with a defective chair!Understand that these chairs are difficult to return so you are better off finding one locally. I will update this review, but they have already stopped communicating with me.

Exceptional, start to finish
I bought the Steelcase Leap V2 chair through Crandall, remanufactured, and saved about $1000 on buying the same exact chair brand new.Even just the optional, polished aluminum frame alone would have cost me an extra $400 to buy new.My chair with the 5% discount was just under $800.It was delivered 13 days early.I did have to remove the seat and adjust the gas cylinder again to make it tighter after assembling, and I found out you need a screwdriver with a 10 inch shank, meaning about 14 inches overall, so I had to buy that from Amazon for $12, but other than that I'm very impressed with this chair and the entire experience, start to finish.It had no significant scratches of any kind whatsoever, their BioKnit fabric was a good choice, and after just two days in the chair (and with the addition of stretching), the back pain I've been experiencing for the past few months is starting to go away.Their office staff has been very easy to deal with and helpful with any questions, and their videos on YouTube were very helpful.I like this chair so much I'm thinking about buying a second one from them in the near future, and have been recommending them to everyone I know.I could have bought this chair for about $500 used, but it wouldn't have been with new arm pads, gas cylinder, slightly thicker foam than original, etc., and most of all, their 12 year warranty.Crandall is very, very highly recommended.In my experience, they are an excellent business; the way businesses in America used to be.

Good and Bad.
Pros: They sell refurbished versions of expensive chairs for half the price.Cons: You get what you pay for. Even though the chair looks improved on the outside, the mechanism is very much defective. I received a wobbly crooked chair that was causing me back pain I never had before in a boring dining room chair. I tried to show them photos of my chair being crooked but they said there's nothing wrong with it. In the end I had to return my chair back to them and I got charged a fee because I didn't see the fine print hidden in their site that custom design chairs have a restocking fee. I ended up throwing away $80 into the toilet and ultimately I just bought a brand new Herman Miller chair that has not caused me any back pain. Do not buy refurb chairs, it's just not the same.

Don't buy new! NO NO! Refurb w/Crandal is Superior!
I purchased a refurbished Steelcase Leap v2 from Crandall. It was between Crandall and BTOD. They are both great companies. In fact, my last new chair was from BTOD. Crandall won this purchase because they use totally new foam pads that are 3/4" thicker than OEM.Frankly, I was a pain in the neck customer. I admit it. Firstly, I had trouble putting the chair together. The gliders were hard for me because I didn't read the directions and I have zero mechanical reasoning. They talked me through it. I had the plastic backwards.Secondly, I was complaining about the lack of lumbar support. Again, my bad. I hadn't read the directions and had the adjustment knobs reversed in my mind. They straighten me out and the lumbar was fine.The chair feels like new because most of it is and the steel guts are renewed beautifully.Throughout my being a pain, Kim Koster was very patient with me. The chair is top notch and in my opinion superior to a new one, due to the thicker OEM cushion. The customer service is better than top notch. The folks are genuinely kind and concerned. They WANT you to be happy with their products.

They Have Outstanding Service!
A lot of companies give good service, and some excellent, but Crandall Office refurbished furniture gave me outstanding service! I'm old enough to try the printed directions first, before looking online for videos. I was assembling a Steelcase Leap chair, and one thing wasn't really explained in the written instructions, and I had a problem with the adjustment of the chair. Crandall, worked with me for over a week to help me figure it out, and then tell me which video to watch. They were incredibly helpful, both by email and by phone, and we resolved my problem. I recommend them to everyone who wants reconditioned office furniture at a reasonable price. They aren't the cheapest, but the quality of their work, and dedication to helping customers resolve their issues is worth every penny.

I ordered a Steelcase Gesture factory return from Crandall Office and could not ask for a better experience. The price was excellent, it shipped immediately, arrived quickly, and is exactly what I needed. I can't recommend them highly enough.
