Using Caramel with Bring a Trailer
The process was not entirely clear for first-time users, and there were a few initial issues to work through. Once those were identified and understood, communication improved and everything proceeded smoothly. When using a third party to manage a transaction between two parties, some challenges are to be expected, and overall the transaction was completed successfully. Things to understand - Time frame 1 to 2 weeksCars selling over a certain amount 50% when receive title/pickup remainder when delivery/title.Buyer transfers fund to Caramel and Caramel handles paying seller.Not all title transactions are the same (different state requirements)Have your paper work ready before starting your transaction.I’m sure theres more but this is what stood out during our tranaction.I would use Caramel again knowing what I know now!

I purchased a vehicle online and Riley from Caramel couldn’t have made the transaction any easier. I was pleasantly surprised at how organized all files sent to sign were and how easy it was to wire the down payment. Very organized and professional. Riley was extremely patient with me and my anxiety….. i’ve never purchased a car online, let alone site unseen, and the dealership that I worked with and Caramel both put me at ease and made me feel like I was dealing with brothers and family members not thirsty, car salesman or companies that are trying to rob you in someway, shape or form and or steal your identity. Riley has been in contact with me every step of the way since the first moment we spoke on the phone he’s explained & answered any question I have had with nothing but kindness & patience. I really truly appreciate transparency and professional kindness when I’m doing business with someone, especially over the phone. I highly recommend Caramel and would do business with them again!! If you’re a person with trust issues or are feeling any type of nervousness by doing business with a company over the phone this is not the company to worry about. They are trustworthy and I would definitely do business with them again, Happily!! Thanks Riley, you are awesome!!!

Communication efforts horrible. I paid $3,000 down payment, however, only $2,500 was used, so I should get a refund of $500

4.5 stars - pretty slick
4.5 stars - 1st time user having bought a vehicle off Bring a Trailer. Pretty slick. I did have to chase around a little bit as I received the vehicle well before I received the title. I think someone made a mistake somewhere in the process but that was made right fairly quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to use Caramel again in the future.

The company made a mistake
The company made a mistake with the paperwork causing DMV to refuse to transfer the title. The company and its people moved quickly to resolve the issues immediately and followed up to make sure everything was resolved. They stood by their service and people. Great response.
