A 0 star review
A 0 star review. I reserved a vehicle online for 7 days, submitted all my information, and scheduled a pickup for Friday. Wanting to be proactive, I visited the dealership on Tuesday after receiving confirmation that the car would be available. To my surprise, the vehicle wasn’t there. The manager—whose attitude was anything but professional—told me the car was at the GMC shop for a repair on one of the rear seat screens.Despite the inconvenience, I agreed to proceed with the paperwork. Moments later, the manager returned and said he couldn’t move forward unless he added more to the price—an unexpected and unjustified change. His demeanor was dismissive and unprofessional, making it clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority.Eastern Sterling Motors failed on multiple fronts: poor communication, lack of transparency, and a complete disregard for the customer experience. The customer service rep I initially dealt with was helpful—until I raised my concerns. After that, he stopped responding altogether. This dealership operates like a bad joke. If you’re considering buying a car here, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Eastern Motors needs serious management training, starting with replacing individuals who clearly aren’t fit for leadership.Bottom line: I do not recommend Eastern Sterling Motors. Stay far away.

Clutch Calamity
I took a new-to-me 2020 Honda Civic Si to the Norris Honda dealership due to clutch concerns within the 7 day window (car had appx. 64234 miles) and was told it should be replaced and brought it back to Easterns Laurel for examination; however, your service department dismissed these claims and I have been experiencing severe slipping in gears 6 & 5 and minor slippage in gear 4. This vehicle also has a TSB for the clutch readily available online. I’m unsure of why the issue was ignored and why I was told everything was all good. Unfortunately, I am now saddled with an almost 4K bill. I’ve exclusively driven manual cars as my daily driver for almost 10 years and I’ve never seen a clutch fail in this manner without prior abuse or defect. I’m incredibly frustrated because I alerted Easterns to the issue literally as soon as humanly possible. No one is responding back to me. Customer service didn’t return my call and the inbox is full. Service also hasn’t followed up with me to provide what the did to check on the issue…I feel like no diagnostic was done. My finances are about to be ruined no matter what I do…the right thing to do would have been to let me return the car with an honest assessment and investigation of my claims.

Run—Don’t Walk—Away from This…
Run—Don’t Walk—Away from This Dealership! Extremely Unprofessional ExperienceI honestly can't believe I have to write a review like this. Just typing it feels surreal.I came in on 05/10/2025 for an evaluation on a possible trade-in and to purchase a used vehicle. What I experienced was completely unacceptable and unprofessional from beginning to end. After a four-hour visit with little to no transparency, I left without ever being told what loan amount I was approved for—only the APR. Multiple hard inquiries were made on my credit without proper explanation. I also gave them access to evaluate my trade-in vehicle and never received that information. Eventually, I was moved out of the sales area to the lounge and told the space was needed for “other customers,” and then left waiting without any meaningful updates.I emailed the dealership afterward and received a call from a female manager who apologized several times and assured me she’d follow up later that day with vehicle options that fit my budget. I never heard back. Then, on 05/12/2025, I received a call from the same salesperson I worked with on 05/10, Cortez. While he had been polite in person, this call took a disturbing turn. When I mentioned I planned to post a review about my experience, he warned me not to mention his name—and said there would be “consequences” if I did. That kind of language is threatening and completely unacceptable. He also said the call was being recorded without my consent, which is likely a violation of Maryland’s two-party consent law.I’ve since reported the situation to management, including a detailed email and phone number/time of the call, urging them to listen to the recording if one exists. Still—no one from management or corporate has followed up.I walked into this dealership ready to buy a car. I walked out feeling like an inconvenience. And now I’ve been threatened by an employee. That’s more than bad service—it’s approaching illegal behavior. If you value respect, professionalism, and your personal safety—stay far away from this dealership. There are plenty of other places that will treat you like a human being.

Careful this dealership uses bait & switch pricing and Rip off dealer fee's should be illegal in USA but here we are. Taxes are understood and make sense, fees include $559.75 DMV (That is way too high) , then fee $20.00 electronic filing fee (Ok sure), $23.00 Lien Fee ( What lien fee I was buying cash), $799.00 Processing Fee (Really Rip Off) and $20.00 Temp Tag fee (Ok makes Sense)......Ok wait not shown any where on site cash buy now, Sergio informs me that a LoJack is already installed on all their cars and will cost additional $999 on top of already crazy rip off fees Required. Typical east cost and west cost rip off auto dealers that have not been yet investigated or laws changed by state legislative branches.

Cars are very dirty
Cars are very dirty, salespeople don't seem to have any knowledge of cars, didn't understand my questions regarding different engines and transmissions such as CVT vs 6 speed etc. forced to buy extra warranty to get loan, salesmen are evasive when you ask them details about financing, they keep you there hours then shove a 50 page contract in your face, don't review it and ask you to sign it. Promise services then avoid answering your calls for weeks. I was personally called a name for simply following up on a service that they promised and wasn't done. They seemed like they were trying to make it difficult so I would give up trying to get them to fulfill the service they promised and put in my contract. All in all I wouldn't go back.

The car came without a front tag bracket and tire jack. The salesman told me he would take of both missing things but he didn’t. I had to purchase the missing things on my own

Lied to and Cheated out of Money
I am a pediatric nurse working 60 plus hours aweek a veteran and a senior who was a victim of shady ? Illegal dealings by Eastern Automotive in Frederick, MD .They took back vehicle, still have my down-payment 2,500 and my trade in with UNSIGNED title. This was not due to a decline from finance company ,but because finance company during welcome and contract review made me aware of undisclosed to me charges on my contract. They advised if I didn't want services to tell dealership as not dependant on loan.I did and they refused to cancel or remove from contract and called me a liar threatened police and 3 large men came and took vehicle saying I had no right to car.I am going thru alot Ive had to rent a car to get to work. I am so stressed and still not understanding why this happened or how it was legal, as I had tentative approval from other finance companies as well and told them that if only they removed 4638 in services unneeded not told about. They refused to negotiate were rude and threatening and since they took vehicle Ive heard northing from dealer or the customer service office that promised help.My ?about my trade went unanswered as did my request for refund, I have hired an attorney and filed several complaints, but this is and has been one of the worse experiences of my life. I had the vehicle 9 days but have paid insurance on it for a month.

This company is a no go Zone.Let me…
This company is a no go Zone.Let me share a second butter experience. Called them after they said I should get an offer letter and bring which was the requirements to get the loan approved. I went there with an offer letter. Sat for hours and they checked my credit four different banks. Minutes later they came back and said I have a pre-approval. And I should bring $4000-$5000 to get the car. Chevy or Ford. Then I went back and read the Truth in Lending act and came back to inquire about why I need to pay for a loan. Guess what???they said I do not have a pre-approval, and secondly they need to use that money to secure a loan. Which is not true. I asked dwhy don't you pay money to secure a credit card and they trying explaining with some anger and shaking like babies. Then I asked for the pre-approval so I can call that particular bank to know why they are requesting $5000 before securing me a loan, lol the manager went to the counter, after minutes came back and told me I need to go talk to someone else. This has been his statement before as soon as I asked if they participate in the Truth in Lending act, he became angry and asked me to go talk to a lawyer, I told him.yes I will sue if they don't participate in Truth in Lending act. Guess what he woke up and told me he has nothing to say, and before going he told me I had written a review? I said yes and he said I wrote it so others can see and make their decisions off that right? So I should go talk to someone else! Lol this is a NO GO ZONE. Easterns On FORD MEADE ROAD LAUREL IS A NO GO ZONE. Very very bad customer service. Don't go there. Don't please. Next I saw the agent I spoke with and asked him who pre-approved me and he called the name of the bank and before he could say it another agent ran to him and stopped him and asked him not to mention anything. This is how bad things are here.

Mike Johnson is an unprofessional
Mike Johnson, of Eastern Automotive Group in Temple Hills Maryland, is an unprofessional, ghetto, judgmental, circus clown. He likes to show off to an audience. He lied about being from the legal department when he called me as a scare tactic. What he didn't realize was, I am an attorney, and not only that, but I had also already googled him. Something he should have done before he came for me. They tried to say that I falsified my income documentation because I make almost $200k a year. The only thing about my income that was false, is that's not all my income. He's used to a certain type of customer, and he thought that I was the usual. Now I must show him who I am and where my power lies.
