I would have selected zero stars

I would have selected zero stars, but that wasn't available. Terrible customer service. Long wait times, and they wouldn't live up to the promise of allowing me to use a local HVAC company instead of sending one located 70 miles away. I guess that's why they filed a Chapter 7 petition in November 2025, and I still have a year on the contract.

Crooks, theives, and liars.

This company declined coverage on conditions that should have been covered, then when they DID cover a dishwasher, they said it would take 45 days to pay the claim. This was not part of the agreement. Evidently the 45 days was for them to get out of Dodge because they disappeared and never paid. How can they improve? For starters prosecute their CEO.

Once a legal turned a scam company to steal money from its customers

This company did a shady business. They fled away with all customers' money. Can anyone put them in jail for years of cheating, plundering?

Bad Business Practices

Void at all cost if not you will lose your monies. The stories are the same for thousands of customers. We lost deductibles for service calls, claims not processed, and premiums paid for multiple years plans. The company didn't meet those years for the applicable plans and didn't refund the monies for the remaining months or years of those plans. There was an agreement made with Elite Home Warranty and Better Business Bureau to refund monies for my 3yr plan and Elite Home Warranty didn't comply.

The worst home warranty service I have…

The worst home warranty service I have ever experienced. Do not answer calls. On hold for half hour and longer. Took them 3 months to issue check they promised. Haven’t got any response for the email sent three weeks ago. I want to cancel the plan but there is no one to talk to. About to take legal action.

No response to requests, they've gone AWOL

I have not received any response to my emails and there has been no answer on the phone, I have not been able to arrange my contractually-agreed service. I checked online and at the Better Business Bureau and it shows that they have been having major service complaints for the last 6 months. Most of the BBB complaints are due to no company response to emails and calls resulting in inability to obtain services, payments, contractor payments, and contract refunds in spite of the complainants pursuing resolution for periods of months. Therefore after 10 days with no response, I asked that they cancel my service plan and send me a prorated refund for the remaining term as provided for in the contract: "B. The Agreement Holder has the right to cancel the Agreement at any time without incurring a cancellation fee. In the event of cancellation, the Agreement will be prorated, and any unused portion will be refunded." I received no response so far. I will be following up with the state's attorney.

I cancelled my warranty around July…

I cancelled my warranty around July 10th 2025, was told would receive a refund of $1000.00 within 45 days, haven’t received at the time of this email. Can someone please respond, I’ve sent several emails with no response, if your trying to contact me my cell phone will say most likely scam, please leave a voicemail. If no response by 10/31/2025, I will be contacting my attorney and Better Business Bureau, this needs to be removed from internet if information is false?Elite Home Warranty is experiencing a temporary interruption in its customer communication platforms, and customers needing the quickest response are advised to email. The company is currently available in all states except California and Wisconsin. • Communication issues: There is a temporary interruption with customer communication platforms.• How to contact: For the fastest response, customers should email with their service agreement number, home address, and phone number.• Availability: The company is available in all states except California and Wisconsin.• Contract details:o There is a 30-day waiting period after purchase, which may be waived with proof of an existing policy.o Contracts are for 12 months.• Coverage and claims:o There are no limits on the number of claims, but there are payout caps per item and per category.o You can use your own licensed technician, but the company's 90-day workmanship guarantee will not apply.

What can be done about this business

What can be done about this business. I made a claim in August about my Generator. They accepted my $150 co-pay (Generator was an add on after purchased so the co-pay was double? 1st I had heard of that) Then, never heard anything again concerning getting a repairman to the house. I call and finally get in contact with a representative. They stated I could contact a repair person myself then let them know what was wrong with the unit so they could determine if it was covered or not. I spoke to a technician, he asked me for the warranty company info. as he has been burnt before by these companies. After 3 weeks the repairman stated unless I agreed to pay his service call price he would not be able to help me because he cannot get in contact with anyone at Elite Home Warranty. I have yet to be able to contact via phone nor email. It is obvious they are out of business. As per my original question, has anyone else attempted to do anything legally against this company or do you know if there is a 3rd party company involved. Thank You!

Mishandled and Casted Away

When I contacted Elite for a home warranty, I should have known it was too good to be true. I was told that I could choose my own service provider, but later found out it was only if they could not find someone first. I was also told that I got the first month free, but I had to pay an upfront fee and could not use the service for 30 days. Then, when I did file a claim, the first time it was for my AC unit. I was told that because of the amount of time that I had been a customer, I was not covered, but to show good faith, they would at least pay the $200 for the freon that was needed. I never received that reimbursement, and we had to pay $1700 out of pocket for the repair. The second time we placed a claim, it was for a leak. The plumber says that because there was too much pressure coming into the house, a piece had popped off the water heater, and because the problem originated from outside, fixing the inside leak was not covered. The pressure coming into the house originated from outside, so we were told it also was not covered. But, as a sign of good faith, they would cover replacing the piece inside, which would be $300, but we were responsible for the remaining $800. There was no way around it, so we agreed. We were told that a check would be sent to us within 45 business days. After the 45 days had passed, we still had not received a check and were told that it was coming. After waiting another 2 weeks, I requested to cancel the policy and was told that if I canceled, then I would not receive a check that I was supposed to have already received. Mind you, I had been with this company for a year and a half. It was very disheartening to me that when I expressed my dissatisfaction that there was no attempt to retain the relationship. I was very unhappy with the customer service. I was attempting to be understanding about the situations and probably would have stayed with the company if they had shown a little more empathy and care for me as a customer.

If I could give them a 0 I would

If I could give them a 0 I would. This company is a TOTAL SCAM. They don’t use qualified companies to come out and do the work. We put in a claim and never received a call. After 4 days I called them back and was told “they’re still working on getting someone out” After a week NOTHING. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and was given the run around. After 3 weeks a supervisor finally called back. I told her we are not happy with the service they provide and want a full refund of what we paid upfront. She said they would send a refund check of $500. We would receive in 45 days. That has come and gone … NOTHING. When you call their 800# there is a recording saying “they’re having technical issues “ DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. Do not give them any money. They don't answer phone and you will wait on hold for an hour only to have the call automatically dropped. They should be in jail for fraud.

1 Month no washer and still no claim payment

I come from a customer service background and I only reserve bad reviews to keep others informed. Here's what you can expect by signing up for an Elite Home Warranty plan. I was without a washing machine for an entire month and I still have not received payment for the claim payout and am having to sit on hold 40+ minutes to find out why I haven't been paid. The phone center dropped the call I called back and am being told the company is having issues and to email. You can expect 30–60-minute wait times to get through to someone. You can expect to be shuttled around to multiple "Concierges." When you request to be escalated to a supervisor they minimize the request and do everything in their power not to. Then they say they've notified their supervisor and they will get back to you. They do not get back to you not once in the 6-12 calls I had with their employees. There are several staff that are short, not considerate and do not acknowledge urgency. You can expect no email updates on the progress. You can expect having to repeatedly call them. My last two claims I have had to call in a total of 6-12 times. For 2 claims. You can expect to have to call them and the vendors they connect you with repeatedly. The last claim I submitted they Confirmed I was scheduled with a washing machine repair shop and that they'd call me. They did not. I had to call Elite Home Warranty again get the number of the vendor and call them directly. Then the vendor fumbled the scheduling twice. So I had to call back Elite Home warranty and request a new vendor. To sum this up. I filed a BBB complaint and my payout finally was confirmed for the claim, but wait there's more. I was without a Washing machine for a Month. To top that off. I was told I had to wait 45 days to receive the payout. That puts the issue at 2.5 months since reported to payout and technically I still haven't even been paid so as of now it's 2.5 months since the issue started and to final resolution.Spend your money as a consumer elsewhere. This is one of the worst customer experiences with an organization I've ever experienced in my personal life and my career. I've re-opened my BBB complaint.

No resolution to claim after numerous calls and a commitment to reimburse me

Have been trying to get a resolution on a claim since May. I cannot get through on their customer service line, have talked to management and promised money that has never come. Horrible service. DO NOT get a home warranty through this company.

Unpaid Invoices

Our company was contacted by Elite Home Warranty to do a few work orders and we have yet to be paid. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at this company. No one replies to our emails or returns the calls. They are taking advantage of free labor and refuse to pay for the work. Do not support this company, absolute scam!
