EOS exceeds bad management

EOS has exceeded the bad management practices that Gold's Gym had. The front desk employees are rude and demonstrate a total lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Broken equipment that remains broken for prolonged periods is commonplace. The gym and locker rooms are dirty. We have had no hot water in the showers for days without explanation. They do not enforce rules to protect clientele such as no selfies in the locker rooms. On a more disgusting note, there is a member who has a habit of hawking phlegm and spitting on the floor by the pool. She also hawks in the ladies locker room water fountain. Many people have complained. Today Jaxsen, a front desk employee copped an attitude when I reported this member's disgusting behavior which is a health hazard. If she had TB or COVID, the entire gym could become infected. Jaxsen rudely asserted that " there's no wording in the contract that addresses spitting. I've done it myself. So you can be mad all you want, but we're not going to address it." I think that comment says it all. Nothing changes, it only gets worse. If you need a gym membership, you might want to consider elsewhere.

Lack of customer service

I am so disappointed with the lack of accountability and customer service. I have contacted your team multiple times regarding incorrect charges, and every single time I was ignored. No response, no resolution, nothing yet you continue to withdraw money from my bank account. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Charging a customer while refusing to respond to their concerns shows a serious lack of integrity and respect.I expect a manager to review this immediately, stop the incorrect charges, and contact me to resolve this situation. If this is not handled promptly, I will escalate the issue further through my bank and appropriate consumer protection channels.I would strongly advise others to be cautious until this company improves its customer service and billing practices.

The worst of the worst

The worst of the worst. Dirty, smelly, disgusting. Always a wait for machines. But try to quit. They make it a nightmare. you haveto go in person to get your member #, then they forced me to create a new account just to cancel. Wtf. They made it so awful that I became so annoyed and defensive hoping the brain donor at the desk would just get fed up. He did. I win. So happy to be done and not be scared of catching an unnamed parasite. Gross.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Unresponsive Management

I had a very frustrating experience at this gym after signing up for personal training sessions. Despite my credit card being automatically charged for the sessions, the gym's internal system still shows my payments as unpaid. I reached out multiple times via email to both the regional manager and the personal trainer manager regarding this issue, but unfortunately, they have completely ignored my communications. This lack of response is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on their customer service.Because of this unresolved issue, I feel compelled to escalate it further. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, the state attorney general, and possibly even filing a lawsuit. I cannot recommend this gym due to their extremely poor communication and lack of accountability. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere!

They really push for a personal trainer…

They really push for a personal trainer when I repeatedly declined. Always too packed with people filming for social media.

EOS Fitness Hwy 6 and West Rd Houston, TX

I have been a member of EōS Fitness at the HWY 6 & West Road location in Houston since the day it opened in 2025. I was genuinely excited about this gym and canceled memberships elsewhere to commit here. Unfortunately, my experience in January 2026 has been deeply frustrating and honestly humiliating.I had an encounter with an employee named Emily who was extremely rude, aggressive, and treated me in a way that felt racially biased and completely unprofessional. I was denied access to the gym because my payment had been due two days prior. I calmly explained that I had already made the payment online that same morning before arriving. Despite this, she demanded that I personally prove the payment to her or leave the building. This was embarrassing and unnecessary, especially considering the payment was less than 48 hours late and already resolved. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told the manager was “there” but unavailable because they were working out. That alone was shocking. I then had to contact a general manager from a different EōS location, who confirmed that the way I was handled was wrong and assured me my concerns would be escalated to the location manager and district manager. I never heard from either of them—not once.Instead, on February 12, 2026, I received a threatening email from EōS Risk & Asset Protection in Carlsbad, CA accusing me of behavior “averse to the interest and well-being of EōS Fitness” and issuing me a Formal Warning, with no prior investigation, no phone call, and no opportunity to be heard. After everything I went through, this felt insulting and completely out of line. This entire situation has been extremely frustrating and humbling. I waited months for this location to open, supported the brand, and followed their policies—only to be treated like a problem instead of a paying member. The lack of accountability, communication, and basic respect is unacceptable. This experience has shown me that this is the type of behavior EōS allows and protects, and that is deeply disappointing.I expected better.(The GM in charge of this location is named Leyliana Greer)

Shady sales practice. Don't explain extra charges.

Very shady sales practice. They don't explain the charges clearly during sign up and try to lure into signing up more expensive plan, especially to youngsters who don't read the contract carefully and trust the sales speech.

This gym looks great

This gym looks great, and it is, until you try to cancel. Its insane how hard they make it, they've even threatened to send me to collections after i finally got frustrated and blocked them on my card. Also don't fall for their hard push for personal training during their initial tour.

AVOID Alma school location in Mesa..

Alma school location in Mesa... AVOID.The A/C is either broken or they never turn it on🥵 This place is a sweat shop. Why would you not have decent AC where people are working out? It is so muggy in here it feels like Florida. THE SWAMP. Not "The Yard," it is literally THE SWAMP.

I signed up for fitness training under…

I signed up for fitness training under the idea that I could quit whenever I liked. 2 out of first 3 sessions go t cancelled. When I got charged for a fourth I went to gym and asked for my money back. they told me I was on the hook for 5 more payments of $88 each. I cancelled everything immediately through my bank. They altered their billing name to continue to bill me. They are the worst business I've come across in a very long time

What a rip off

What a rip off! They still charge you for canceling for another 30 days even though you just paid your membership. It’s always so busy you can never get in to any machines or swimming you want. This place is the absolute worst. They will scam you. DON’T SIGN UP!

EoS fitness has been a horrible gym…

EoS fitness has been a horrible gym experience. Specifically the membership sign up and cancellation process. EoS fitness staff are traditional liars. I signed up for a membership, and 1 week later I had to cancel. Even tho i was only active for 1 week and I cancelled my account with a 30 day notice, EoS fitness stated my membership was never cancelled and is still trying to charge my card months later even after i requested the cancellation. When i call EoS and speak with rep, they say they will continue to charge my card $25 per month until i pay the outstanding balance, even tho the card lost and stolen. It started out as $25, then $125, then $137, then $163. This gym is the biggest bull $hit gym I've ever encountered. STAY AWAY. I would never recommend them to anybody. They have high pressure sales tactics. I was told I wouldn't be charged the annual dues for 4 weeks after I signed up, and almost immediately, EoS was trying to charge my card for the annual dues. EoS fitness is the reason I will never sign up for another gym for the rest of my life. WORSTE GYM EVER

Mesa

Mesa, Arizona. I was scammed out of my money. I just spoke with Collin, who informed me the company will not follow through on what their former manager Taylor told me would be done. I had been charged after previously cancelling at a nearby location. She apologized and said that location has had many of the same complaints. She signed up my daughter and I and guaranteed she would have those previous charges removed/handled. Apparently you can’t even sign up unless unpaid charges are paid, as I was told today by Collin. So how did she sign us up if those were not being handled? Now he told me they will not be following through on what she said and I would need to pay what I was told would be handled. Not only that, they also charged me the annual fee quickly even though I was told that would be pushed out at least a few months. He provided me no further solution and provided no options for anyone else I could talk to. I 100 percent do not recommend this company. Save your money and join somewhere else. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I can remember. I’ll never sign up again and will never recommend them.

had a very disappointing experience…

had a very disappointing experience with this gym. When I signed up, I was told by a staff member that I needed the Will Power membership to access a specific location. Later, I found out that this was not accurate. When I contacted the gym to downgrade to the $10/month plan, I was told that downgrading was not an option. Instead, I was instructed to cancel my membership entirely, re-sign at another location, and pay the maintenance fee again.I was willing to keep paying the higher rate just to simplify things, but that option was still denied.I was also charged a $15 service fee and could not get a clear explanation for what it was for. I emailed the staff member who helped me sign up requesting a receipt and clarification and did not receive a response. I also called the gym and never received a callback. In addition, I later learned there are fees associated with changing your payment method, which was unexpected. I strongly recommend reading the contract carefully.Overall, customer service was very poor. Simple requests were not handled clearly or efficiently, and follow-up was lacking. Because of this experience, I decided to cancel and move on.

⭐️ 1-Star (Would Give Zero If Possible)

⭐️ 1-Star (Would Give Zero If Possible)EŌS Fitness – Lake Elsinore, CAMy wife and I were early sign-ups before this location even opened. We were told repeatedly—by multiple employees—that by joining before the grand opening, our membership price would be locked in for life. “Grandfathered,” they called it. That promise is literally the ONLY reason we joined early and waited months for the gym to finally open. When the gym first opened, we were excited. New equipment, clean facility—nice. But that didn’t last long. Here’s the reality:Parking & CrowdsFinding a parking space is a daily battle. Once you finally get inside, you still end up waiting around for machines. The place is constantly overcrowded.Perks That Don’t WorkWe specifically paid extra for amenities like the massage chairs and hydro beds:Massage chairs? Uncomfortable and almost always a long wait.Sauna? Broken more than half the time I’ve been there. Literally unusable for MONTHS.The Final Straw: A 22% Price IncreaseOut of nowhere, I get a notice in December saying my monthly fee is going up 22%. So much for being “grandfathered.”I went in to ask about it, and the front desk employee straight-up laughed in my face. He even said that the general manager had been telling people they’d be grandfathered in—but “it’s not true.” He also joked that “ if the gym had opened just 13 days later, then we would’ve been grandfathered.” Apparently he thought this was hilarious. I did not.Unbelievably Disrespectful ManagementI asked to speak to the manager. The employee walked me to his office—glass door, full view of me standing there. He looked right at me but continued chatting with an employee for 15 minutes, then another 5 minutes with someone else, leaving me standing there like an idiot. Finally, I knocked. When he came out, the first thing I said was how long I’d been waiting. He didn’t care. This manager—Gabriel—never introduced himself, never apologized, and offered zero accountability. When I explained how staff laughed at me and how we were promised grandfathered pricing, his response was basically:“I wasn’t here then so I can’t authorize anything.”No apology. No empathy. Nothing. When I said I was considering canceling because of the way we were treated, he literally said:“OK, here’s how you cancel your membership.”That’s the level of “customer service” at this gym.Final VerdictThis is, without exaggeration, the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Between the broken amenities, the overcrowding, the parking nightmare, the broken promises, the sudden 22% increase, the employees laughing at members, and a manager who clearly does not care at all—this gym is a complete disgrace. We are absolutely canceling both of our memberships.Save yourself the frustration and join ANY other gym.

Too crowded

Gym is great, too great. It has been overly busy the majority of the times I've gone. Unable to do a timely work. Would have given 5 stars but can't even cancel without a drawn out process.

The personal training contract was next to impossible. …

The personal training contract was nearly impossible to terminate, and EoS then used their access to my debit card (without any notice whatsoever) to auto collect $450, $50 each debit in 2 minutes. The gym itself was crowded each time I visited, making most machines difficult get time on. I have little time to spare to visit a gym, and this made this gym impractical. The amenities are nice and generally well kept, and the Frontline staff were friendly and helpful.

$150.00 twice a month for coaching, not counting the monthly fee for the plan

I originally signed up for EOS through my work and received a very good discount, I retired in October and I went into EOS to let them know that I no longer qualify for the membership that I have due to the fact that I no longer work for the company I was getting a membership through. They set me up with a girl named Jaqulyn (not sure how to spell her name) She offered me a plan the same plan that I was on but without the discount and I was told that is was only $20.00 more. She offered me a coach (personal trainer) for 4 months and "only $150.00". I told her "no. I'm on a fixed income and I just want the basic plan."she ignored me and I could tell she was zoning out but then she would come back and tell me more about the program as if I said nothing.I told her no again and we went back and forth like that for a while. Finally she said ok and had me sign paperwork. She then said "ok, that's $150.00." I asked for what. She said that it was the amount I owe for coaching. I asked her if that $150.00 covered November and she said yes.I then felt like I minus well consider it's only $150.00. I paid. This was on Oct 30th.I paid with my Credit card. My mistake. On November 13th I noticed that EOS took another $150.00 which put me over my spending limit and my credit score went down by 20 points. I was mad and went into ask them what was going on, that's when Channing explained to me that it's $150.00 twice a month, so $300.00 just for coaching that doesn't count the monthly charge for the plan. He also told me that I could get 1 free personal training, which the girl didn't tell me. He then offered to get me as much credit back as he could.I met him on another day for the 1 free training but afterwards we went back to his desk and that's when he went into the same high sales pitch that the girl gave me. Making me feel like I have to sign up for coaching, but he offered me a cheaper option $19.00 for first 2 weeks as a Black Friday special and then $80.00 after that for 4 months. That's not counting the $96.50 that they charged me for the monthly plan. I will be giving me my 30-day noticed (which none of the employee's told me about) I read that information in the FAQ on EOS's website. I'll then go back to Vasa because I never had issues with them. I've seen more negative reviews about EOS fitness than any other GYM's out there.
