I wish I could give zero stars
I wish I could give zero stars. I want to share my personal experience renting through Evernest so that others can make an informed decision.During my tenancy, I experienced several challenges with maintenance and billing. Plumbing repairs that were performed did not appear to resolve the issues, and afterward I was billed for work orders related to those problems. From a tenant’s perspective, it was difficult to understand why I was being charged for issues that seemed connected to previous maintenance. There were also instances where maintenance visits were scheduled without a time being coordinated with me first. When I was unable to be present, I was later notified of missed appointment charges. This process felt confusing and frustrating since I had not confirmed the appointment times beforehand. In addition, fees were added to my account that I did not fully understand, and I was informed that rent payments could not be processed until those charges were addressed. This made resolving the situation more stressful.Overall, my experience was that communication and coordination around maintenance and billing could be improved. I would encourage anyone considering renting through Evernest to carefully review the lease terms, maintenance policies, and fee structure so they understand how these situations may be handled.

Shady, Corrupt, Unprofessional.
This is the most shady and corrupt property management company I have ever seen. They never respond in a timely manner to tenant feedback and questions, they will cheat you out of your security deposit despite having proof against their "supposed claims". They will leave you hanging for weeks and not speak to you. If you overpay for a month don't expect to see that money back for an entire 1-2 months. I could go on, but i digress. Stay far away from this property management company.

Our move-in with Evernest Property…
Our move-in with Evernest Property Management has been an absolute nightmare. What upsets me most is knowing that so much time, stress, and money could have been avoided if I had paid closer attention to the real reviews—not the conveniently timed, overly positive ones that seem to appear right after a negative review to keep ratings afloat. From the start, we dealt with miscommunication, unmet promises, and unnecessary delays. Issues that should have been handled before move-in were ignored, leaving us to spend our own time and money fixing problems that were promised to be resolved prior to signing the lease. Here’s my advice to anyone considering renting through this company—especially in states where verbal agreements can be binding in court:Get EVERYTHING in writing. That means emails. If you have a phone conversation, immediately request that everything discussed be sent through email for documentation.Take photos. Take videos. Keep records of everything. It’s very telling that many of our issues were suddenly addressed, or at least attempted—only after I mentioned involving the courts. I was eventually reimbursed for money I personally put into the home due to promises that were not fulfilled before lease signing. Please do your due diligence. Read the reviews carefully. Research thoroughly. This company does not deserve a 5-star rating, and I genuinely hope this review helps someone avoid the same experience we had.

Terrible Property Management — Avoid at All Costs
This property management company consistently failed to meet basic professional standards. The lack of organization and accountability created avoidable problems and reflected a clear disregard for proper property management practices. I would not recommend their services. Please stay away from them.

⭐️ 1 star. Zero if I could.I am renting a home in Winston-Salem, NC through Evernest and this has been a terrible experience from the start. It is nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone. Calls and messages go unanswered, and when I do manage to speak with someone, they are confused and can never give a clear answer or timeline for when anything will be fixed. We discovered mice in the home, and that situation has still not been resolved. I was initially told that if I “kept the house nice,” I wouldn’t have this problem, which was extremely frustrating considering I had not even lived in the home yet. Since then, we keep being told that the property manager will reach out to us, but the property manager has not spoken to us even once.To make matters worse, we were asked why we chose the home if we “knew there were issues” that were supposedly disclosed by the leasing coordinator. The leasing coordinator disclosed none of these issues to us prior to signing the lease. On top of that, plumbing issues were not fixed before we moved in because they “didn’t realize we were coming,” even though our lease clearly stated our move-in date. The garage does not lock, which is a serious safety concern.Every interaction feels disorganized and dismissive, and nothing ever gets resolved. This has been an incredibly stressful experience, and I would not recommend Evernest to anyone looking for a responsive or professional property management company.

Terrible - avoid at all costs
They are absolutely terrible.I'm writing as a property owner. First, they failed to screen properly and rented to a bad tenant to trashed the place. I had to pay thousands of dollars above the security deposit to repair everything.Second, they are terrible at communicating. My point of contact would go out of communication for days or weeks and the come back to me with a bunch of stuff all at once that I would have to spend a lot of time trying to decode and understand. All the while, they were rude and curt with me, as if I were at fault for something.Third, I found out that the new tenant was not happy with Evernest and was threatening to leave. It's not the house - it's a beautiful 1-family property and I priced the rent to be fair.Based on all of these and other similar factors, I chose to go with another property manager. Right around then, Evernest completely closed their operations in my area.

We had an extremely disappointing…
We had an extremely disappointing experience with Maya Madden in her role as Business Development Manager at Evernest. During the onboarding process, multiple commitments and representations were made regarding services, responsiveness, and overall management capabilities in order to secure our property under their management. Unfortunately, once we moved forward, those promises were not fulfilled. There was a clear gap between what was communicated upfront and what was actually delivered. Expectations were set that ultimately went unmet, leading to frustration and a loss of confidence in the transition process. Transparency and follow-through were lacking, which made the experience challenging and unproductive.Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage other property owners to thoroughly document all representations made and ensure expectations are clearly defined in writing before proceeding.

If I could give Evernest zero stars I would
If I could give Evernest zero stars, I would. They have been incredibly unprofessional. Their communication is terrible. The turnover at the company is so fast that my resident coordinator has changed multiple times in several months. They never let us know that someone new is handling our account, but when I call they say "oh that coordinator doesn't work here anymore." You always have to talk with someone at the call center, they rarely connect you with someone who can help, and NEVER let you speak to management. We had a 12-month lease on a rental property from August 2024-August 2025. We were erroneously charge bills in March that were not ours. I contacted Evernest the same day to let them know that bills had been charged to our account that were not ours. They had me submit proof of payment for every utility bill I had paid since our lease had begun, even though it was clear that the bills that had been added incorrectly to our account were dated prior to the beginning of our lease date. It is the end of November, and they still have not resolved this issue. Our lease ended in August. Because there were 'outstanding' bills on our account, they overcharged our last month of rent and still have not refunded us. Then they sent us an itemized bill of charges for maintenance on the home after our move-out which included $250 for lawn maintenance and another $300 for the carpets to be cleaned and another $260 for the house to be cleaned. We took pictures of the mowed lawn and cleaned house and provided a receipt from a cleaning company. We very obviously left the house in better condition than when we moved in. They argued that because we didn't have a receipt for having the carpets cleaned that they would need to charge us for the carpets to be cleaned. This was not a part of our lease agreement. We mowed the lawn the entire time we lived there including the weekend we moved out. I have emailed and called them countless times and they will not address or resolve the issues. They are trying to keep our money which is not theirs and charge us even more. Please avoid Evernest. We bitterly regret renting with them and are so distressed that we still haven't gotten any help from them over 4 months since our lease ended. We want the money that is owed to us, and they will not give us our refund.

⭐ PUBLIC REVIEW / TENANT WARNING ABOUT…
⭐ PUBLIC REVIEW / TENANT WARNING ABOUT EVERNEST ⭐If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like dealing with a property management company that thrives on last-minute chaos and empty threats, let me introduce you to Evernest. We offered reasonable solutions — even told them we could leave the keys in a lockbox, or at a nearby office, or anywhere that made sense. But apparently, “common sense” isn’t included in their business model.Instead, Evernest’s strategy seems to be:🔹 Wait until the very last minute🔹 Send panic emails🔹 Threaten tenants with “additional rent” if we don’t jump when they say jump🔹 Ignore the fact that they had an entire lease term to plan thisAnd now somehow we’re the problem?Let’s be clear:We moved into the property AS-IS, meaning dirty carpets, dirty walls, dirty floors, and a place that clearly hadn’t seen a professional cleaning in who knows how long. But now suddenly they expect a hotel-level move-out?Make it make sense. We will be out of the country, and Evernest is still sending last-minute “urgent” messages like their lack of preparation is our emergency. It’s not.We already made our decision:No last-minute demands. No pressured compliance. No fake rent charges.I’ve rented from multiple companies over the years, and I’ve never seen anything as disorganized and tone-deaf as this.If future tenants want a warning:Here it is.Choose another company.Your peace of mind will thank you.Linx G

Extremely Disappointed — Felt Like No One Was Actually Managing My Property - Lost $8,000
I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Evernest has been so frustrating that I feel a responsibility to share it.I hired Evernest expecting professional, proactive property management. Instead, what I got was the opposite. Over the past year, it often felt like no one was actually managing my property at all. When my tenant moved out, I discovered that the property had been allowed to deteriorate so badly that it required nearly $8,000 in repairs just to make it rentable again. Many of these issues should have been identified and addressed long before move-out — that's the whole reason you hire a management company.Communication was another constant struggle. I received confusing, conflicting, and incomplete updates from different departments, often without anyone taking ownership. Something as basic as confirming whether the new tenant had moved in became a multi-email mystery. Every time I asked for clarity, I got more noise instead of answers.Maintenance coordination was equally disappointing. Decisions felt reactive instead of proactive, and I repeatedly felt like I was the one trying to manage the process from abroad, not Evernest. At the end of the day, the experience simply did not live up to the standard they advertise. What I needed was real oversight and professional management — what I got was stress, unnecessary expenses, and the constant feeling that I had to chase basic information.I’m now transitioning my property to another management company. I wish I had made that decision sooner.

I hired evernest to manage my property …
I hired evernest to manage my property SCAMMERS from beginning to end. I was switched between 6 different workers throughout my year contract each time I talked to a new person they never knew what was going on. I could never talk to anyone on the phone, they took days sometimes weeks before I would get an email response when I had questions. Saadai Walker swindled me out of $3000.00 dollars for a job that should have been $500.00 at the most. They sent me an owner statement with charges for landscaping when I have an hoa that handles that. They had the nerve to post my home for rent with old pictures and to make matters worse my home was not ready to be rented out when they advertised it. There was still safety hazards that was not even brought up by evernest and they supposedly did a walk through before posting on Zillow.

Not paying
We did multiple field works for them and they are not paying. Does not deserve 1 star even. From March 2025 till now (October 2025) all payments are due
KONNECTIERZ SOLUTIONS
They withheld crucial information and ultimately funds
Attempted to use them to list and market our Birmingham investment property. After signing and listing, they attempted to get us to switch reprogrammable expensive door locks and sets, incur costs and then informed us that they had no live agents to handle prospective tenant walk throughs and would simply allow interested parties to walk through themselves, ie not having anyone supervise the visits in our property and discuss the merits and why the unit was perhaps a fit relative to other nearby alternatives. We decided to offboard after being told "perhaps we forgot to tell you that part upfront" and after being assured that offboarding and return of reserve monies would take no more than 30 days, I had to contact them several times up to 6+ weeks to initiate that process. They then proceeded to deduct/keep 8% of the reserve monies for expenses and administrative costs.

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. This company is absolutely horrible. I think they have two employees and the man Criz is awfully busy, always in meetings or out to lunch. Seems to be impossible to get in touch with. Trying to charge me over $2200 for completely bogus charges. By law these charges fall under landlord responsibility. I will most likely be taking this to court given that I can never get in touch with Criz! If you can avoid this company, do it at all cost!

Evernest Holdings INCOMPETENCE will INCONVENIENCE you and cost YOU MONEY!!!!!
Evernest Holdings does not care about its residents, is negligent, and incompetent! Their INCOMPETENCE will COST YOU MONEY!!!! I have been a tenant since 4/2024. I had very few issues my 1st year; however, it seems that as soon as I resigned my lease, I got a new resident manager, Jennina Juban, and I started having serious issues. I got a notification that my Georgia Power account had been closed. I called Georgia Power to find out that Evernest Holding had closed my account and taken the electricity bill out of my name. I call and email Jennina Juban, and she tells me in a lackadaisical tone to call Georgia Power and get it switched back into my name. I couldn't understand why Jennina Juban, the customer service rep, would think I, the resident, should inconvenience myself at work to correct their/ EVERNEST HOLDINGS error? Since I knew Jennina Juban did not seem to care enough to call and correct Evernest's error, nor cared enough to investigate and explain why this happened, I called because I DO CARE, and I wanted the situation handled correctly and promptly. This process was long, tedious, and stressful because I was on a flat bill rate that could possibly not be recovered, my rate could rise, and Georgia Power could also charge me a reconnection fee. After it took me forever to have Georgia Power switch my electricity bill back into my name, Evernest Holding closed my account and switched it back into their name 2 MORE TIMES!!! I had to keep calling and emailing Jennina Juban, and she kept telling ME TO CALL Georgia Power to correct EVERNEST HOLDINGS ERROR by switching the bill back into my name. By the third time Evernest closed my Georgia Power account, Jennina Juban had the gall to ask me if I was sure that it was Evernest Holding. I said I was more than sure it was Evernest Holding because the Georgia Power Rep told me both times I called why and who kept closing my account. I told Jennina Juban my real concern was that this time, I am not calling Georgia Power again. Evernest can keep the electricity bill in their name; however, I can tell by the lackadaisical response that the people who run Evernest don't know or care that the bill is in their name and won't pay it for the property that I am renting from them. Consequently, this means that the electricity will be cut off at the property I am renting and leaving me and my minor child without heat or air conditioning. I felt frustrated and stuck. I wanted to break my lease right then. Jennina Juban said she would call Georgia Power to confirm that it was Evernest that was closing my Georgia Power account and find out why. It took 3 Times!!!! Then, when the situation was finally resolved, I wound up having to call Georgia Power for a third time, even after Jennina Juban called Georgia Power to get the account switched back into my name. Most disappointingly, Evernest billed me for the time they CLOSED MY ACCOUNT and took the bill out of my name. This wasn't fair nor good customer service, especially since Evernest knows I was on a flat bill rate. Thus, I was charged twice due to Evernest's lackadaisical attitude, negligence, and incompetence. I disputed this charge with Nabil Kebbab, Resident Services Coordinator. Nabil Kebbab asked me for proof of Georgia Power payments over and over. I provided proof of on-time, current payment of my unprorated flat bill rate over and over to prove I was charged 2 times- once by Georgia Power and the second time by Evernest Holdings. Nabil Kebbab, Resident Services Coordinator, final response was: I must provide a bill statement for the time frame that Evernest Holding closed my Georgia Power account and took the bill out of my name. How is that even possible? Georgia Power is not going to send 2 bills to 2 different people for the same property and the same usage time period. More INCOMPETENCE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Evernest Holdings INCOMPETENCE will INCONVENIENCE you and cost YOU MONEY!!!!!

As an owner, they are terrible!
As an owner, Evernest bought the local property management company that we used previously. For a few years we continued with them. However, we are constantly having to check their accounting to make sure we received the right payments from our properties. Their maintenance crew rarely fixed the item in a timely manner and have had annual issues with the HVAC on a brand new unit which should have been under warranty only to find out they were replacing the wrong parts all along after we brought in our HVAC person. Mind you the last concern was only a week after their “check-up”. We’ve had multiple property manager representatives in the couple of years we used them. Now after we’ve decided to change management companies, they are refusing to give us the monthly rent payments and the keys and deposits until 60 days after we asked to end the contract (30 days beyond what is in the contract). They say their accounting team needs to process it. After asking a couple of the tenants, their experience was not much better. If you can help it, stay away from this company!

beware tenants and owners…
My experience with Evernest Property Management has been incredibly frustrating from start to finish. Communication is virtually non-existent — emails and maintenance requests go unanswered for days, sometimes weeks. When they do respond, it’s often dismissive or unhelpful.Maintenance is another major issue. Repairs are either delayed, poorly done, or completely ignored. It often felt like I had to beg for basic services to be completed — things any responsible property manager should address promptly. What’s even more frustrating is the lack of accountability. Whenever issues were brought up, there was always an excuse, or worse, no response at all. It’s clear that tenant comfort and satisfaction are not a priority.I would strongly recommend thinking twice before renting from or working with Evernest The lack of professionalism and care made what should have been a simple rental experience unnecessarily stressful this place needs to be sued 100 times over it’s just beyond me why the CEO or the VP does not run their company better and for all these employees that do not answer their emails or calls or return any messages at all should be fired especially Luis. He’s bad with communicating. Couldn’t read The emails. Didn’t respond to nothing didn’t return calls

My experience at 50 Jones under…
My experience at 50 Jones under Shorenstein Properties has been very poor. I’ve seen fabricated ledgers, unexplained utility increases, and a lack of transparency about billing. When I tried to get clarity, management avoided accountability instead of providing support. Tenants deserve honesty and fair treatment, but I did not experience that here.
