I was there on a business trip
Avoid if traveling for business – Financial LiabilityI am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism here. The staff failed to issue an EU-compliant invoice during my stay for CES, and after waiting 30 minutes, I had to leave for the airport without a resolution. This error has caused documented economic damage to my company, yet the hotel refuses to respond to any of my emails to correct the mistake. Their "service" is non-existent once they have your money. Business travelers: beware.

Stayed for a week and had a great time…
Stayed for a week and had a great time here. We had no major issues staying here. Maybe the beds were a bit on the smaller seize for double beds, but they were decent. The room was facing the courtyard but then again we went relatively cheap as it was our first time in vegas. Food court is expensive. But we kinda expected that. Otherwise we had a great time visiting the hotel.

awful experience
first off the hotel smells and looks musty, got into the room and an aroma of piss hits you at the door frame. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Then to top it off after showers im assuming the towels or water left my whole family in rashes, inching for hours upon hours. I am disgusted and itchy.

This hotel is poor
This hotel is poor. The bedrooms are dated and are depressing. There is a major reefurbishment going on and the noise in our room on 11th floor was unbearable at times. Drilling at 6.45am and hammering that continued through the day. We were offered a room change the day before we were due to come home, even though we complained 3 times. The smell of weed in corridors and out by the pool is excessive. People are openly smoking it outside the doors. The hotel staff are walking on egg shells for their jobs and at times very rude. They fail to tell the truth about conversations that were held. We fond Jennifer, one of the supervisors aand Oniver at the pool to be very helpful, but this service was inconsistent. No tea or coffee facilities or fridges in rooms. Everything in hotel so expensive. The pool area makes a charge to sit in adult area, this varys from day to day and seems to be made by management on an ad-hoc basis ranging from $35 to $130 for same beds. Resort fee is $45 dollars per day plus $6 tax. This is a joke. You get nothing for it that you need.On the whole this property has poor customer service, staff who are afraid and is a nasty experience.

So lets get it straight the days of…
So lets get it straight the days of customer service are well and truly in the past. It's now how much can we rip customers off for and then ask them for a tip for the pleasure. Have just returned from a stay with the Excalibur with my family but will never return. The hotel was experiencing some maintenance issues which resulted in a strong sewage smell as soon as you exited the hotel. This included the pool area and when it is 113 degrees you can imagine the stench. Tried to complain to reception how the could charge a resort fee for use of amenities when the pool was unusable. She literally shrugged her shoulder and said she would send me a survey to fill in !. The pool area is not useable until these issues have been fixed so please check before you book! The hotel is old and has been left behind the times. The staff are only interested in what tips they can get, bell boy failed to acknowledge me when gave him a tip when I had loaded my own bags. When I questioned it his reply was " am I supposed to say thank you for a $10 tip?".

Hotel was average at best and…
Hotel was average at best and everything was so expensive. There were trailing cables in my room and no coffee making facilities AND I have been back 5 weeks and still haven't received my security deposit back.

Worst service> the bell hops was…
Worst service> the bell hops was yelling at my wife who was try to check our bags. Hotel staff was also rude. My wife was in tears. This is NOT handicap friendly. No refrigerator in room for diabetic medications. no coffee in room. Handicap parking was a long painful walk. I got better service from a Motel 6. Will not recommend this hotel anyone.

Mixed experience
Pros: Room was very affordable; plenty of places to eat; convenient access to Luxor, Tropicana and MGM Grand via walkways; staff is friendly and helpful; room was generally clean, save for a "used" LV magazine that I handled with tissue and threw in the trash.Cons: In-room wifi was unstable and unreliable during mornings and evenings (I had two laptops); room had a nice view, but the window was dirty on the outside; TV made a loud, annoying beeping sound whenever you operated the guide, and was completely unusable on the free channel--I kept it off the remainder of my stay; no refrigerator; the hotel has several small kiosks and a 24/7 store with a variety of snacks and souveniers, but nothing has prices. You've got to guess what the prices are, and hope that the cashier doesn't make an accidental--or intentional mistake at checkout. Will I be coming back? I had to cut my one-week stay early due to unreliable wifi, so probably not.

Fairly run down
Fairly run down, smells like smoke, and not the cleanest. We stayed here during vacation. We should have got a hotel down the street. I won't be coming back here.

Terrible stay. Miserable thanks to hotel staff.
Absurd COVID restrictions made our vacation a total disaster. Constantly harassed to put on an unnecessary face diaper. Surly and apathetic staff refused to listen when told there were medical accommodations. Cut our trip short and left Vegas early. Even their performers in the “Tournament of Kings” show wore masks! They allow SMOKING IN THE CASINO! Women were walking around in states of almost complete undress: bikinis under see through wraps. Not a word from the clowns running this hotel. I walk past without an unnecessary mask and they chase me like a hound after a rabbit. Broken amenities in the room. Half the lamps didn’t work. No refrigerator available. Ice machine caterwauls like a banshee with hemorrhoids. Maybe the GED-on-the-third-try-kids running this place should spend more time teaching maintenance how to change light bulbs and less time worrying about making medical decisions for their customers. All of Vegas was like this. Spent most of our time in our room and left a day early. Most of the money in Vegas is in the strip. If the fools running the casinos and hotels cared enough to push back against these absurd restrictions, the government would back off. That they do not do so tells me— and anyone with brains— that they don’t CARE enough to do so. None of their unnecessary restrictions were posted on any hotel or Vegas.com website, so we arrived and were caught flat footed by the absurdities. We should have left the day we arrived, but we put up with it until my wife had an anxiety attack trying to breathe through her unnecessary mask so we could enter the HIGHLY OVERPRICED buffet. ($26 per person for crappy food and you want to order me to wear a rag on my face BETWEEN BITES!? EFF OFF!)I won’t be back to Vegas or to any other MGM property. I paid $2,000 and had the worst trip of my life. The whole town stinks. The strip is dirty and smelly. The casinos are run by clowns who allow clouds of marijuana smoke at every door but harass paying customers for not wearing unneeded medical appliances. Don’t go to Vegas and if you do, don’t stay in this armpit of a hotel.

Amended review
My previous 3-star review should have been for vegas.com, not Excalibur, and I do apologize for that error. Because I had previously stayed at the Excallibur and was very satisfied with all the property had to offer was the reason I chose to stay there.

WORST HOTEL
I have to write this review for other people looking to stay in Las Vegas. 1- On they page it states non smoking facility but not when you book through a airline it doesn’t tell you that.(I use JetBlue.) Misleading. So of course when you arrive and ask for a smoking room you told the hotel is a non smoking facility.2- I ran out of toilet paper it took housekeeping 45 minutes to bring me a roll of toilet paper up to my room. 3- The phone in the room did not work, so of course I had to go downstairs to the front desk if I needed anything. 4- No refrigerator in room so don’t buy anything that need to be put in the refrigerator. No courtesy coffee or tea tray in room. I even been to non name brand hotels/motels in at least they had that in the room for you. Their was two things I did like 1- was the security system they have in place as far getting on the elevator to get to your room. If I used my key card and you are on a different floor it would not work for you. 2- They pool was beautiful. Overall I wouldn’t suggest anybody staying there. It’s all the way in the back and you will be doing a lot of walking. I travel a lot in this been the worst hotel that I stay in. I will be forgetting they name in they don’t ever have to worry about me staying there again
