My partner was ill and couldn’t attend her booking. Despite all the other 11 of the group being able to attend, they insisted on taking her deposit. The woman on the live chat (there’s no other way to contact them) was very rude and showed no empathy. She just kept saying “it’s in our T&Cs.”

Terrible customer service and lack of customer centricity from business

Totally rigid deposit refund policy with a lack of empathy or care for unforeseen circumstances. We had a booking for 12 people but I woke up unwell with flu the day of the booking and the company refused any type of refund of my individual deposit with a "Computer says no" mentality and constant reiteration of the 48 hr notice period in the T&Cs, despite the fact I wasn't ill 48 hrs earlier and the rest of the party were still attending. This ultimately meant I had to sacrifice my deposit because it was too awkward to ask the rest of the party to pay me a small amount each to cover it. As someone who works in customer experience it's also a massive red flag when companies have no easy way to contact a customer service representative via phone on the day of their booking. I will be avoiding all Flight Club venues in the future as a result.

BULLYING MANAGER

If I could give this 0 stars I would!!!!! Where do I start?!!… I was out for a corporate afternoon for end of quarter celebrations with my work last Friday 25th April, a day we were all so excited for and had been planned for months. Now what should have been a lovely afternoon turned HORRIFIC, when I was extremely rudely and inappropriately accused of having ‘3 spliffs’ on me by the manager who was running our party on the bottom floor of the venue. Now initially when I was asked about this I started laughing as I thought someone was playing a prank on me? Oh how wrong was I… the manager was so rude and unprofessional and said ‘I have been told someone has apparently heard you say you have 3 spliffs on your so you need to leave immediately’. I said first of all, if I was smoking spliffs (which is not a word I would ever use in my entire life, NOR do I or would I ever ever ever smoke weed ESPECIALLY at a work event even if I wanted to) would you 1. Be able to smell it on me? 2. See I was visibly intoxicated by such drug? And then I said please can I offer you up my handbag, my jacket for a search to prove I do not have this on me what you are ‘accusing me’ of with 0 Proof, he very rudely said nope I will not be searching your bag. I asked him what, why? And was basically pleading at this point to let me prove to him he was wrong, so this sis not affect mine/my companies afternoon we have all worked so hard to plan!! He said nope you need to leave now. He would not listen or even look at me. At this point I was getting visibly distressed and upset as I was on a work event and this man is wildly accusing me of having drugs on me? Luckily for me I have worked here for many years, and everyone including my directors etc know me extremely well and didn’t even question me, they were extremely supportive and kind to me at this time where I was actually in tears now over this man and his horrible and what could of been irreversible accusations of me. I am a 30 year old professional working woman, and something like that, in the wrong hands and wrong company could lose somebody their job and livelihood!! Where does this manager get off fully bullying women who are on nights out with friends and work colleagues? It ruined my whole night, and whole weekend, I was so on edge at the situation and I would not wish that on my worst enemy. Fortunately my company are amazing, and we left immediately due to the rudeness and of this man, which more fool him as we had a free bar!!!! After speaking with friends and others on this situation it seems it is a common theme with this gent in flight club Leeds, and people are been thrown out for all sorts of ridiculous and unfair reasons, so my advise would be DO NOT BOOK HERE, DO NOT GO HERE AND PUT YOURSELF IN AN EXTREMELY AWKWARD POSITION, AND CERTAINLY DO NOT GIVE THUS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!

Staff were very rude and aggressive

Staff were very rude and aggressive. Our session was stopped early due to my friend who is inexperienced a darts throwing a dart and it hitting the wood surrounding the board and not the board. The staff rudely interrupted our session without ANY sign of warning & told us in a rude & aggressive manor to get out immediately, we had spent well over £100 on drinks and still had 45 minutes left of our 90 minute session, Horrible and rude staff.

It was an absolutely horrible…

It was an absolutely horrible experience extremely overpriced in every aspect and the music is way too loud and only gets louder for some odd reason. Simply a demoralising experience and I will never return with my beautiful girlfriend who did not enjoy either the place is nothing short of shit excuse my language. Stay away!!

Not value for money.

The Liverpool site charges £15 per person for 90 minutes play before 16:00.The problem is that if you book for a party of TWO you get ONE oche and ONE set of darts for £30.If you book for a party of 10, you still get only ONE oche and ONE set of darts but this time you pay £150. You will also waste most of your time waiting around while the other 9 players throw the ONE set of darts at the ONE darboard!If you insist on coming here in a large group, my advice would be to make separate bookings. For example, 5 booking of 2 people giving you 5 oches for the same price.This will save you having to wait around most of the time to have a throw at the board.The bar prices are expensive and the food mediocre and small portions.The actual venue is quite nice though.

Don't accept bookings for couples ...

Really wanted to go for my Birthday & Valentine's day celebration on a Thursday evening in Cheltenham only to find that they won't accept groups smaller than 4 on weekday evenings (though perfectly fine on a Sunday). Very disappointing and will not be recommending to friends

Bouncer and poor service

Always had a great time previously at the Cardiff venue, but so bad yesterday for my 40th and put off for life.... Firstly we waited almost 40 minutes for our initial drinks order which apparantly went to the wrong table. This was a little frustrating as people were being served at the bar way quicker and there is a service fee you pay for here. This is despite being told by staff its way faster than being served at the bar. Not the end of the world we move on. However, we also experienced delays with our food. Toward the backend of our booking, I enquired about it, and a staff member responded with, "Oh okay, now you have requested it, we will start preparing it." Why not be proactive and check with us beforehand instead of waiting for us to chase it up? To add to this, the food was then sent to the wrong table which I understandably subtly and respectfully(!) expressed my dissatisfaction as a paying customer. However, instead of addressing the concerns professionally, a bouncer approached me in a very rude, challenging, and smug manner in front of my entire party as we were eating — completely ruining what should have been a memorable 40th birthday celebration. When I calmly explained that I had spent money as a paying customer and was entitled to respectfully express concerns , he dismissively replied, "It doesn't matter how much money you have." This response was unprofessional and unnecessary. There is a way to engage with customers to get a better understanding without seeming to want to escalate the situation unnecessarily. Basic communication skills and professionalism were sorely lacking. I appreciate the efforts of the staff who were working hard, but for future feedback it felt like a supervisor or team member could have checked in to ensure everything was running smoothly. This simple step could improve the overall customer experience and support the staff during busy times. Unfortunately, after this experience —especially due to the confrontational bouncer — I dont think we will be risking our money on future bookings here. Members of our party had planned various events and corporate gatherings at this venue, but this incident has made us reconsider. I get things can't always go perfectly, but I don't expect a bouncer to behave in that way. Next time, come over ask for a chat and let's be reasonable about it all, horrible arrogant little man!

Liverpool Woke Brigade

This would have been a 5 if it weren't for the woke bar staff. Absolutely ridiculous behaviour. We were asked to leave because one of our party asked for a Dirty Martini, apparently, suggestively. The woke pink haired bar lady took offence and reported our friend and LIED by saying he had touched her. The bouncers were unbelievably good but obviously had to act on the complaint, but wouldn't get the cctv, that they said existed, but obviously didn't back up the complaint. Ridiculous behaviour. As a measure of how well behaved we actually were, we were given additional time, prior to the incident. Liverpool, if she is representative of your staff, you will lose customers

Glasgow booking

I booked a few months ago for a work party for around 30 people. The help and attention I received was amazing. They were very accommodating all the way through the process. The night of the event (02/08/2024) rolled around and what a night. The food was amazing! Service, first class and our host and Games Master were beyond fantastic! I could not fault one part of the evening. My workplace host two parties per year and everyone agrees this was the best ever had! I highly recommend this to anyone for work parties or large groups. The packages may be a little pricey but it really is all worth it when you add everything up. I want to should out Emily and the Game Master specifically for making sure everyone was fed and watered throughout the night and for me who suffers from a shellfish allergy, they really made sure I was kept up to date with what was safe to eat and what was not. This was the Glasgow branch. Massive thank you again!

Absolutely disgusting customer service…

Absolutely disgusting customer service with Flight Club!!! Do not book if you don’t have a crystal ball with life events happening!!!!!!!! Paid upfront (£80) to book in January - parents very ill with COVID. Finally managed to re book for this weekend however my father has fallen ill. So wanted to re arrange to a date in June only to be told if we can’t re book in May we will lose the £80 as they have already accommodated us once with a rearrangement of a date. I explained about COVID and now my dad needs and op - no compassion or empathy. I asked for June as 2 out of the 6 are shift workers in emergency services and that is the next / first weekend we have off - again they said sorry this is policy we are unable to change it again. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Yet happy for our money up front - hoping for people to cancel!!!!

Let down.

I would normally share how much I adore this place. I’ve been here Victoria before, as well as Bloomsbury and Leeds. Normally brilliant. This time, a crazy let down. Arrived an hour early thinking we would grab some drinks. All tables were reserved, which I do understand as it was Christmas. However, we arrived at 4, and tables were reserved at 6, which is stupid as many parties could use these tables in that time. It wasn’t like they were decorated or anything. There was a table which was due when our booking for a oche was so we asked a man behind the bar if we could sit there for a little while. He said he couldn’t see a problem with it but they give 15 minutes either way, so if we were to be moved by the waiter staff then we would have too. Made complete sense. However we found another table which was 15 minutes over the booking time, so we Sat down and within 5 minutes the RUDEST woman I have ever met came over and asked if it was our table. We stated no but the people hadn’t shown up so we were just trying our luck basically. She shouted at us and said they could still come. We stated about the 15 minutes but she was so rude we just left, and did luckily find another table. 5 minutes later a group of lads came in and she took them there and stated that the table hadn’t shown so they could sit there!!! Are you for real?! Once on the oche, customer service was very quick. The dart board was very delayed, weren’t counting some of the darts and saying different scores to what they had landed in. When the 5 minute timer came up, our Waiter stood waiting for us to move. Once it has finished as in within seconds, he literally started handing us our drinks of the bench and cleaning around us. We didn’t even have time to put our coats on or pick our bags up. It was just so rude and really ruined the end of our experience. I have never been somewhere with such rude and nasty customer service. Such a let down as I love this place. Next time try the Bloomsbury. Much nicer.

RIP OF

Arrived in Glasgow and easy to find ! Got taken to table on arrival was shown how to play games ect ! Was given menu for food and drink !! Waited 40 min for food and to be honest it frozen food that was over cooked ! Sent back 2 plates as was BURNT ! I do not recommend the food or there service for that matter !! Games are good 👍! Drinks well over priced we ordered Mock Tail and they are so small filled with ice and at a whopping 12:50 rip of !!! Got the bill and was shocked to add 12 1/2 % to our bill for service charge is outrageous this should told to every customer and should be ashamed f you want to pay it or not which WE WOULD NOT !! Am happy to leave a tip everywhere I go but here is my tip DONT GO ITS A RIP OF !!!!!!!!!

NOT VALUE FOR MONEY!!!

Great concept but not value for money! We ordered 5 small plates and two sides that took 40mins to arrive which is not good for basic pub food. The sides were overcooked and two of the small plates were returned as burnt. It was a Tuesday night so no excuse for the slow service and quality of the food. I'd hate to think what the service would be like on a weekend. Having seen the other reviews I was completely underwhelmed. Great decoration and potential but needs improving in certain areas as having spent £176 which included the £40 (60mins) for the darts, as I said, not value for money. The mocktails are way over priced for such small serves. This was a recce to see what it would be like. If going again (unlikely) I'd book the darts for 90mins, have a few beers then go elsewhere for food. Bear in mind it's a minimum of 6 people from Thursday to Sunday at the most popular times. And an absolute disgrace to add a discretionary 12.5% service charge...for what service exactly!!!

Had an absolutely fantastic time at Flight Club. You don’t have to be an expert and the games are very entertaining. You’re partners are picked automatically and changed each game to make it fair. TV screens above the board show the thrower and also the celebrations if they win.

So disappointing

Well done Cheltenham for appearing twice on trust pilot with a 1 star rating, probably the start of many.What happened? I tried to book online a table/darts for a Friday night at 17:30 for 4 people,only for it to be rejected saying that after 16:00 they require 6 people. Found this disappointing as I really wanted to play, so I emailed them on Wednesday with this: “you want a minimum of 6 people after 4pm can we play as a group of 4 but PAY for a group of 6?” They replied 4 days later (Sat afternoon) with a standard basic responseWith “Please note that we require for 6 people to check-in on arrival for the booking to go ahead.”So that got me thinking, why would any company turn down someone willing to pay for 6 people with only 4 turning up? I can only assume that as shown in the previous review by having 6 people you can charge them the 12.5% service charge! If it’s not that then please let me know if your business model is designed to alienate groups of 4 for nothing more than to screw people over for that extra profit. It’s a matter of time before people will get wise how they are being ripped off!Also if customers do email, you could do better than what appears a standard script, that doesn’t actually answer the question as it comes across as impersonal and cold and at least try to respond within your two day response time, however that seems far to long! as it’s a joke to reply after your potential customer wanted to visit.So disappointed.
