Forever Diamonds NY (and owner Roman) turned my engagement ring nightmare into an absolute dream!!! If you care about quality craftsmanship and 5* service, this is the place!I came across Forever Diamonds while searching for somewhere to re-set my engagement ring, after a horrendously disappointing experience with the jeweler who sourced my stone (he took forever and overcharged me for a setting that looked clunky, cheap and poorly made!!). I was devastated, stressed, disheartened, and told by several jewelry experts that, if I wanted this done properly, I’d need to find a craft jeweler who does hand-forged, bespoke work… but was warned that most would refuse to work with a diamond purchased elsewhere.After researching a few places, I walked into Forever Diamonds one afternoon without an appointment, fully expecting to be turned away. Instead, I met Roman, who spent over an hour with me, listening to my story and explaining everything that was wrong with my original setting. He pointed out the craftsmanship issues, described what a properly designed, hand-made (vs cast) ring should look and feel like, and talked me through a plan to create something worthy of my stone and the vision I had in mind. He wasn’t pushy, just reassured me that, if I chose to reset it, he would help me do it the right way, and his pricing was more than reasonable, especially given the extraordinary amount of time, effort and hand-work that went into the piece. After my first experience, I was nervous and hesitant to trust anyone again, and worried that the setting I had in mind just wouldn’t be doable, but working with Roman was a wholly different experience, and the quality, care and craftsmanship are incomparable.Roman literally spent hours with me over the weeks we worked on this ring to really understand and deliver what I was looking for. He truly went above and beyond. I visited the store at least a dozen times while deciding on side stones and refining the design. He sourced several high-quality natural diamond side stones quickly, each one perfectly matched in shape, proportion, and character to my center stone. He even created a “model” version of the ring, so I could really feel what it would be like to wear it on my hand, and let me refine the design based on that before it went into production, which really helped me make up my mind. He was endlessly patient, responsive and thoughtful. We texted frequently throughout the process, and he re-worked/adjusted the design multiple times without ever making me feel rushed or like a difficult client (which I was!). He genuinely cared about getting it right, which I really appreciate. The ring came out even more beautiful than I had hoped, so I’m beyond happy and grateful to Roman and his team, and can’t recommend them enough for anyone who cares about attention to detail and wants a ring that looks perfect. What began as a stressful, emotional ordeal turned into one of the most positive experiences I could have hoped for!
