Used Travelers Haven for temp housing…
Used Travelers Haven for temp housing in the Nashville area. I was told in email that I could move in on a certain day, only to find out that the date was actually two days later, which was a major inconvenience, as I was staying in hotels waiting on the apartment. After moving in, I had to wait several more days to have internet connected. Never got cable, though we were led to believe we would. The apartment reeked of cigarettes and was disappointing compared to the images used to advertise it. All of this was forgiveable, however, until the last problem. When I made the deal, I informed Travelers that I would only be staying one month. But then I failed to repeat this official notice on a specific date. In the end I'm being charged for two weeks' rent after I will have already vacated. Plus, the rent is already outrageously high for the quality of the apartment and furnishings, and to have to pay this exorbitant amount when I won't even be using the apartment is simply gut-wrenching. After all the inconveniences and miscommunications that I tolerated and forgave, it now seems that Travelers simply has their hand in my pocket, milking me for as much as they can.
