I have an a/c unit that was purchased in 2020 with a 12 year warranty. I found out this past winter when it got that cold up here in the northern part of Florida that it had no heating ability. The house went down in the fifties and a room heater didn't suffice at all. I have had numerous calls made, emails, and was told the matter would be remedied with an 8kw heat strip. As of April, I have had no response to emails, texts or calls.
