So worth it
The program is overall very well structured and everyone is very accommodating and welcoming. I haven’t fully gotten everything I could out from the program but I’m already getting so much attention from recruiters after getting three free revised resumes. The accountability partner is also a very nice feature that definitely helps.

Future in tech
As someone who has had a passion for technology, but had no idea where to start. Joining Govtech academy gave me a way to finally start working towards my future in tech. My check-in specialist Tatiana has been a huge help and made everything much easier to understand.

My greatest experience is having a real person to reach out to.
My greatest experience is having a real person to reach out to and not a chatbot. I am able to receive realtime feed back and not be referred to a link. Their is personal help available regarding creation of Resumes, Linkedin profiles, Job applications, Power hour and Coaches.

Honest Review
The amount of support that this community has built into the program. It makes it impossible to fail! Everyone that I have met so far has been extremely helpful and supportive. I'm honestly taken aback by it because this isn't even given at a university. It's nice to be surrounded by people who want to see you win. I am loving this community so far!

Great community and advice
My experience has been great in the program. It’s always good to have someone help you stay accountable. It also helps to have the community on Telegram. Having others going through the same thing just lets you know that you’re not alone. The modules on speaking to recruiters and preparing for interviews has also helped. The technical modules gave me a head start on learning as well. Finally, the weekly calls on Monday with Symone and the Saturday calls with Ace always give great insight on the best next steps. I think all of those things have helped me progress. Along with finishing my Masters degree and passing the Security X exam, the resumes and labs have really helped me go the next level. I’m proud of what I’ve already accomplished but I have much more work to do.

From Where Do I Start to I Know Exactly Where I'm Going
The amount of growth I have experienced within myself over the past couple of months since starting the program has been remarkable. When I first began, I truly did not know where to start or have a clear picture of the steps I needed to take to stand out in today’s job market. After receiving my personalized roadmap and being able to put it to effective use, I now have a concrete guideline to follow and feel very confident in my ability to navigate an ever changing job market. Being able to attend the online calls and participate in one-on-one coaching sessions has played a significant role in my growth. Even the way I have learned to leverage LinkedIn, gaining strategies to build an online presence that attracts recruiters, uncovers future opportunities, and fosters meaningful connections, has been nothing short of amazing.I am even more excited to build upon the success I have achieved so far and look forward to accomplishing my goals.

I am having a very positive experience…
I am having a very positive experience with GovTech Academy. The program is well structured, relevant, practical, and delivered by knowledgeable instructors. Having accountable coaches is a game changer in this academy by helping us to stay motivated to acheiving our goals. These coaches also help with a step by step guide to reaching the role you wish to acquire. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in changing their career into cyber security.

I'm doing a career change to the tech field and I'm coming off the press, hot and fresh, with absolutely NO tech experience!!! What makes my learning journey great for me is the overwhelming support that I receive from my Accountability Specialist, Khristal and my Accountability Coach, Alec! Khristal and Alec are very supportive and they give me the extra push to keep going when I feel defeated. Whenever I need them I just send a quick email or a chat message to schedule a zoom call. They ALWAYS answers promptly and help me stay on track! I enjoy our zoom check-ins because I don't feel rushed... They take the time to listen to my concerns and my accomplishments! The community chat room within this platform is non-judgemental and everyone genuinely want to see each other succeed! By staying disciplined and positive, I expecting great things out of the program!

I entered GovTech’s VIP circle with a robust foundation already in place. Having worked in cybersecurity since early 2021, I currently serve as an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for the Department of War. My credentials include a Top Secret (SCI) with Full Scope Poly, three industry certifications, a Master’s in Cybersecurity, and I am currently pursuing my Doctorate at Marymount University.Any significant professional progress I’ve made happened before I joined the VIP circle. Much of my current work and trajectory was already "in the works long before I signed up. I joined primarily out of curiosity to see what the GovTech ecosystem was all about. Overall, my experience has been very positive:• The Weekly Calls: These are the highlight. There is immense value in hearing folks share their real-world ideas and experiences navigating the current cybersecurity job market.• Tools & Resources: The program provides a solid suite of resources that are genuinely useful for those looking to sharpen their edge or break into specific niches. If you are looking for a community of practice where you can exchange ideas and access a curated library of resources, GovTech is excellent. It’s a great "pulse check" on the industry. However, if you are already a high-cleared, advanced-degree professional, view this as a networking and supplemental tool rather than a foundational one. It’s a great place to stay sharp, even if you’ve already carved out your path.

It's been reassuring with the coaching because of the helpful tips and advice.
It's been reassuring with the coaching calls and zoom meetings. Making time to jump into the modules even if it's a short learning it keeps my momentum of taking the right step forward to my goal. Tatiana's been very helpful with her own experiences in the learning modules and the genuine approach towards the govtech program.

Great camp, but still awaiting results
The resume review and interview coaching is very strong. Having an accountability coach is also great.One thing that could be improved is job search coaching. Most of the coaching emphasizes people who already have a security clearance, which is not my situation personally.I hoped that after I got my Security+ certification I would be able to transition into a role relatively quickly, but that hasn't been the case, and it's been quite a long process. Factors that have influenced this, I must acknowledge, are beyond Govtech Academy's control.
