All my experiences with Hampton Publishers were smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Their team listened carefully to my ideas and created a book trailer that truly reflected my story. I'm very grateful for their work. I highly recommend it.
Hampton Publishing CompanyI recommend just self publishing on Amazon as opposed to using this company for several reasons. If I had researched Amazon self publishing more before signing up, I would have saved the $1000+ and been done already, I could have just given it to a friend to edit and accomplished the same thing. They charm you into thinking they are going to be extremely attentive and helpful, then it turns frustrating. 1) Outsourced to India 2) Dealt with 6 different people "in charge of my publishing" while trying to self publish. there was seemingly a new person weekly. 3) Terrible communication, due to dealing with different people had to resend info several times. 4) After 2 months, nothing had been done except for a crappy book cover, which they corrected with my specific instructions. 5) They are not even professional enough to pay for the upgrade membership to the software they use to send documents back and forth (we transfer), and they don't tell you that, so anything send back and forth expires after 3 days. (hence the multiple transferring documents). 6) Constant attempts to finesse you out of more money for copyright(which you can do yourself for $40), and other things you don't need like trademarking and additional services. I finally told them stop trying to upsell me and just publish the book already. Currently I am at the two months mark and I just received the edited manuscript, which I cant read because the WeTransfer is expired, so I'm currently frustrated waiting for them to email me back on Monday. Will update as I go. Update; am in the process of receiving the edited book in increments will update with a conclusion when I’m done.

It is expensive rehab though they will get your book out onto amazon. If you want their rehab services you will pay though you will feel better about yourself.

This company is a scam. Do not use! I give them credit for having great people knowing how to sucker you into this deal. Promising 100% money back guarantee but that never happens. 14 months later still don’t have my website. Was told I had $14,000 royalties withheld because some guy has claimed the work for my titles. They said I need to pay $2800 for a five year plan for trademarking my titles then they will release my royalties. Bunch of BS!!!! I lost $15,000 to this company!!!! By the way, look up their address. It’s not what they say it is. They only use google voice for phone numbers.

Do not trust this company. They will promise you the world, take your money , then disappear. I researched all the positive reviews and the authors that supposedly reviewed them don’t exist. Stop using people and refund the money owed to us for your lack of contract obligations .
David Marshall was my project manager, and I was so pleased with his excellent and timely communications and responsiveness. He expressed genuine interest in the printing of my small essay (30-40,000 words) and made a number of key suggestions. I was especially pleased with the cover design.
I stumbled upon Hampton Publishers mainly because it was the first website that came up on the search engine. I was looking to get illustrations done for a children's book I had written dedicated to my grandmother. The book began merely as a project of passion, with no real intent on trying to sell the book once it was completed. With the help of Micah and others at Hampton, they really helped my book come to life with beautiful, original illustrations. They also made me see some things that needed to be tweaked or re-worded to make the book more fluid. Now that the book is completed, I feel confident and ready to share my book with the world! Special thanks to the illustrators for all their wonderful work. Mostly, I would like to thank Micah for putting up with me because I am a very upfront, honest and passionate person. That makes me difficult to deal with at times lol. Highly recommended.
Continuous hard sell on overpriced marketing packages. Sabotaged my manuscript during editing, i.e., removing or adding words in sentences (not making sense) inserted (copied) entire chapter in the middle of the next, removed all paragraph indents, refusing to correct, this back and forth went on for 5 months. And finally, tried to charge me again for the package already purchased. My final "approved" edit that was published resulted in indent and typeset issues. I could go on... Stay away from this company!
From the first phone call Hampton Publishers has been nothing but helpful. I'm not a strong writer and there were things I needed help with and was so greatful I found them. I'm looking forward to taking this journey with them. They also are very efficient they had a team right away helping me and made me feel welcomed and not silly for asking questions.
