Sorry I chose Home Energy Pros…

Went to the Home Energy Pros seminar/dinner presentation at the Ale House in Garner at White Oak. Dinner was held in the outdoor patio area of the restaurant which was hot and the food was just OK. I had to stand up and move to the wall as the sun was coming through the windows which weren’t open and made it even hotter. We were impressed and I knew my attic would get hot, so we scheduled an appointment for an inspection. The inspector called the day of the inspection and stated that he was over booked and couldn’t make it and would have to reschedule it. We agreed and rescheduled for a later date. The inspector finally came out on 16SEP2025 and did the inspection. He said there were signs that the attic was over 150 degrees before because of something he found. I could believe that because it gets very hot here in NC and I have been up there with it hot.He ended up selling me the thermal barrier and the solar attic fan supposedly for a deal but that wasn’t really a deal. There is supposedly a Tax advantage that I got with it but we will see how that works in 2026.The installer came to do the thermal barrier and fan installation on 20SEP2025, but he wasn’t prepared to do the fan installation because he didn’t have a ladder big enough to get on my roof which is just a standard 2 story home. I offered him my ladder which is plenty big enough but then he said he didn’t have the right shoes or harnesses to tie off with. He suggested that since my roof was new that I call the roofer who installed the new roof to get a quote as it may void the warranty if he did it anyway. I agreed with that and subsequently called them to schedule a quote. Certificate of completion was signed by me with the note that the fan was not installed. He didn’t seem too happy about the note but I put it anyway. He told me that if my roofer was too expensive that he would come back with the proper equipment and install it that it would only take about 20 minutes. The roofer who did my roof came out and said that wouldn’t work because my house was already set up with a roof ridge and eve vents so it really shouldn’t have a fan as that would be to much and they would have to block off the ridge vent for it all to work right. My research found that it is not that bad to have a fan with the ridge and eve vents so I think we will keep the fan and get David back to install it.Called the inspector on 01OCT2025 and left message for him to give me a call but that call was never returned.Called the installer 02OCT2025 @ 8:22 am and left a message. • He called back and told me he was going on vacation, and we agreed for him to give me a call when he got back to schedule it.I got a hold of the inspector again mid November and he told me he was going on vacation and would contact me when he got back to do the install. When he got back he did reach out and told me he would find a time to come do it and reach back out to me. Needless to say he never reached back out to me.I call both the inspector and the installer on 29DEC2025 and left messages with both but as of yet no response. My advice is to go elsewhere. My next stop is the BBB.

Complete professionals

Fantastic job from start to finish. We had the inspection completed and decided to move forward with the recommendations of our inspector. The entire job was completed quickly and professionally. The staff was professional and courteous, and addressed all of our concerns. Our home is relatively newer, but I feel confident that our home is at its peak efficiency and health, for many years to come. Thank you, Home Energy Pros, we would highly recommend this company for any and all of your home needs.
