Worst experience with an insurance

Worst experience with an insurance. I will avoid this company in the future.

Not impressed at all

I got a competitive quote via Compare the Market from Homenet but the policy just needed tweeking to suit my circumstances. Made a call to them and the Call Operator said it would need to be referred to the Underwriters, which was expected, and she would call back once this had been done.Three calls to them, and nine days later, and no progress. Have heard nothing. Can only assume that Homenet do not need new business. In summary, I went to the next quote made my query and, as expected, they needed to refer to the Underwriters and 10 minutes later got a satisfactory answer with a satisfactory quote and have taken out the policy.Not at all impressed with how Homenet deal with potential new customers so can only imagine the contempt existing ones are treated with.

I was offered a price of £89.75 on my…

I was offered a price of £89.75 on my renewal document, unfortunately the date slipped a few days so I rang them and they would no longer honour the price and wanted to charge me £104.75. While I waited on the phone I paid 7p a minute. This was a simple transaction but showed the lack of good faith by this company. Not recommended.

error processing your payment - seems they do this to everyone

Tried to purchase home insurance says - error processing your payment - but payment maybe taken. Then you need to call a premium line to sort it. Really not good and lots of red flags. Avoid

Disgusting con - Do NOT buy a policy!!!!

Disgusting con, do not buy a policy!!!!!!!!The con is that when you purchase online, it always says transaction failed and wait on hold for over an hour then they slowly go over the details and calls cost 7p per minute!!!!!! How and why is this allowed!!!!

Few teething issues

I got an error message on my payment, at first a bit of an issue. I got through to James and he sorted it really quickly, when I receive my documents I will update to 5 stars.

Poor service and no response from Homenet.

Tried to insure house and content with Homenet using ComparetheMarket. Could not contact Homenet at all. Tried phoning and was left on hold for over 5 minutes (at 7p a minute). Three times asked for call back and no response. Probably would have tried paying online but could not correct a date and of course no response from them. If so difficult to contact them when they are SELLING, imagine the horror of trying to make a claim. Very poor.

I can't believe there is only one review

I can't believe there is only one here review. Anyway this is my story. Searched buildings and contents quotes through compare the market and Homenet came in with the best quote using Legal and General. Purchased online having played with various options. That took about an hour then site wouldn't take my payment due to a 'TECHNICAL ERROR'I would have phoned them but I object to paying 7p a minute to do so, so I requested a call back and some hours later I got one. I then spent a further 41minutes on the phone with Karon going over every aspect of the quote. Eventually paid over the phone with my credit card. Hour later I get a text from my card company to call their fraud dept which I did. Their systems had blocked my payment as a fraud precaution. Anyway, I authorised payment and this has gone through. I am still waiting 10 days later for any kind of confirmation from Homenet and have not received any emailed policy or any docs even though I was told this would only take a couple of days. Requested another call back as online chat returns a error code 404. I'm still waiting. I've now no idea whether I am covered or not. Or even if my transaction is fraudulent. This is very poor customer service. If I am covered I really hope I don't have to make a claim.Oh, and to add insult to injury they wanted to charge me £10 when I rang them to pay as a call centre charge. SERIOUSLY?
