May not honor the marked warranty
I purchased a fuel pump in Canada from my local hobby store Great Hobbies. It is a HAN155 a Hanger 9 product from Horizon hobby.Short story it broke on the first use and due to the xmass holidays and the product being clearly marked with a 2 year warranty I took about 60 days to return it.Great Hobbies refused to replace it and sent me to Horizon hobby in the USA. Horizon hobby sent me their Canadian representative Hi-Performance Distributors. The reply I got from Mary Johnson "was the Hangar 9 warranty policy, the coverage period is confirmed as 30 days" even though the product is boldly and clear marked as having a 2 year warranty. When I pointed out Canadian law does not allow companies to promote a warranty they they will not honor she never replied again. WOW is all I can say.

Killer Customer Service
Horizon has a dedicated customer support team that genuinely shares their customers' goal to achieve the best RC experience possible; to get the richest experience out of this hobby. The company as a whole achieves this by consitently having a wide selection of RC products (of which a near-infinite amount exists) at competitive prices. I suppose any warehouse could achieve this, but what sets Horizon apart is their approach to customer service. I literally received a phone call to personally thank me for a recent purchase and confirm my enrollment in, and understanding of, their rewards program. When requested, the service rep on the phone gave me his personal company email. Being very new to the hobby at the time, our email exchanges quickly evolved to me asking questions about EVERYTHING concerning the hobby, from specific parts availability, to company history, to future product launches, to advice on which upgrades to select. This is genuinely much more than I would ever expect from an RC company. It speaks to the passion their team shares with their customers, a passion which becomes obvious at every interaction. This alone has me shopping directly at Horizon first, before I begin to see if what I need is available elsewhere.Thank you Horizon team, you have a customer for life.

Horizon Hobby is my Go-To for my Eflite Airplanes, Parts and Advise. I like that I can not only order from the website, but that I can order from them through my local hobby shop BayShore Hobbies . Thereby supporting that local small buisness. Product support is Excellent! Whenever I have questions or need advise about any of their numerous products, they always E-mail me in short order. Since I got into the hobby over the last 5 years, I have always been happy with them.

I have ordered a couple of products from them almost 2 weeks ago and still haven’t received them , they sent out the products through FED Ex smart post . Have tried to get the shipping problem corrected through both Fed Ex And Horizon Hobby . And all I get from the both of them is a bunch of BS . I’m a 77 year old man who is trying to buy a gift from them for my grandchildren . Horizon hobby has the poorest customer service I’ve ever seen and Fed ex service isn’t any better . This is just a warning to stay away from them both . And run away from them as fast as you can.

Beware of their gift card fraud
Their website said online giftcard should be emailed to me within 15 minutes to 24 hours. It has been 4 days and I still not receive mine yet. I contacted their cs and he said he will get back to ASAP then went cricket. I requested to cancel and he refused it due to their policy. Basically they took my money without delivering the good then deny my cancellation. This is a fraud, i’ll file a chargeback with my bank.

The A6380 servos are crap
The A6380 servos are crap! Purchase 7 for the Hangar 9 P51, I have to replace 2 of them, less than 20 flights. Recommend HITEC! Then to top it off, the live customer service Chat kept dropping me off while trying to discuss with customer service. Oh, and a replacement A6380 is backorder until May 2026! What the heck Horizon Hobby??

Never Again - Fix Your Returns Process
In 2025 to have no returns process is insane. They won’t provide you with a label, make you go to the post office. NEVER AGAIN. Had to spend $25 to return a $75 product. Embarrassing.

I’m disappointed with my experience with customer support. My claim wasn’t handled fairly, and despite providing detailed information, my concerns were dismissed without proper consideration. Communication was slow and unhelpful.On the other hand, I’m very happy with my second RC short truck, which has had zero issues after two months of use. Unfortunately, it seems not all products are built the same, and some appear to use different-quality parts. Very dissatisfied with how my case was handled.

Buyer be aware: No RETURN on anything ever
Buyer be aware: they do not follow their own return policy. Essentially, you cannot return anything.I ordered RF Flight simulator, software+controller, about $200 value. Software requires STEAM install which I cannot do due to security concerns. So, I immediately called and asked how to return. They said if I have opened the box, it cannot be returned. Even though their policy is for 30 day return and software not yet downloaded. They can easily confirm that I never downloaded their software. I never even touched any switches on the controller. But they refuse to take it back. If I had read other reviews on this site I would have never done business with this shady company. BTW, they have no phone number for customer service or complaints. Now I am stuck with some junk that will stay in the garage!Only recourse is to disput the charge with my CC company.

Absolute trash customer service
Absolute trash customer service. Placed an order, to later be told the item was "out of stock", confirmed with Horizon directly that the item was in stock, only to find now the price has been increased. The reality is, they forgot to change the sale price, don't want to honor it, and cancelled the order and told me they can't help or explain why it was cancelled. Garbage tactics, just own the mistake and absolute trash customer service. Reporting the issue to the BBB as well.
