Extremely disappointing customer…
Extremely disappointing customer service.We requested to reschedule our reservation at the Grand Bohemian in Asheville, NC after the Governor publicly urged people not to travel due to conditions. While the Governor may not have the legal authority under General Statutes to restrict driving, the guidance was clear and issued for public safety reasons.Despite this, the hotel refused to work with us in any reasonable way. There was no flexibility, no attempt at understanding the situation, and no meaningful customer service offered. What made it worse was receiving a generic, canned response that felt AI-generated rather than an honest or thoughtful explanation.In situations like this, transparency and basic courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, neither was shown here. I would strongly reconsider booking with this property if you expect understanding or flexibility when circumstances are beyond your control.

Wonderful Experience! From start to finish our one night stay…
From start to finish our one night stay was amazing- Michelle at the reception desk was so friendly and responsive as was all the employees we interacted with. I will definitely return and hopefully for a longer stay- great amenities!

Professional desk Clerk
Front desk clerk (an Asian man) was wonderful!!! He explained every detail about the hotel, also the shuttle. Very professional. Wish the hotel rates were a little more reasonable.

Amazing experience
Beautiful, beachfront hotel with gracious service. Feels like a small Ritz Carlton in the finishes in the room. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed (robes, yoga mat, umbrella, full-size products in the shower). All staff members were very helpful and pleasant. Pool staff offers to set up chairs for you with towels and umbrellas. Free ice pops offered by the pool. There was live music poolside and good food offered at the open-air restaurant. There seemed to always be enough chairs and shade for everyone. So nice! They delivered a surprise bottle of wine and treats to the room for my husband's birthday. Such a wonderful touch! The lobby is small. The spa was super nice! We both had a signature massage. Samantha did a terrific job. Enjoyed the salt room and sauna. Of note, there are no common areas to lounge with your spouse in the spa. Happy hour is not a relaxing experience, as the area is tight and crowded with adults wanting wine and kids wanting popcorn. That is one detail that could be better thought out. This was our first visit. My sister has raved about this hotel. That is what prompted our visit. I am already planning a return.
