I am sharing this review for patient…
I am sharing this review for patient safety awareness. There was no documented pre-drip evaluation of vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, or temperature), nor were vitals checked after the infusion, despite this being an IV therapy involving electrolytes.During the infusion, I began experiencing chills and shivering, which I raised with the nurse. This was dismissed and laughed off, with the explanation that "the fluids are cold going in." Given the contents of the drip and the symptoms, this should have been treated as a potential adverse reaction, not minimized.Additionally, the drip was administered in approximately 30 minutes, whereas comparable vitamin/electrolyte drips at other clinics are typically infused over 60 minutes. Shortly after completion, I experienced blurred vision, which is consistent with a possible reaction related to rapid infusion and electrolyte shifts. This clinic's lack of vital sign monitoring, dismissal of symptoms, and rapid infusion protocol raises serious concerns about patient safety. I would strongly encourage the clinic to review its medical oversight and infusion practices.I was called after submitting this review and told that the blood pressure machine was in service and that's why vitals weren't taken. They tried to bribe me to delete the review but in the interest of safety - I declined. Management never followed up with me after this incident. You have other options for you drip therapy - if this is how they behave, choose elsewhere! Management have tried to cover this up.
