Handled receivership in Aberdeen . These guys are liars and chancers . Blatantly told lies on paper, were inefficient to the point of incompetence. Phoned my representative asking questions, saying the info wouldn’t be used, and then used it. Avoid where possible please. They will backstab you in an instant.
Not professional at all. Complete conflict of interest in dealing with business. Vultures when my husband died,
I approached Johnston Carmichael as potentially becoming a new client. After two months of trying I am giving up, there communication is terrible taking 2 weeks or more to reply.If this is the way they treat prospective new clients, then I cannot entrust my business to them.When digging a bit deeper, it seems that they are 'understaffed' and provide an 'uncompetitive salary' to the current staff. All warning signs that I should go elsewhere.
Incorrect advice regarding HMRC's MTD requirements led to my leaving this accountant. With hindsight, I now see that other advice was to increase their fees and not in my interests. My current accountant's fees are much lower.
