Avoid at all costs
It’s taken me a year to be able to write this review in a calm manner. To sum it up, absolutely do not use this company. They are a broker advising as the moving company and will take your money and then ignore you until you give up. I ended up being charged over $2500 more than quoted just to get my stuff back for a cross country move. Once my stuff was in transit they stopped responding and seemingly couldn’t locate my items. The only reason I was able to track down everything I own (after 3 weeks) was because I took down the contact info of the folks who picked up my items. I don’t know how Richard and his team sleep at night doing what they do to people. They also claim to be a veteran friendly company, I can’t imagine how much they would scam a poor military family. Avoid this company at all costs.

I took about 6 months to write this message, as i had to calm myself down with the issues i had with these so called moving company. I contacted the Landmark moving & Storage back in Dec of 2021 for move i was making 6 months later. Paid 50% of the fees. Every few months i contact the company to make sure i give them enough time to be ready for the move. Little did i know they were BROKERS and not actual movers. I was suppose to contact them a week before my move to confirm the dates and within 24 hours they were to call me back with the time of pick up. I kept my side of the promise but the company did not call me until the evening before of my move. The worst part of the lady who spoke to me. I had to call her 5 times in 24 hours and she claimed she was riding her motor cycle and does not take the calls during the ride. Kudos that she follows the rules, but wasn't sure where she was going in her bike for 24 hrs. and then she was the most rude customer service person i have talked to in my entire life. Somehow the moving companies comes over, made me pay extra for whatever extra services he added. i was told i will receive my items in 3 weeks. FF after having stayed on call for another 48 hours, this guy drives all the from GA, reaches my place at 3 in the morning. When he opened the truck i was in shock. They had loaded the vehicle by throwing the boxes into the truck. It looked like the luggage gets thrown on the conveyor belt at an airport. Some of my furniture were broken. And the mover guy says there were stairs in the house. I am not sure which house does not have stairs. Overall this is the worst moving experiences. Please DO NOT HIRE THEM. Cube/Pods are a better option.

Worst company I’ve ever encountered
Worst company I’ve ever encountered. Wouldn’t recommend even to my enemies. Broken items, missing items, difficult to get ahold of, manager is inappropriate and should be fired for how he communicates/more like yells to customers, I had to unload my own furniture and haul it up the stairs bc the mover “had a bad back” and showed up by himself, did not show up on time…. Showed up 4 weeks later despite paying for expedited delivery within 4 days. I’d give a negative 5 stars if I could. DO NOT USE.

DO NOT USE!!This is not a moving company, its a negligent, dishonest , incompetent group of fraudsters that present themselves as a moving company, fast talk you through "great deals", low ball you a quote then send over some rando's to move your stuff. They will low ball your estimate then put it on whatever actually moving company they hire to tell you that you've actually gone over the estimated footprint and then you'll either have to cancel or fork over another $1000 dollars or start from scratch. I wish I would have started from scratch and drove my stuff myself. They were supposed to deliver my stuff to VA from FL days ago but I've not seen it and they will not answer phone calls or emails. The only reason I know that its sitting in Ft Myers today is because we packed an airtag. Mind you, it was supposed to be here on Saturday. They will tell you the flight of stairs is free but won't tell you that a flight of stairs is considered to be 7 steps. There is NO flight of stairs in the country that is 7 steps... The $75 charge is not a big deal but its an indicator on how they do business. Terrible service, terrible communication, dishonest and incompetent. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR STUFF!!!!

Terrible Company
Terrible company. They are not movers but moving brokers. They contract out to the lowest common denominator. We were contracted out to two different companies. When American Moving couldn't make it we got stuck with Brooklyn Moving and Storage. They are worse than Landmark. Landmark will gladly take a deposit by electronic check but Brooklyn will only take cash upon delivery which they tell you when they are about to deliver. At that point Landmark is no help whatsoever. We dealt with someone named Paula that was pretty much useless, never answered the phone and rarely called back.

A failing grade in elementary customer service
They are responsive right up until the moment your items are loaded on the truck and then you cannot reach them or the company they contracted out your move to. After dozens of unanswered phone calls, we don't even so much as have a tentative arrival date for our things. I hate leaving negative reviews but moving is stressful enough and people should be aware that this company and their affiliates will add to that stress. Don't buy the "military friendly" bit either.

Worst company ever!
Worst company ever!They show that they are really good until you pay the deposit and quality assurance. The movers (third party) come and try to upcharge like crazy (our initial estimate was $2,600 and they were asking for $9,000) and Landmark doesn't answer phone calls. When we try the next day, they put the blame on us saying we couldn't negotiate with the movers. DO NOT USE THEM.

Never would I recommend this company for your long distance move. Scammers... contracted for a move in Sept of 2021 for a move from PA to FLA. They talk a good game. Paid my $900.00 deposit and was all set. Had to cancel the move, so I followed their cancellation protocol in order to get my deposit back. Called, no answer..wrote emails..no response. 6 mos. later still trying to get my deposit back... Warning !! if you plan to use this company for your move, you are giving them a NON-Refundable deposit , even if you cancel in the contract guidelines.

Dishonest Scammers
Landmark offered me a move for $4,800 (based on extensive pictures of my home), so I went with them. When the moving truck arrived, they proceeded to upcharge me for a total of $8,000! When I called their office, nobody would pick up, until about two hours later. A woman named Paula was who I spoke with. They were willing to bring the price down to $7,000, but after two hours of a painful situation and having a terrible feeling of being scammed, I had to listen to my conscience and send them away. You can't trust your belongings with people like that. I am out $1,128.99 on my deposit, even though they said they would refund me once I canceled -- they lied and never did. I'm trying to locate their office, but it's just a virtual address (I wish I had done research beforehand.) This is the first time in my life that I have been scammed. Do not use "Landmark Moving & Storage" to avoid the painful situation that I am now going through.

UPDATE! It is NOVEMBER 20th and I still don’t have my refund! They are now holding my money because I wrote reviews on my experience with this company. The reviews and a call from the local authorities is what got me any traction for MONTHS. They bank on people not knowing the laws or their rights. THEY ARE ILLEGALLY HOLDING MY MONEY TRYING TO SAVE FACE OF THIS COMPANY. AS I STATED I WON’T STOP UNTIL I GET WHAT IS OWED TO ME! NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO LET YOU GET AWAY WITH FRAUDULENT PRACTICES!! PEOPLE WORK TOO HARD FOR THEIR TO BE SCREWED OVER BY A COMPANY WITH BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!This company is FRAUDULENT!! They called themselves “veteran owned” and they should ashamed of their business practices!!! Their salesman Jerrid sells this company TOO WELL. I hired them to do a cross country move in August, WAS CANCELED THE DAY OF MY MOVE, and treated rudely, because their movers didn’t want to work with the HOA restrictions of my building. Instead of trying to work with me, they just offered a REFUND, I accepted. After many ignored calls, emails, and texts, I still don’t have a refund. EXCUSE after EXCUSE is given. I just want the refund of my deposit for a SERVICE YOU DID NOT RENDER WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!

I was quoted one price and then charged three times more didn’t get my stuff moved they won’t answe the phones or email me they came with a small truck not a semi which wasn’t any bigger then a studio apartment not a four bedroom house plus the guys drank beer all day now they have have my stuff and still have stuff out side with that said want to charge me another 11 thousand dollars for a 25 ft which isn’t big and I am broke don’t use this company

Let the truth be told...DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Received a phone call on 8/15 saying your truck will be arriving from 2-7pm on 8/16. The next day, 8/16, no phone call no truck. Wasn't until 8/17 did I receive a phone call saying the truck had engine problems. So you think it would be easy to get my initial cash deposit back of $1184.22 paid on 8/5, right? Nope!!! Still waiting. I've called and emailed as you would expect no resolution. They asked for my new address on multiple occasions but still no check. Oh it has to be a check because supposedly their system won't allow an EFT even though I as a customer can pay online. Bunch of ding dongs. Used some dumb moving company named Brooklyn-something so then when you call back the line is busy. Or if you call back to your rep...nothing or their general # nothing productive if you get a hold of someone or their voicemail is full or a manager was out of the office. And this is military-friendly...they should be a washout or close up shop. Don't do business with them. If there were a no star option they would have earned it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a broker that will make you believe that they will be doing your move. This will act like they care about you and your things, and will end up giving your contract to a nobody company with a 0 rating and your things will get destroyed. They will tell you they will give a white glove service and guarantee you that they will see you through your move, and at the first sign of problems they will avoid your calls, tell you you have to take it up with the company that shows up at your door and that you had no choice but to use. Danny made a ton of promises that he did not deliver on. My family and I completely got played by him and his company and we were a 12000+ move, not a 2000. Again do yourself a favor, hear my warning and DO NOT USE THEM, save yourself the headaches!

The absolute worst moving company
The absolute worst moving company! DO NOT USE! I initially booked Landmark to move my things from Atlanta to Monterey, CA in May 2021. I gave them an estimated delivery date of early June 2021 in which it is now August and I still have not received my things. I provided them an itemized list of my things and when they arrived, they told me that it will be almost double the cost to have my things moved. The driver told us we will receive a bill and we can further discuss the charges at that time. 4th of July came and I still had not received a bill nor my things. When we reached out to them, Tim told us that my things had been sitting in a storage unit in Norcross, GA due to me not paying the correct amount at pick-up. We told them we paid the amount that was instructed based on the contract that was signed. Tim then went on to tell us that we have to pay the storage fee of $1,400 and once that has been paid, they will be able to get my things out of storage and out for delivery. That was paid the following week after the 4th of July. Again, it is now August 23rd and we cannot get in touch with anyone from Landmark Movers. Tim, who I believe is the dispatcher, has blocked my number. Kasey who initially provided me with the quote and contract has refused to answer my calls or texts. The customer service number provided on their website always goes into voicemail. Words cannot describe how atrocious this company is and how unprofessional they have been through the entirety of this process. I am seeking to simply get my things back and are having to take legal action get them due to them being so unresponsive.

The service was outstanding! My driver was on time, and was super careful with all my goods when putting them in the truck. The movers were friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!
