Another good holiday with Leisuretime by Toureasy.
Our coach driver Jock was amazing, he was well presented, professional, informative and funny throughout our trip. The Selborne hotel was friendly and a good place to stay. Mgt came onto the coach to give us details and then we had a speedy check in. But, my room was small, compact and needs a total refurb. I was in room 210 and I was shocked by the loose wallpaper and the faded pink paint work on the walls, which were also dirty. I had to clean my TV remote control and the kettle. Has decent amount of draws and wardrobe with coat hangers and mirrors. All other room amenities were OK. No iron, so I brought my travel iron. Plenty of tea and coffee, you could get extra supply from the bar area. The bathroom was functional, clean and tidy. But the seaview was amazing, it made up for the state of the room. Its worth paying the extra to have a seaview room at the back of the hotel, its a view to die for.My bed was comfortable and I slept very well each night. But you can hear everyone else in their rooms and the noise from the corridors etc.Dining room is lovely and clean with the view overlooking the sea. The menu is varied with a good choice and catered for all my vegetarian needs. The quality of the food and the portion size is really good and Brian, our waiter was super fast and efficient. The cold breakfast buffet is cereal and juice only but the cooked breakfast choice is good and again good portion size. The garden lawn is large but there are weeds everywhere, in the pots and bedding areas, which is such a shame. There is a ??? pond which is full of weeds. They also need new patio furniture. The steps that lead down to the patio and lawn are broken and need to be repaired. The whole garden needs a good sort out. The garden leads down to the sea front which is lovely to walk along. All of our trips were very good with a good variety of places we visited and the scenery is stunning as we were driving along. Its also very clean .Inveraray is a nice pace but Inveraray Jail is £18.95 to visit!!! So I didnt go in.Mount Stuart House is fascinating and the history is incredible and the architecture is mind blowing. The female guide gave us so much information if I didnt listen to her I would not have been able to appreciate all that I saw.Jock, our driver navigated all the small roads with expert care and kept us amused along the way. TOP CLASS GENTLEMAN.Botanical Gardens were extensive and we didnt get to see the red squirrels. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.I ordered a packed lunch from the hotel for our return home trip and I was not disappointed. The holiday is very good value for money.I ighly recommend this holiday.
