Excellent products.

I purchased a couple of duffel bags over the holidays from Levinson Leather Goods and had a great experience overall. The quality of their bags is excellent and their customer service was especially pleasant. They worked with me on some minor customizations and made sure everything was finished in time for Christmas. I’d definitely purchase from them again and will be recommending them to others.

Poorly made, but good customer service

Edit: increasing my rating. I reached out to the customer service team and received a full refund for the bag I purchased. They were very responsive and removed the style of bag that I bought from their website after looking into the quality. I didn't get a replacement, so I don't know if other bags would be better, but I can at least say that they are understanding and will work with you if you have problem with the bag you receive.I just received a bag from Levinson Leather Goods and I wish I had done more research before buying. The bag is so poorly assembled and the leather is clearly very low quality. Even on sale, it was not worth what I paid. The fact that they state they are located in Atlanta and LA, but drop ship straight from India, makes me question their ethics. I don’t recommend buying from this brand at all.

Beautiful leather bag

My initial order was placed in mid November, a bag arrived and was very disappointing, it was not the quality I expected. I left an honest review with intent to return the purchased bag. The company immediately reached out, apologized and gave me a couple options. Full immediate refund (no restocking fee) or replacement order at no additional charge for another messenger bag. I decided to choose another bag hoping it would be as nice as advertised online. It arrived quickly and to my delight, The bag is beautiful and fully met all my expectations on quality of leather, design and price. The leather was soft, the lining and stitching was nicely done. The bag was a gift to my son for his 26th birthday. I was excited to show him the replacement and he loved it, his face lit up, “ this is exactly what I wanted”. Thank you Levinson leather goods for having great customer service and a beautiful product. I was not asked to change or update my initial review. I have previously worked in retail sales and purchasing for a major retailer, things can happen with suppliers in manufacturing . I appreciated their quick response to a problem and making sure I was happy with their product and shopping experience. I would recommend their leather messenger bags and will be repurchasing another bag soon.

Great Customer Service

A different product was sent to me. The Levinson Leather Goods customer service was great and took care of the issue immediately. Low quality

Update: the company quickly responded to my email regarding the quality and would like to replace it. The email mentioned they were going to investigate the issues. I'm very please with how well they handled my complaint. I will update the rating and review when the new bag is recieved. The bag came poorly packaged, which was a good indication of the quality. The "leather" was very dry, cracking and had what appeared to be oil-stains. The hardware is thin and cheap. This bag is trash.The bag was inside a thin canvas cover and shipped in a plastic bagWarning!!!!!!- they will charge you $29.99 to return it, PLUS shipping fees.

Great exchange experience

I was so excited when I received a Levinson Leather Goods messenger bag as a gift and loved the quality, but the closure type just wasn’t my style. On a whim, I called the number on their website and was pleasantly surprised to reach a real person right away which honestly felt refreshing compared to most companies..she was also extremely friendly and easy to talk to. I asked if there was any way I could trade the bag for a different one, and the whole process turned out to be so much easier and faster than I expected. They worked with me directly so the gift giver didn’t have to be involved, which I really appreciated. Every followup email was answered right away, and they kept me updated at every step. I’m completely obsessed with the new bag I just received and couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Poor quality bag and the company was…

Poor quality bag and the company was kind of a pain to work with. Ordered the bag, it came beat up and in poor condition. Tried to return and they told me I had to pay for shipping and a restocking fee. I sent it back knowing I’d only get some of my money back. I never saw the money get returned. 20 days after they had received my return I followed up and asked if they plan on sending some of my money back. I honestly don’t think I would’ve gotten anything back if I didn’t email them.

BEST Customer Service I have ever dealt with

My husband and I wanted to give our Son-in-Law a unique and special gift. We hit the jackpot when we found Levinson Leather Goods. We purchased the medium, clay leather duffel bag. Our Son-in-Law is in Law Enforcement and he appreciates a well-made and unique duffel bag for his very active lifestyle. The bag is just what we hoped it would be. The workmanship and the quality of the leather is amazing and hard to find these days. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase. Great experience overall

I recently ordered a personalized messenger bag from Levinson Leather Goods for my son’s graduation gift and I am beyond satisfied with the quality and service. The bag is really well made and I am very happy with the craftsmanship.When I called to place my order, I was informed that my bag would need to ship from the manufacturer because of the personalization I wanted to add. I was also offered expedited shipping from LA without the initials added to speed things up, but I was happy to wait a few extra days to make the gift extra special. I placed my order on April 5, and was pleasantly surprised that it arrived on April 11, even before I was told. The woman who helped me over the phone was very sweet, accommodating and was so wonderful in helping to point me in a direction of what I was looking for and what was the best placement for my son’s initials. It is so refreshing to be able to talk directly to someone who is also so helpful and personable. I will certainly recommend this company to friends and family members. Thank you again for making this gift so special!

I wish I could give a review of the…

I wish I could give a review of the purchased bag I ordered. Only problem is, it’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t received it. This is after the 10 Business Day Shipping they provided. I have called twice and a younger lady (who by the way knows nothing about lying as I can hear it in her voice. The lies she spews are laughable.) she promised it would be shipped two weeks ago from CA. I let a week slide and called back- she then mentions it’s “hot off the press in production and will ship out “today” another week ago. I asked for the tracking number and she hesitated at first and then gave it to me. This damn bag is coming from India. And it’s not hot off the press, it’s coming from a sweat factory. I know from reviews that I’ve read- this company is garbage. They won’t give a refund even if I asked for one. I won’t dare waste my time asking for one cause I assume this is a family ran “business” and would almost guarantee they have zero clue on how customer service works- look who they have handling phones. I say this to say- if and when I do get my purchase, I pray to god nothing is wrong with it. Cause good luck with that. If you’re reading this, take your $200, get in your car, drive up to about 50mph, open your window, and throw your money into the wind. You’ll get a better shopping experience by doing that rather than dealing with this incompetence and pathetic excuse of a retail company.

Updated The craftsmanship is subpar

The craftsmanship is subpar. The buckles are tarnished and the shoulder strap pad is not good quality. Overall for the price it’s not what I was expecting.I received their Buffalo leather briefcase and it is amazing! Excellent quality. Customer service is topnotch!

Exceptional customer service and products

I've been using Levinson Leather Goods leather bags as client thank-you gifts for the past couple of years, and couldn't be happier with my experience. The quality and craftsmanship of their bags are absolutely beautiful and our clients have really loved them. Their customer service is extremely responsive and accommodating and have been great to work with. They always go the extra mile, even allowing us to personalize each bag we send directly to our clients with their initials monogrammed. I highly recommend their company and products.

Direct shipped from India - Poor Experience

FYI - they don't post real reviews on their site, they filtered mine. Bag arrived direct from India in a smashed-up FedEx box all taped up. It was rather amusing to watch my wife try and open it. They did try to protect the bag inside with a poorly silk-screened burlap bag (logo was jacked up) trying to mimic a luxury handbag sash. The bag was rubbed with a mink oil to soften it, some residue remained. It is a distressed bag (Cobalt Buffalo Briefcase) so being a little beat up from transport was OK. The shoulder strap clasp was busted on one side, no spring return to hold shut (at least it still holds up the bag). The cuts on the leather are not straight, to me it looks like 3rd grader quality straight lines. You can tell it is hand crafted and sewn, this part was better craftsmanship. The inside liner was of basic quality fabric. Overall, disappointed no one reached out when I placed my review with the broken strap. I expected more I guess, and thought this would be of better quality... but hey $200 is $200 bucks. Update, after this REAL review here on this site they did get back to me. They did offer me a new bag that was of verified quality, direct from CA, I never replied, and they never sent it. They did send a new strap. Months later they wanted this review down and flagged it as defamatory. WHAT A HASSLE, and supreme waste of my time. So here I go spending more of my time on this transaction, dropping it to a single star.

Wedding present

I was looking for a wedding present. I bought two bags (his and hers). Purchasing from them was great. I had questions about the bags and they were quick at answering. I told them that I was in a hurry to get the bags and they overnighted for me without charging me the difference. Their customer service was great. The bags are awesome, the quality of the leather and they are very spacious. It made for a perfect wedding gift

I absolutely LOVE the bag I received…

I absolutely LOVE the bag I received from Levinson today. I ordered it through an internet pop-up and just decided it looked like it was worth a shot. I'm so pleased with it. They save money on elaborate packaging and pass the savings on to us. (Your bag will arrive flat, packed in a Fed Ex mailer.) The bags on the site are broken in. Of course, the new bag you get will have a fresher and maybe, at first, less charming look. But it just takes time. It's well made. It's absolutely what they have advertised. I encourage you to order from them if you are looking for a bag like this.

Ordered a leather bag from Levinson…

Ordered a leather bag from Levinson leather goods. When it finally came, it was not protected properly (in a plastic bag). The leather bag is also nothing like the image on their website. DamageBag came in with scrapes and marks all over it (I have images). ProductThe bag we ordered, based on the website, was a square sided bag, stiff (vertical sides). The bag received was a flat bag - not that they shipped the incorrect bag, but the way that it was packaged resulted in the shape changing and it would never return to the correct shape. Return Policy. We contacted Levinson to return the bag. The replies came sporadically - first asked us if they could send us another bag (no....as the problem was in the design), and then we were given a ship to address for the return (and they charge a $30 restocking fee). The shipping and restocking fee added up to $80 for a $200+ bag we did not get. Just a warning to others out there from a dissatisfied customer.UPDATEI received a phone call from a Nathan (the owner at levinsonleathergoods.com?) at 8:40am. As an aside, the number that came up on my phone was a SCAM number, which is telling. Nathan started off explaining to me that the bag I received was perfectly fine. I guess my eyes were lying to me. I was told that the scratches and marks were actually distressed... He tried to not let me get a word in but I stopped him - told him that everything written in my review is 100% accurate, and that in light of that levinsonleathergoods.com should refund the restocking fee and the shipping back to California (keep in mind that it is not that we did not want the bag, but is was damaged and not as per the image on their website). He told me that he would refund the restocking fee ($20), but would never ever refund the shipping back to California. Several times he mentioned that he could have this negative review removed in an instant. I told him to go ahead - it's not about the $70 or $80, it's about principle. I don't care about the money at this point. Now I understand why amazon has grown so large - service and return policy.Update 2.0Levinsonleathergoods.com' owner seems to be digging deeper and deeper by not telling the truth. Bizarre - just a warning to others' Their response is not accurate. When my wife requested a refund we were offered a replacement bag (which, given the poor quality and damage due to packing she refused) but this was not "immediately offered". They seemed to not want to refund cash. Money issues possibly? The owner did call my wife almost a week ago and relayed how her husband should never have been involved with customer service and apologized for his behavior. She told my wife that we would be refunded the $50 shipping that we incurred but we have not received the refund as of today. The $20 was refunded recently, after several emails. My guess is that Nathan (her husband) has told her not to refund the return freight charge. The smart thing to have done by levinsonleathergoods.com was to send us a return label, refund the full amount and move on. (a) Nightmare to deal with this company.p.s. rereading their response to my experience: "family owed company", this implies a close knit family owned business with family members and employees out in the back of a factory making leather bags. The bag we ordered came from India. They basically drop-ship. Took three weeks to get the bag which came direct form India. That means that they don't keep inventory and possibly never see or inspect their product.

Very satisfied

Very satisfied with my experience purchasing from Levinson Leather Goods! After coming across their website I spoke to a representative named Jessica and she helped me narrow down the right buffalo leather bag for me and helped place the order over the phone. The bag arrived quickly and is even better quality than expected. Will definitely recommend them to others in the future.
