Using chat feature to find out copay, total failure!
I used their chat feature to find out what my copay would be for surgery in hospital twice! First person told me $70.00, second person told me $-250 that would be all since it's done in hospital/in patient. Incorrect! I find it appaling that UHC has such terrible customer service! Those people have no clue what you are asking for. UHC you can do better than that!

My wife & I have People's Health Medicare, which is owned by United Healthcare. Our call to People's Health lasted over an hour as we were given the run around. Asked for the benefits department but was sent by the automated attendant to the UCard information line. We already know our balance and are not looking to purchase an item. Finally got a real person who could not explain why the UCard limit had gone from $100/quarter to $75 in 2025 and is now at only $50 for 2026.Next, asked for the vision department and an agent calling himself Michael hung up on us when we asked why glasses were no longer covered every year, but only every two years. We both got new prescriptions from our optometrist yesterday, but now have pay for them because we're not covered until 2027, as we got new glasses in 2025. Finally got an agent named Rose who left the line for over 10 minutes and never returned to explain why it was now every two years.The next agent was Kathy and she had no answer for the change. She left the line for over 15 minutes. I think they're hoping one hangs rather than listen to their annoying music. One is not given the option to wait in silence. We had to hang up when the next agent broke up so badly that we couldn't hear a word.HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & NEVER AN ANSWER!! Guess the answer is UHC & People's Health want to make more money off of their loyal clients.

I was having computer issues trying to download my premiums paid page. Rona B worked tirelessly to get my problem solved. It was after 9:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. She is professional, knowledgeable, and very kind. If every "chat" person had her helpful attitude, we would all live in a kinder world. I am so grateful for the help I received.

I submitted a dental reimbursement back in July it is now December I followed up at least five times since then I keep getting a person in another country who can barely speak or understand English as a result I'm still contacting United healthcare with no luck they keep telling me they're going to reissue the check this is the worst Medicare company any senior could ever use and I plan on switching this after 1 year with them stay away from this health care company

Terrible lying customer service
This company has the worst customer service anywhere. We have dealt with 4 different agents and got 4 different answers on a claim from early June 2025. First one had no idea, second said that they paid the provider we had already paid, the third said the check was in process and should be received in 6-10 days. The last agent said no more than 60 days to receive check. No confidence that anything will happen.

They offer free Uber Rides to your Doctor Appointments. I made an appointment on Tuesday for a Friday appointment. They would not schedule the ride because I missed their IDIOTIC rule of making the appointment 72 hours in advance. I was 1 hour over the 72 hour rule. DO YOU THINK THIS COMPANY REALLY CARES ABOUT ITS POLICY HOLDER? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!

It's nice to know when your house burns to the ground, loosing everything you own, including your dogs. United Healthcare has your back, Not they have alot to be desired in the compassionate realm. They wouldn't pay for refills, my meds burned up in the fire. It's easy to see, why they are loosing money as well as customers.

I've had United healthcare for almost 2 years now and they have been the best insurance company that I've ever been with, I was in an accident with a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler at 40 miles an hour and United healthcare took care of everything from the beginning of emergency service all the way to recovery and I appreciate everything that they've done, absolutely love this company...

After being ignored by my previous Medicare Advantage agent, I decided to call United Health Care myself to get help. They were wonderful. Evidently, the previous agent never gave them my address when he applied for me. When I called UHC, they put in my correct address, assured me I would be covered, and sent me a copy of my benefits. Thank you, UHC.

Horrible company that refuses to pay their bills. I’ve lost three doctors that will not see me anymore because the bills keep getting disputed and the doctors never get paid. These people are criminals and keeping patients from their doctors, from their medication and from being reimbursed for treatment. The worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with I have been filing appeals for the entire year of 2024 for three separate physicians.

I called this morning, about 8:35 am (CST). I wasted about 30 min., trying to get Del to understand what I needed. I kept on trying to get her to transfer me to someone else that could comprehend, but she wouldn’t! She Finally transferred me, after 45 min.,to Princess. The problem: I haven’t been able to use my UCard at Walmart nor Dollar General in Marshall, MO. Then I was transferred to Alia, who told me I had a credit of $13.25, that I had to use today, Dec.1. Impossible! I CAN’t use my card! Then I was transferred to Laziah, then to Raba, who said I had until 12/31. I finally talked to She India. This is utterly RIDiCULOUS! Was good three year ago. Downhill ever sense. Customer no services moved out of states. Have to call multiple times to get someone I can understand. Last fall I asked for update plan info. They sent wrong info. Got 7 ucards. They no longer know what they are doing. My senator had done Medicare investigation on my behalf. They lied to Medicare

Can’t get prescription refill at a new pharmacy after 2 hr on web and phone…
Just spent 2 hours trying to get a prescription transferred to another town & different pharmacy.Web page has choices to transfer prescriptions but they don’t work. Found one page that actually let me choose the new town, but would not let me choose a pharmacy (and put the prescription where I was charged the full price vs insurance covering the entire price).Talked to 2 reps (not in US) and one chat (not in US).The reps had no Clue about how the web page worked or how to solve the problem nor even details about the policy.When asked for an escalation the 3rd time got someone in the US. After 20 minutes she said she talked to the pharmacy department and they “fixed” something so that I could get the prescription (had refills) in the new town but also said I needed the Dr call in a new prescription. What? Just garbage. Advise choose someone else for your health care coverage.

Terrible Customer Service
I have had this company for over 6 years and I have never been able to use the internet site to see my account for that whole time and now I just moved to Florida and I still can't log in. I also was put on hold for 30 minutes by technical support and then I was switched to a salesperson. They didn't let me know I had their insurance for 4 weeks and I found out when they sent the OTC catalog. Go somewhere else.
