The perfect interactive companion for a curious 4-year-old
The Miko 3 has been such a massive hit in our house lately. It is honestly refreshing to find a gadget that manages to be genuinely educational without losing the fun factor that keeps a kid actually interested. We’ve seen a real spark in curiosity since it arrived, especially with the interactive games and stories that feel more like playtime than a learning session.
One of the best things about it is the personality. It’s surprisingly expressive and responsive, which makes it feel like a little buddy rather than just another plastic toy sitting on a shelf. It reacts to voices and faces in a way that feels really intuitive for a young child.
As a parent, I really appreciate the control I have through the app. It’s easy to track what he’s engaging with and manage screen time without any of the usual tech headaches. Plus, the build quality is solid enough to handle the daily energy of a four-year-old. If you're looking for a smart, safe, and engaging companion for your little one, I can’t recommend this little robot enough!

5+ years waiting. No product, no refund. SCAM
I am backer #528. I paid $239 in January 2020. It is now 2026 and I still have nothing. The support team (Salman) keeps sending me "urgent review" templates for 2 years now. They admitted they have no stock but refuse to refund the shipping fees I already paid. Do not trust this company.

Dishonest
Miko has a bug bounty program, which states "Miko strives to acknowledge receipt of all submitted vulnerability reports within 1 month of submission."
I submitted a bug report more than two months ago, they fixed the security vulnerability, and have since ghosted me.
Very unprofessional.

Backed the chessboard on IndieGOGO…
Backed the chessboard on IndieGOGO which is most likely where most of those saying 'Kickstarter' actually mean, but it's been six years... Still no product. I have emailed my backing with proof of investment to Miko again, and will see if anything comes of it.
Now seeing them popping up with influencers before the people that backed them. Poor PR move, but that's just my opinion.
For now, they simply seem to have left a lot of backers empty. If the service can do that, what would they do elsewhere? Will amend if they finally fulfill.
UPDATE: FWIW, I did get a quick response shortly after emailing support and posting here, and they said 'Since acquiring SquareOff, the Miko team has been working hard to resolve...', so stay tuned, and possibly email the support email your IndieGOGO info to get on the books! Def make sure you lookup your IndieGOGO info, not Kickstarter!

It's really disappointing. Waiting 6 years for a product and not getting it in the end is no small feat- especially when you invested in their project from the very beginning.

I backed Miko products on Kickstarter around six years ago, including Miko Neo and Square Off boards, but my order was never delivered. Despite waiting for years and trying to follow updates, I did not receive the products or a clear resolution. After Miko acquired Square Off, I expected transparency or fulfillment, but that never happened. This experience left me extremely disappointed, especially after trusting the brand based on earlier reviews. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Extremely disappointing
Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience
I backed the Miko Neo and Swap chess boards on Kickstarter almost 6 years ago. I paid in full and patiently waited, trusting the process as a supporter.
Unfortunately, the boards never arrived. Over the years there have been repeated delays.

I backed the Miko Neo and Swap boards on Kickstarter 6 years ago, and to this day, they have never arrived. It’s incredibly frustrating to see the company move on and even acquire Squareoff, yet there’s been absolutely no resolution or delivery of the products we supported. Backers have been left waiting with no clear communication, broken promises, and nowhere near the service we were promised. For a project that raised money through crowdfunding, this level of poor follow-through and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this company — they failed to deliver what we paid for.
