I have the same experience
I have the same experience. Stopped by for an oil change. There was no engine light on the time I dropped my key to them. After an hour wait, the customer service man told me your engine light is on. I said,” that’s ok.” Because Range Rover typical engine light warning doesn’t stay long. They on and off so often. But this time, the light is on permanent and my engine starts shaking unusual. I tried to look at engine and I found my hood latch handle missing too. I’m so upset to them. I’m done.

I came to this Mr
I came to this Mr. Tire location on November 21, 2025 for a simple oil change on my well-maintained 2017 Subaru BRZ. Manager Glen was immediately rude and resistant to processing my valid Fidelity Warranty service plan — I had to call Fidelity and hold my phone over the counter on speakerphone just to get him to do his job.33 days later my engine was destroyed. The authorized Subaru dealership formally documented in writing that the oil level was incorrect following Mr. Tire's service and caused catastrophic engine failure — $8,952.09 in damages.I filed a claim with their insurer Travelers Insurance. Denied.I have filed complaints with the Ohio Department of Insurance, the Ohio Attorney General, and Subaru Corporate. I am pursuing this in Franklin County court.I am a server. This set me back years. Glen didn't want to do his job that day and I'm paying for it.Other customers — check your oil level immediately after any service here.

Mr. Tire is a Scam company
Mr. Tire Review in Oaklyn NJ.I reviewed Mr Tire and got a response that said if I needed more assistance to call the "store owner." So I called and was put on the line with a technician (Todd?). Todd said the store didn’t operate like that being 'individually owned' as it's corporate. So he finally put me on with NOEL, an assistant manager who behaved unprofessionally, was defensive and laughed at the situation. Also, NOEL gave me a corporate phone number (800-297-9886) that did not help at all. Those folks had to give me a different phone number to call.MR. TIREs assistant manager Noel, argued that AUTOZONE was at fault for selling Mr. Tire defective sensors, as if we should take our complaint to AutoZone. The point of this review is Mr Tire does not support its customers. We bought four new sensors with our tires. They turned out to all be defective. Now here is what led to this situation. Now for the events that led to aforementioned. In August 2024 we needed new tires. The tires were original to our 2018 Subaru Outback. We took the car to the Glassboro Mr Tire and had all four tires replaced. The total was $1137. In November of that year we noticed the TPMS light continuously coming on, so we took the car back to the Glassboro Mr Tire and they recommended we replace one of the sensors so we did. The total was about $115.About 14 months later, it started happening again. So we brought it to the Oaklyn Mr Tire because we had moved. They checked the sensors and recommended that ALL 4 be replaced. They said they have to be replaced every couple of years. But that’s weird because we’re older and this has never happened to us in our entire lives before using Mr Tire. So I googled it and yes, tire sensors do go bad—every 6-10 years!! Not in 14 months!! They outlive the life of the tire!! The four new sensors cost us $595 instead of $460, which is the Glassboro location’s price multiplied by four. So far these tires have cost us $1847!!This is some kind of scam Mr Tire, especially the Oaklyn location, has running. We decided to have them all replaced because we were upset and didn’t know what to do. We should have just left. But when this happens again—and it will—we will go to Tire Kingdom or even the dealership just to be treated like human beings. We are so mad!! Don’t go to Mr Tire—it’s a scam company!!Due to Noel, I am posting this review online via social media.#mrtire #tireshop #tirerepair #tires #tireservice #tire

Ripoff. Buyer beware!
Brought my car in yesterday to have 2 tires mounted. I was quoted a price of $100. Fine. Left 3 HOURS later and was charged $300 for lug nuts that I showed the technician were worth $100 from auto zone. I could have purchased 2 brand new tires for $430. Buyer beware!!!

They scam people especially new customers
First time making an appointment on line at the one on west genesse st Syracuse and when I got there, the guy asked me my name, I said I had an appointment, he seemed not to know anything, didn’t ask what kind of oil I need, what services I needed, he didn’t take my name down or any info, just asked for the keys and said we call you when it’s ready, well they never called after 5 hours, went there n I feel ripped of for $106- oil change of course they saw a female - the guy was very unprofessional not so welcoming and I was so pisses off at the charge- for a simple oil change when I never paid that anywhere else, but bc I was recommended there I decided to try n now I will never go back. Beware MrTire auto centers
I purchased a groupon coupon for a 4 wheel alignment and verified before buying the coupon that they accept groupons and set the appointment. After i got up there they told me they only accept so many groupons per period of time and to come back in a month. I tried to contact Groupon but they don't have phone customer service so i sent an email and then called mt credit card company to dispute the purchase.

Overcharge to the point of SCAMMING!
My 84 year old mother was referred to Mr. Tire in Burlington, NJ by Autozone also in Burlington, NJ. She went to Auto Zone to have a brake light replaced. She was able to purchase the brake light at Auto Zone for $12.00 but they told her they do not do installations. She took the brake light up to Mr. Tire and the female manager on duty advised her they would not install a light purchased elsewhere, she would have to purchase from them and that the light and installation would cost her $222. WHAT????? I am thinking with prices like that .. they should be called Mr. SCAMMER. Walmart will install for about $15.00...I live in FL and she is in NJ and this just burns me that there are scammers and con artists who will take advantage of anyone who doesn't know or isn't able to do basics of car maintenance Shame on you! Needless to say.. SHE DID NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO THE REPAIR ..instead found a good Samaritan neighbor who did it for nothing and she gave him. $25. for completing the 10 minute job!! Thanks for nothing Mr. Tire!!

Good Company Gone to the Dogs
Have come here for years when cars out of warranty. It was really great, but, the corporation is in financial trouble and their response is, cut cut cut cut cut. There is no staff left. You can't sit in the lobby in our location (Amherst Ohio) and wait because there is no staff but no one tells you this. I was forced to walk home, over 1/2 mile, in a dangerous heat index, in pouring rain, with bad joints and $6000 hearing aids (70 years old) and when I contacted corporate their response was, we could send you a $35 store credit for your next visit. There will be no next visit.

Most Expensive Oil Change Ever.
I brought two VW Golfs to Mr. Tire (1728 Fordham Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC) in April for simple oil changes. I supplied my own oil and filters—just needed labor. Neither vehicle had any oil leaks beforehand, and no one mentioned anything about a leak during the service.Afterward, I noticed oil leaking from one of the cars (the Silver one). Took it back, was told there was no leak. Decided to check myself and found oil around the filter housing. A VW specialist confirmed the housing was cracked—cost me $1,173 to fix.Shortly after, the other vehicle (the Blue one) showed similar issues. Same story—leaking oil after the same technician worked on it. The Manager at that location, Kenneth, told me the technician had been let go. They acknowledged that both cars had the same failure, but they still haven’t taken responsibility. I’ve been chasing them for weeks with no follow-up.If something goes wrong here, don’t expect accountability. Still waiting on a proper resolution. Would not recommend.

I would stay far away from this Mr Tire…
I would stay far away from this Mr Tire in Union on Morris Ave. Mr Tire should read this review and find someone that can tend the counter most of the day and have some customer relation skills.I walk in ans waited at the counter for 20 minutes before the guy came out to speak to me about my seevice, he booked me in and I waited for 2.5 hours for my car to go in, which it very did. At that point, I just asked for my keys and left.Unfortunately I found this place on Groupon ans that was the first mistake.

very impressed by Mr Ed Magee
I am very impressed by service at Mr Tire Store 0659 in Aberdeen, MD. Mr Ed Magee, the Store Manager, is one of very few I ever met in this profession. He thinks for customers, rather than trying to rip off them. I visited him today with concerns about braking system of my 2011 Hyundai Sonata sedan. He started with a free thorough inspection then told me I could still save the rotors, which I expected to replace due to its long mileage. He addressed my pads and calipers by replacing with ceramic pads and reconditioning calipers, in addition to flushing the fluid, to ensure a new long life for my braking system. He told me my rotors still have enough thickness and don’t even have to resurface. This way, I ended up with significant savings in bringing my car’s braking system to new life. I can’t thank him enough. If the review system allows for more than 5 stars, I would give him 6 stars! I wish him good health in continuing his career., and wish to see him in my future visits to this store.

Deceptive Practices at Mr. Tire Burlington NJ
On Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 5 PM I arrived at the Mr. tire location in Burlington New Jersey at which point I answered the few preliminary questions including had I ever visited this location before my response was no. The young lady printed out the invoice, I reviewed it and I signed it. The sole reason for my coming to this location was because I purchased tires online and I came here to have them installed and balanced and the total was like 280+ dollars. When they brought my vehicle into the service area. They immediately popped the hood and began doing an inspection. The service attendant removed my air filter compartment. I went out and asked him. Why are they doing that? I only came here to have tires installed. the young lady at the desk, said that unless they do the complete inspection, they could not do the work that I had scheduled to have done. I find this to be very deceptive very Poor customer service and so I’m lodging this formal complaint. I believe this is called up selling and attempting to pressure customers into trying to get them to purchase services that are unnecessary and unwarranted.I am not sure that this is the practice at all Mr. Tire locations but I do not recommend this location. I will be spreading the word about this location to avoid it at all costs -literally. I feel violated.

My vehicle was serviced at 5545…

Horrible Service and Rude Employees
Horrible Service and Rude Employees. I went twice in a row to get my car inspected. First they told me I had two tires I need to replace, so I replace them and my headlight they said I needed. Brought my car back and told me I needed ANOTHER TIRE rather than telling me from the first time so I could've got everything in order and the lady at the front counter (much older lady) was rude and said "Well I wasn't here on saturday, so i dont know who waited on you and who didn't " Her response was not call for. I took my car elsewhere and PASSED with NO PROBLEMS. Mr. Tire will NEVER see my service again .

Fulton road Mr Tire is a joke
Fulton road Mr Tire is a joke. Took car there 2 times for check engine light. They said they repaired it twice, light still on. Now they tell me they don't know what is wrong and to take to dealer. Paid this shop 1400.00 to keep car 4 days and fix nothing. Corporate said I will get a refund when I supply a receipt of it being repaired. How can I do that when they took all my money. Don't go here, go to a real mechanic

Call center and mechanic not in good communication, so they cannot do appointments.
The mechanics are doing their best, but The call center and the mechanic facility are not in communication with each other. I made an appointment at 11:30 AM to be seen at 2 PM the same day. When I got to the facility, I was told they did not have a repairman to work on my vehicle until the next business day. Since I was not able to get a refund on my Groupon, I had no choice but to wait until the next business day. you should be able to get a refund if it’s not your fault as to why you can’t be seen at the time you scheduled the appointment for.

Enjoy the money you got!
Went in to get a nail removed and my tire plugged. I used them before. Now they got some gimmick that they have to replace your tire stem when they plug your tire (Which added an additional 20 dollar cost to the bill). I think I got taken for a ride. They need to inform customers of that fact before they plug their tire. I would have gone somewhere else had I known. Live and Learn. Buyer beware. They'll never get my business again.
