Avoid Nottingham cars.
I wish I had taken time to read reviews before purchasing. Few days after purchase steering rack making funny noises, car flooring adhesive gone, whole carpet keeps moving about, all plastic lining on door panel just keeps falling off like a fake adhesive was used. Whenever you ring them after a purchase they're always in a hurry to discharge you, worst for me I travelled down from another city, made it easy for them to be nonchalant. Will never purchase from them and I advise everyone to avoid them, and just to add, their cars are very expensive.

Excellent Dealership
On what is now my third purchase from Nottinghamcar.com over a span of 13 years dealing with the company, I couldn’t recommend them more highly. I’m thrilled with my new Mercedes C250D. A special thanks to Lucas who has made the last two purchases smooth and easy. A wonderful family run business that I will continue to use for any of my car buying needs. 10/10.

Horrible, terrible experience.
Bar Lucas, this company is just so poor in all areas. Below standard in every sense and I sold the car I bought in under a year. No care shown and it really was a worrying indignation of where we are in this country; Greed and false information over what matters, truly not worth it. Don't even bother lining the pockets of these types, truly, they don't deserve it. Eventually it will catch up, and karma will do its thing. Car was poorly kept, never fixed the numerous problems I had and even questioned my integrity and pushed another agenda, totally immoral and unprofessional, be wary and tread lightly, but just don't bother risking it.

Overpriced car dealer
Overpriced car dealer , no deals . They probably want to make 3k profit for a 2k invested for real . I can't believe how people can buy from them .

Great Car Dealership
Just bought a car from Nottingham Cars. Lucas was extremely good in helping us figure out what we wanted. There was no pressure to buy, and everything was very straightforward. We’ve bought a good car at a good price and would highly recommend anyone to visit and check out the huge range of cars from an honest dealer.

Nice sales team, dodgy mechanic
The customer facing sales guys seemed lovely and helpful, but the mechanical work is terrible. The car is supposed to have had a full service before you receive it, but mine was low on engine oil, coolant, brake fluid and windscreen washer. In fact, I’ve had to pay a local mechanic to flush out the entire coolant system, as it was just all rust.I got a flat tyre the day after collecting it, and found all tyres were under inflated.I had to take the car back during warranty to get a noise fixed that apparently was coming from the exhaust. The mechanic didn’t fix it properly the first time, so I had to go back a second time. On that second visit, the mechanic amazingly added engine oil… but overfilled it.Exhaust starting making a huge noise the other day. I took it to my local mechanic who’s just sent me a photo of a hole in the exhaust that had been bodged with filler. The filler had come loose, causing the noise. So basically, when this problem arose while the car was under warranty, Nottinghamcar.com put filler on the exhaust so they didn’t have to pay for a new one. And now I’m having to pay to get it fixed properly as I’m just out of the warranty period.Either the mechanic is a complete charlatan, or management are a bunch of scammers and telling him to do this kind of thing to save money.

Very pleased customer
I spotted the negative reviews here after my son had paid a deposit to buy a car from Nottinghamcar.com. This gave me ‘cold feet’ about the purchase, and particularly so as he works so very hard for his money. I lost some sleep that night. Another issue was that the car was being sold with no service history. I called the next day with a view to cancelling the order, even if this meant losing the deposit. I spoke to Lucas on ‘speakerphone’ with my son listening and then after the call we had a conversation about whether we should proceed with the purchase. As Lucas was so reassuring on the phone we decided to proceed and buy the car and now we are both very pleased that we did. The car is old but has a really low mileage and is in amazing condition for its age and is exactly what we wanted. Since the purchase we have begun gathering previous service history and had a professional mechanical check which leads us to believe that this vehicle it totally legit and a really good purchase for us.I will now keep a close eye on the Nottinghamcar.com website for a suitable car for myself.

Faulty vehicle fail
Lovely showroom, beware the veneer of glitz, promise, and respectability.I have purchased a vehicle from here that has a faulty gearbox. After returning the vehicle, I received prevarication and excuses. The vehicle was returned to me, unrepaired, untouched, with the same fault.I read your past reviews with interest.I cannot fail to note that you appear to deny responsibility, blame the customer, or have a director treat the customer rudely. In one case, a customer is accused of running a vehicle you supposedly serviced, without oil!Noting past reviews of faulty vehicles you have sold, and the obligation to refund/replace/repair within a reasonable period of time, without any cost to the customer and without causing them significant inconvenience. What is your businesses definition of a reasonable period of time for a refund/replacement/repair?If the customer needs to use the car for family, or work, how do you decide the inconvenience and the lack of a courtesy care causes if a car is returned to you?How long do you regard as a significant inconvenience?I believe you're answer, or lack of, will be informational to both past and future customers. You appear to have total disregard, and respect for any customer you have sold a faulty vehicle.THINK BEFORE PURCHASING A VEHICLE HERE!

Truly disappointed
Where do i start? i payed a deposit for a van over the phone and was going to drive 2 and a half hours to go collect it. Day before they ring me to tell me the clutch has gone and that they will now have to up the price. They upped the price of the van by 600. I went and bought the van still and ever since have had so many problems. Within 30 days the engine mount snaps on the van whilst driving. They made me pay to get the van recovered back up there. Then i had to make another 2 and a half hour trip back up there to collect it. Then about 3 months into owning the van the engine started losing water and overheated. Instantly stopped driving and got a auto mechanic out and was told the head gasket has gone and that there was evidence of sealant present. Meaning that someone was aware of this issue and made a dodgy attempt to temporarily fix it. I have contacted Nottingham car by email and recorded letter to which i have had no response. This vehicle was not fit for purpose and i am now having to take this further and go to court. I am 18 years of age and cant believe a big company like this would leave me in the dirt.

Where do I start
Where do I start? They didn’t want me to have the car from day one as I sourced my own finance. Every time I called they kept saying this man in Scotland wanted the car. (Too late). Deal was made, car paid out and I paid for delivery (I live in South Wales) and collection of my car as it was a px. Got a call asking the colour of my current car. Because it was blue they called it a “dud car” no one wants blue (more of a grey but Kia called it blue). Sorry not my problem as you accepted the car and funds have been paid. Got a call Monday before delivery at 2pm saying the man delivering and collecting the cars fell ill and there was no one to do the job. Now I have worked in the motor trade and there is always someone to do the job. (It’s not like it was supposed to happen that day they had 1 WEEK to sort it out). They again said the man in Scotland called and still wanted the car. Sorry why ? Why keep telling me as the finance has already been paid out! They then said I would have to wait 1 MONTH ! No chance not when the car has been paid for. So I said I’ll drive up and collect that day. (5 hours there and 5 hours back, not like I lived 30 mins away!). I said you need to send me back the funds I PAID for delivery and collection. They said not only on exchange of cars they would send the money. Sorry not my problem, I paid for a service you weren’t doing. So I got my finance company involved and guess what? *ping* money in my account. Got there at 8pm and the director of the company (as I went to his house) kept saying the issues with this Scottish man who wanted my car (I DONT CARE!) and kept saying how dirty my car was. Well you didn’t give me time to clean it did you?!!! I was getting it cleaned the day before collection but as you read it didn’t happen! Handover of the new car was non existent, just here are the keys off you go! Shocking service knowing I was driving 5 hours home!! Oh took 1 WHOLE WEEK to settle my finance on my old car which I was so worried about! Luckily the old owner of my new car looked after it so well I don’t have any issues with it. Avoid these rude people who only care about commission and themselves! Nathanial has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE skills whatsoever, he would even give McDonald’s a bad name!
