Good experience with PC
I took in my laptop for a debugging and formatting because it was really slow. I let my kids play with it for a while and they downloaded sketchy adware by mistake, which bogged down the computer hard drive I assume. Anyways, took it in and it was repaired efficiently enough. Did take a couple of days but it wasn't my main PC so I wasn't in a rush.

Length of time for computer repair
Very disappointed. My 10-month-old PC Laptops computer died without any warning. “No problem”, I thought. I have the PC Laptops lifetime service guarantee. I took the laptop to my local PC Laptops shop. The technician told me that it would take 2-3 business days to diagnose. Two days later, I called to see what information I could get. They hadn’t looked at it. Instead, the store manager proposed to upsell me into a better model. “Wait a minute”, I thought. This laptop is less than a year old and I paid $2,100 dollars for it. I opted to keep my laptop. The store manager said he would call me the next day to give me the laptop’s status. The next day came and went. No call. I called again to get the status of my laptop. The technician told me that the hard drive had failed. “No problem”, I thought. My data is backed up. Then the bad news. It would be two-to-four weeks to replace the hard drive. What!? You’re a laptop repair store. You don’t have a hard drive on hand? That makes no sense. A little back story. I have a second laptop – a Dell. I had a similar experience with it. The hard drive failed. However, within a week, Dell arranged for a technician to come to my home to fix the computer. So, now I’m wondering why I paid the high price for the PC Laptops lifetime service guarantee when I had a better service experience with the Dell. My wife and I always service our cars at the dealership for two reasons. They do the job fast, and it’s done right. As an example, at one point my Toyota Sequoia’s transmission died without warning. I had it transported to my Toyota dealership. It took one day to diagnose. It needed a new transmission. By day two my Sequoia had a brand new transmission and it was ready to roll. That’s service! And I’m willing to pay the additional price for outstanding service. This is the reason I purchased the PC Laptops computer. I expect service to be done fast and done right. In the end, PC Laptops took one day less than five weeks to install a new hard drive. That seems crazy to me, and completely unacceptable. Does PC Laptops expect people to be without their PC for a month? Could you be without your car for a month? I can’t recommend PC Laptops at this point.
