A Place That Has Completely Lost Control
I’ve been to this pub a few times, but after last night I’m never coming back. I could overlook the tiny, dirty bathrooms, but the overall experience has become unacceptable.The queues were ridiculous — to get in, to the bar, and especially to the cloakroom. The place clearly prioritizes profit over safety or quality. It was so overcrowded that getting to the upper floor was impossible; people were blocking the stairs, and the whole venue felt dangerously packed.Inside, there was chaos: extremely drunk and high people pushing, hitting others with glasses, and trash and broken glass everywhere. The atmosphere felt unsafe and poorly controlled.The worst part was the cloakroom. There was no system, people formed multiple queues, and when I asked security to organize it, they did nothing. The situation quickly became aggressive, with people shouting insults and behaving completely out of control.Overall, it felt like total chaos, and I absolutely cannot recommend this place.

Not for tourists. You get in, nobody tells you where to sit, ok, then you’re on the table nobody approaches, even tho they clear see you are a tourist and have no clue of how it works and your table is completely dirty, they don’t come to say you must order from the counter. Unfriendly waiters, felt even hostile. The Tuesday dj was nice and food was good. The cocktail 🍹 badly prepared, no shaking, only pouring all together and why to bother moving the foam right??? Liquid foam. BIG NO in Oslo. By the way, they ask you for tips when you order, before you actually get their service. A joke.

Horrible❗️ discrimination at it’s finest. They did not allow my friend to get in because he had sleeves tattoos. At the entre they even lifted my friends shirt up without his consent and to look at his belly to see if he had tattoos on his stomach in front of everyone. That is not ok at all.

Annual Christmas party, ejected from a booth of 7 onto a table, then 20 mins later ejected from the table, drinks taked away while security listened to our concerns. £46.10 of drinks taken away while we conducted ourselves properly. Disgusting behaviour of the manager, who was unresponsive. We left as the attitude was very poor, wouldn't leave us finish our drinks. I have requested a refund of our round but am not confident they will. Photographic evidence was seen as escalation by security, threatened me with a hard exit for photographing the people. Such a lovely venue and vibe but killed the mood and stole our drinks.

The experience was not even worth 1 star but given that it's the only option, it's what I HAD to choose. We were sitting in the bar's outside area, enjoying and PAYING for our drinks for a couple of hours, where around 22:00 we had to go to the bathroom. We were informed that we couldn't do that, as we haven't paid the mandatory entrance fee for wardrobe, EVEN THOUGH IT'S FREAKING SUMMER and we don't have anything to leave at the wardrobe!We were told by one of the waitresses that we could use our Nightpay subscription, as this usually covers establishments that uses its services. However, we were told that even though we had a free entrance, we couldn't enter Proud Mary because we had to pay for the again mandatory wardrobe, AGAIN even though it's freaking summer and there's nothing to be left at it!We just needed the stamp that could show that we paid 45dkk for absolutely nothing.So if you're looking for a nice place where you can spend some time with friends in the limited Danish summer days, I would NOT NOT recommend Proud Mary esp. after 22, because even though you'll be paying for your drinks, you won't have access to a toilet!!!The bouncers or security as they call them, have a terrible attitude towards their own customers and that's just NOT acceptable.When asked if I can speak with the manager, I was met with the security's most terrible attitude "Don't push it or else".I highly recommend you to stay away from this place, there are soooo many other bars, that care about their paying customers, sitting inside or outside!

Super bad experience. We came at around 20 we purchased drinks. At 22 we were refused access to the toilet without paying, even though we were customers. Really bad service and absurd behavior towards the guests….
