FRAUDSTERS

One star cse i couldn't put 0.I bought a car Black Merc PX13TMZ on the 19th of May. They told me the car would be ready in a week. After that it was stories after stories until i told them i wanted my Deposit back £1163 and its been 5 weeks of 'I'll be processed today and should have it tomorrow or check your account'. I bought the car via Choosemycar and have asked for help but nothing. Choosemycar managed to speak to the owner Richard and he blamed all on this Paul guy. I just want my money and move on. It was unfortunate I read the reviews after i had paid my deposit. They've paid back the finance but refusing to pay me😡😡😡😭. Don't use them.

Range Rover Vogue disappointment

Range Rover vogue delivered with illegally bald tyres, paint issues and no spare wheel and tyre.Promised money (£850) back to replace the bald tyres and have yet to see this money 6 month later. Have evidence of this conversation and still nothing from them. Very disappointed would not recommend

Read the 1 star reviews!

I'd recommend reading the 1 star reviews and avoid this garage. If you do choose to buy a car from them, check, and check again that any work they promise has actually been completed. I dealt with Clive and the owner, who promised to get work done on the car, and also provide a code for the stereo (battery had died) and "dig out l" the manuals etc. Friendly and really accommodating. Turns out they're stereotypical car salesmen. Later found out that the work hadn't been done and I chased been chasing them for 6 months. During this time I even had to drive back down there to sort this out, only to be told that Clive was not there today (I'd just seen him in the workshop) and be faced with an owner who became confrontational and made promises which, I could of predicted, were not kept and I had to keep chasing them.At the same time a couple were there who had called and arranged a time to look at a car, driven miles, only to be told the car had been sold. Eventually traded the car in at a reliable dealership (£2k loss!) as it started having so many problems that I knew it was going to be a money pit.Ironically, my father in law found a Range Rover he was interested in, and sent the link to me. Spotted it was from there so he'll be looking elsewhere. Glad I could help at least 1 person avoid their bad service

I bought a 2016 Rangerover vogue…

I bought a 2016 Rangerover vogue Autobiography in july 2021 for £36,000 cash and was promised the best warrenty, excellent car ect. when the car arrived as i bought it of the internet (without seeing it) and the car was as described except the back light had water in it. i contacted them and told them, and also, no logbook, service history, headphones or spare key was in the car. they said, we will look into it. then after a day of driving, low coolant level popped up. i contacted them because every couple of days, coolant would empty. 3 month later, still no reply, still none of the above so i had to contact DVLA myself to get the logbook and wait 8 weeks, contact RR to get service, pay £1200 to get waterleak fixed, and after 100s of attempts to contact Racecourse Garage, still nothing. I would stay away from this company at all costs. You pay top price for your car, then noting else from these cowboys. i have also contacted Trading Standards as i wouldnt of paid £36000 for a car with, no logbook, no spare key, no warrant, no S/H ECT. BEWARE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

It is a shame I have to select 1 star…

It is a shame I have to select 1 star for this review. This company is not worthy of it! They are cowboy's and complete and utter 'crooks'. My husband purchased a range rover sport in August 2020. A day after purchase, the engine management light came on. I then challenged the MOT as the suspension was creaking, break discs warped and barely any meat left on the pads. Seatbelt completely torn - dodgy MOT springs to mind? The garage apparently completed all work and put it back through MOT. The car has spent more time in the garage than it has on the road. Car was apparently serviced before sale. It wasn't. Fuel filter needed replacing a couple of days after purchase which is s part that gets changed at point of service. Since purchase, the car has done just under 3000 miles and we have just paid £6000 due to the amount of repairs it needed. This is on top of the £15999 we paid for the range rover. This vehicle has been into a Landrover specialist but Racecourse garage have said it is 'surface rust', even though the trained specialists have put a report forward stating this not to be the case and have listed that the vehicle is 'severely corroded'. I have so many pictures/reports proving just how bad this garage are. I warn all of you reading this review to NEVER buy a car from these cowboys, especially not a range rover. The one sold to us must of been battered by previous owners. In this day and age, I think it is appalling that car garages can get away with this. I will be pursuing a legal case against this garage and will not stop until they foot the bill! Almost a year later, their still advertising our range rover for sale on their website! False advertising! They also advertised our range rover as lower mileage than it actually was. Shocking! I have already sought advice from my Local MP who will take this to parliament. I have also appointed a solicitor. They will not get away with this! Salesman named Clive talks so much cods wallop - its actually laughable! COWBOYS! CROOKS! STAY AWAY!!!!

All seamed ok at first

All seamed ok at first, Richard was very charming whilst I was buying a vehicle but he soon turned out not the be the person I thought her was. When I bought my car from this garage and part exchanged my old car, I thought it would be straight forward but that’s not been the case. They took all the documents including service history and promised to inform the DVLA of the change of ownership 6 months later I have received 4 letters informing me to tax the vehicle and a £100 fine for no insurance call after call to both Richard and the garage and they still refuse to put things right I would never ever deal with is garage or Richard again once he has your payment your just another sale so be warned stay away

Excellent Customer Service

We experienced an excellent customer experience - from the moment we identified a suitable Evoque - having been let down badly by a different dealership - to the moment we collected the car, Racecourse Garage (in particular, Joe) could not be more helpful. Everything exactly as it says on the tin and they even stayed open into the night to accommodate collection. The Evoque is great but cars do go wrong - they are a machine after all - however, we believe we will be supported by the dealership if anything unforeseen happens. Recommended for no-nonsense, value for money vehicle purchase!

Freelander 2

Having purchased an 8 year old low mileage freelander for £11,500 I could not of imagined just how bad the after care Could be The day I purchased the car it came to in a very dirty condition inside and out So had to clean it myself the next day COVID 19 protection just wasn’t on their agenda On driving home the car drifted Across the lanes on the motorway and it banged loudly every time it went over a small bumpThey agreed to have the car back But couldn’t see it for a week Issue, the break pads were so low that they were dangerous. Bad wen you consider that the car came to me straight from it having a new MOTThe passenger side was also quite badly marked and had three small dents and when I pointed it out to James the second day after purchase I was told they would sort it out. However, James is currently on holiday so when I arrived to have the repair done this morning I was confronted by a rather obtuse person who said I’d don’t want to waist your time but we won’t do anything with that. I asked why and he responded saying that it’s an old car I reminded him that i purchased the car at a premium price As was told By staff that My car was the best on the lot, it was in beautiful condition and with low mileage was hard to come by to whit he said I don’t know what your complaining about it’s a good car and we won’t do carry out any repairs on the side.I said I would return the car and have my money but but he just turned his back to me and walked away I threatened to go to Trading Standards and he said we won’t take take back and went back into his office Please people learn by my mistake and give this garage a wide birth

Please avoid this garage - completely untrustworthy

Please avoid this garage. They are helpful and friendly to start with but are in reality unscrupulous, ignorant and to top it off, morally bankrupt.I paid a £200 deposit prior to the coronavirus lockdown and had not been able to see the car due to the travel restrictions. I have then had bad news about my job so had to pull out of the purchase, assuming in such circumstances the garage would refund my deposit. Not so, they wont even respond to emails. There are lots of genuine dealers out there, use them. Avoid such unscrupulous and unpleasant individuals.Shocking customer service. Its not a surprise all other reviews are so bad! I wish I had looked at the reviews prior.

As unprofessional as you can get

I bought my car four months ago. After putting the deposit down on the Monday and waiting until the Saturday the pick up the car I arrived at the garage and they were still trying to get hold of the owner to find out where the log book, spare key and service history was. After waiting around the dealership for around an hour I was promised that they would send the stuff through the post as soon as they could get it from the owner (it was the owners, daughters car previously). Some dealership not having everything ready to sell with the car.Four months later, un-answered emails and countless calls to the garage and I still have nothing. Every time I ring there is different excuses in a bid to get me off the phone ASAP. “It’s in the post”, “call back in a week”, “I’ll speak to the owner later on”, “DVLA asking for more information”. I have called DVLA before these excuses who say there’s no document of them requesting new log book. They’re full of lies and the after customer care is appalling. This was my first experience buying a car from a dealership and it has been horrendous. It’s a shame as the cars nice but I’m failing to enjoy it as it reminds me that I still haven’t got anything that was promised with the sale. A 7 year old car with no service history and the fear or loosing my only key or locking it in the car. Rather than make up lies I’d prefer them tell me that they don’t have the spare key or service history and tell me to pay the £25 to get the new log book myself, not that I should have to! I’ve waited 4 months before writing this review in hopes of getting my things but have lost hope. All it would have taken is for someone to take ownership of the problem and you would have had a happy customer. The add said that it had full Audi service history and the salesman said they have a spare key. I don’t think they have any and that they have miss-sold me the car.STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!Note to dealership: I’ll be happy to take a call from you to rectify this issue. It’s gone on long enough and if you cared for your customers, now would be a great time to call and explain what is happening with no BS.
