I’ve had the most upsetting situation…
I’ve had the most upsetting situation with this shop… I’m in Ireland and they’re in Australia… I knew I had tax to pay and when the item arrived the tax was far higher than anticipated as the tax was put on the item and the shipping. I called the shop and they said it would be no problem to return the item - so based on that I asked DHL to return item. There would be no cost incurred by ricarda for this either. A few days passed and I received prompts from DHL to pay duties and they said ricarda refused to accept the item back. I called a few times and didn’t get clear answers (the right person was never available) and eventually I was told that they made a mistake and that in their terms and conditions is says they don’t give refunds if duties aren’t paid. And I explained that I didn’t realise this and I was told that I could get a refund so I was extremely upset and confused by the situation and despite the fact that they were wrong and they had told me it would be no problem they suddenly decided that they wouldn’t do that. The product I was buying was very expensive and the tax was very expensive too so out of spite they refused to allow me to return them and said if I did, they wouldn’t give me my money back. I asked for the owner of the shop to contact me which she wouldn’t, and now I’ve had to pay this out of nothing but spite. I would encourage nobody outside of Australia or even in Australia to shop here because their policies are so bad. And the owner is so awful to customers.
