They are the worst recruiters - super rude, unprofessional and inefficient. Shame on ServiceNow for hiring them for their job placements. This is the strongest indicator that ServiceNow itself is a terrible place to work in 2025 and beyond

Our company had recently switched to smart recruiter website as the only way to hire new starters. It’s been a really hard time to be a hiring manager in this company. As others have said, not only is the layout of the website unnecessarily complicated for both the person applying and the person hiring. Everything is unnecessarily complicated and takes way too much of your time. It shouldn’t take 2 weeks, 4 phone calls (1 hour on hold each time) and countless emails to get one minimum wage employee on the rota. We’ve gone backwards. I’ve lost two people so far who have given up on us as the whole thing took too long to get them onboarded. Smart recruiter is not a fitting name for this website and I’d discourage anyone thinking about using them

Pretty sure this recruiter is nothing but a scam. I’ve applied for several Amazon DSP positions, and get emails to schedule an interview. You can never schedule an interview it is met with a no time slots available error on every job they tell you to schedule an interview for. Trying to work not be given false hope.

The SmartRecruiters platform makes job applications unnecessarily difficult. The layout is unintuitive, and the autofill feature from CV uploads often produces spacing issues and incorrect data transfer. These problems create extra work for candidates and give a poor first impression of the hiring process. I’ve often heard from others, and agree myself, that if SmartRecruiters is the only option, it can discourage applicants from completing their applications.

Lately I've noticed every job application on every website is through commission of SmartRecruiters. The layout of the applications is incredibly bad. Just god-awful. Truly the worst possible layout that could have been chosen. The auto-fill from CVs spits out incomprehensible details so it requires you to go through the whole application again to fix it. One might as well do the whole thing from scratch; so, useless feature. It also encourages possibly the most time wasting and despised practice in all of job applications - having to essentially fill out a whole job application on the webpage and then also have to upload your CV. Employers should just read the CV - all the details are in the carefully curated CV. Please don't make us have to fill this out every time. People looking for work need to fill out dozens, sometimes hundreds of these. It is an incredibly poor use of our time. In fact, it is a waste of time. One star.

Support from the platform is not available when you need it
I tried logging into my account and was prompted that I needed to update my password, so I followed the steps and received an error message that only said "Something went wrong." After trying a different option, I still received an error. Then I tried the "Forgot Password" and used the link to reset, but I got the same error. I attempted to contact support by chatting on their site and was prompted to email a support address because I was having password issues. The autoreply I got back immediately from that address was that as of 2023 (it's mid-2025 now!) you have to log into the customer portal to submit your issue. This is challenging when I'm not able to log in. So I tried chatting again and was told that only a system administrator can actually submit the issue. It's frustrating that a company that on it's support site proclaims "Dedicated support, training and services to help you achieve your recruiting goals any day, any time" has put up so many barriers to getting support simply to log in.

I just don’t know why I turned out applying to this company after I click indeed recruitment emails. Be careful if you are registered with recruitment agencies and this company came in your emails.

I saw an opening at a company on LinkedIn. I thought I was applying with this company but it was Smart Recruiters instead. Their ridiculous application process wanted me to agree to their 'terms and conditions' but didn't lead with we are not "X company." They also wanted me to acknowledge receiving an NDA that I didn't even receive so I could even submit the application. I would not use their company because it is deceptive and unprofessional.

I lost my job 5 days before Christmas. Consoled myself by thinking I'd soon get another one - in fact I had seen the perfect position on SmartRecruits.I did my cv, attached the info, press the button and got an email back to say I'd applied.Except this was just a scraped job that was months ago and if I hadn't called the company direct I'd never have known. Just waited week by week. This is an awful practice. SmartRecruits are an awful company. Don't use them. Go direct to the company.

Applicants seem less supported than companies
Looked like a good portal initially, but once I applied for more than 2 roles, the older ones disappeared. What is the point of a system that tracks your applications in one place if it is limited to 2 applications only? They do not have an easy way to contact support at all, their contact methods are aimed at their sales efforts, they don't seem to care to support applicants using their portal. All their support links are directing you to their community portal, where you cannot login or register as an applicant. I think that is only to be used by companies who are their client. Since applicants can create an account with them they should offer to them too, not just the users of their paying customers.*Update: I've managed to find a support email for applicants, I let them know the problem, they replied promptly letting me know that they know about it. 10 days later I got a follow up email advising me that the bug is fixed.
