Retainers break quicker than most and warranty is a hoax
"100% Satisfaction Guarantee" is marketing, not policyI ordered custom retainers from my own molds in May 2025 ($157.50). They cracked in half after about five months of normal nightly use. Their website says retainers can "last up to five years" and are made from "the highest quality material available." Mine lasted roughly 8% of that.When I contacted them, they blamed user error — grinding, improper cleaning, improper removal — with zero evidence I did any of those things. A retainer splitting in half during routine use is a material defect, not a mystery to speculate about.Their resolution? A 35% coupon — the same promotional discount they offer everyone. Their Satisfaction Guarantee page promises to "remake the product or come up with a solution that works for both parties." Asking me to pay more for another product that might fail just as fast is not that.Their warranty language is also designed to confuse — a 90-day "Perfect Fit Warranty" and a 6-month refund window on the same page, giving them room to deny claims under either timeline depending on what's convenient.I escalated in writing. They never responded. I had to resolve this through my credit card company, who reimbursed me in full — which tells you everything about who was right here.If your order arrives fine, you'll probably be happy. But if something breaks, expect blame-shifting, a generic coupon, and silence when you push back.

It took a few attempts to get the impressions right so be prepared for delays, but once the impressions were approved I was happy with my retainers and saved money. Customer service was great. Highly recommend.

Good product, awkward ordering
4/5. They are legit, offer a good quality product, and customer support is very responsive (thanks Leanne!) However, their ordering system could use some improvement. It was unclear how to upload my STL files, and eventually involved sending customer support a Google Drive share link(!) My retainers took a full month to finally arrive, but I was happy with them when they did.

Agree with the other reviews, this company is a scam. They reject your impressions saying they are "unusable" for whatever reason, only to say you have to buy more products to redo them. We did impressions twice and each time there was something wrong with them even though they looked the same. Save your money on a more reputable company or better yet, go to your dentist!10/13 - The company reached out to me and offered to send more materials for another impression. I have updated the review to 3 stars for their effort to work with me to make things right.

The process is super easy—just take your impressions at home, send them back, and within a couple of weeks you get custom retainers that fit perfectly. Honestly, the quality is just like what I used to get from my dentist, but for way less money.I’ve saved a lot by going through SportingSmiles instead of making an appointment and paying dental office prices. The AMAZING customer service. They always get back with me the next business day. I had a retainer that cracked and they were able to replace it that one also cracked and they made the second one a little bit stronger and durable and it fits perfectly. I already had my dental molds and needed a new retainer. After searching online, SportingSmiles was one of the few places that could make retainers from an existing mold. I placed an order, and they sent me a label to ship them in. It took about a week to make the retainers and just a couple of days for shipping. The fit is perfect, and the material looks identical to what I got from my dentist. Best of all, I saved $400 compared to what my orthodontist quoted.

Impossible to get impressions correct BUT send in digital copies & they will get it RIGHT

I should have sent digital copies of my daughter's teeth a long time ago, instead of wasting everyone's time on doing the impressions at home myself. If you have the digital scans send those in and save yourself A TON of time! I am extremely happy with the outcome!** update,The company is willing to work with me provided that I share the digital files with them (impressions do not seem to be working for me). Once I send in the digital scans I will update my review again. I am hopeful for a positive outcome. I have done around three impressions because they were NEVER usable according to them. I am cutting off any future subscriptions. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. You will be wasting your money on never ending impressions. Just go to the orthodontist and have it done right. I am reporting this company to my bank for fraud as they never sent the product that I paid for. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I'm so glad I found SportingSmiles! I've been grinding my teeth and wearing Invisalign retainers for the past 8 years, but they only last me about 6 months replacing them was getting expensive. After seeing recommendations on Reddit and reading solid reviews, I decided to give SportingSmiles a try. A lot of people mentioned issues with taking impressions, but I had no problems. The retainers fit perfectly, and after 8 months of use, mine still looks great. It's way more convenient (and affordable) to order online than having to book a dentist appointment every time I need to go!

Deffinetely a scam. Spent over 250€ for a custom mouthguard and retainers, they send me retainers with the wrong teethimpression and mouthguard that Cuts into my gum and is not Customized. Then they refused to refund me and ingored my attempts to clear the problem with Paypal customer Service. Please dont be as stupid as me and warte your money

I used Sporting Smiles to get a replacement retainer after my original one from my orthodontist broke. My orthodontist was charging $250 per retainer, so I started searching for a more affordable option. I still had the original impression from when my braces came off, taken when my teeth were perfectly aligned, so I wanted to reuse that instead of making a new one, especially since I had gone a few weeks without wearing a retainer.Sporting Smiles was the only company I found that allowed me to send in my own mold. After purchasing, they sent me a prepaid mailing slip. I just picked up a padded envelope from Walmart and dropped it off at my local USPS. About two weeks later, I had my new retainer. Even better, they keep my mold on file, so I don’t need to send it again if I ever need a replacement in the future.One thing I will say: take good care of your retainer. If you bend it, it can break. But the quality and customer service from Sporting Smiles is fantastic. Evan, the rep I worked with, was super helpful and always responded within a few hours or by the next day.Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable retainer!
