Fees consistently get raised with no notice
The representative who sells you the system will undoubtedly be friendly, but once you are locked in they will consistently raise their fees with no prior notice. Don't think you will save overall fees with this company.

Do Not Trust Stax and Fiserv
My company had a VERY disappointing experience with Stax and Fiserv which has cost our company thousands of dollars.We had a spammer attack our business 1/2/26 and attempt to register for our program over 20,000 times. This resulted in our account being frozen with Stax, Authorize, and Fiserv so we could not provide any refunds, or process any transactions. We contacted Stax and tried to start the process of resolving this issue. It took stax days to respond and they did not offer any help. Our ticket was then escalated to Katherine. We set up a phone call with her on 1/13 for the next day (1/14). We did not receive a call and we followed up, she stated her meeting ran late and she would call shortly. I made another appointment for 2:15 and we did not receive a call. We requested to be connected with a supervisor which Katherine refused. Katherine told us to contact Fiserv as the block was coming from them, but Fiserv would not speak with us and would only speak with stax. We were unable to resolve the issue on our own. We then waited another week to get an answer from Stax/Fiserv. My management left a review on here and we were only contacted AFTER they read our review to try and convince us to remove the review. They FINALLY found the issue after this and after ONE MONTH of not being able to refund customers, we were able to access that feature again. We had to switch from Authorize to Stripe to be able to continue our business. During that month, we were notified of a chargeback due to not being able to refund anyone. We were charged $15 on stripe for the chargeback PLUS an international card fee. When I tried to speak to Authorize, Stax and Fiserv, they said there was nothing they could do and we would just have to accept the chargeback and pay the fees, even though it was not our fault that we could not provide the refund. In early February, $18,000 was taken from our bank account due to the processing fees associated with the fraud attempt. Fiserv and Stax will not respond to our emails to discuss these fees. These fees were due to Fraud and they will not provide a refund or discount even though it took them over ONE MONTH to resolve this issue. Do not trust this company with your business. They do not care about your business and will take months to find the issue they created.

Do not recommend Stax
My small business was the vicim of a cyber attack on our payment system and Stax shut down our payment processing despite explaining the full situation to them. It has now been almost a month of being unable to accept transactions or process refunds for our customers.Stax is very slow to respond (does not call when we book an appointment, even though we were told to book an appointment), keeps handing the issue to other customer service reps, and refuses to escalate it to anyone higher up to help.We will be canceling our account in full with Stax and have moved to a different payment processor. Do not work with them if you want to actually be able to handle transactions without any issues.

Stax has been great, and we have really appreciated using your services over the past two years. However, recently when trying to get support or assistance, it has been difficult to get help. I would really like to continue using your service, but I may not have a choice but to consider switching to a different company if this issue persists.I just wish customer service would be more willing or able to assist when issues arise. Overall, we have never had a problem, but when I look for answers now, it seems there is no one available to take calls and emails are the only option.
