Having been let down by Curry's and…
Having been let down by Curry's and then AO (see my scathing 2018 review..) I just had Stewart and Young deliver a Bosch washer to my rental flat. The delivery guys phoned ahead as promised which gave me time to cycle over and meet them. All good.

First Vist 5 * Second Visit 0*
I've give 3 stars because my first experience was 5* but the second was 0*.I have always bought electrical goods at John Lewis but had a bad experience with a washing machine so I decided to shop locally. I was recommended to this shop by my daughter. I was served by an extremely helpful man & purchased a Bosch fridge freezer. The delivery men were excellent & refused a tip. When I needed a new oven I returned but unfortunately the man that had served me previously wasn't there. A much older man 'helped' me, I gave the measurements & price range. He immediately showed me an oven that was far too wide & was very expensive. He then showed me another oven which was also unsuitable. At this point he said "I'll leave you to look around". I was shocked & disappointed. I won't return. I bought a Beko oven online. I don't remember the date so I've estimated.

Oven and Toaster fixed
I have used Stewart and Young twice in the last three months.Firstly, they repaired a 31 year old Dualit toaster for me. This is the third time they have fixed it. In the last twenty years. Heating elements twice and timer switch once.Secondly, they repaired my Neff oven for me today. The fan element had broken. They told me last week that Graham would be with us this morning and he was. I was a little worried about the kitchen as it had only been installed last summer. Graham had an "Oven Bench" . This is used to rest the oven on when the oven is taken out of the cabinet. Who would have known one of those existed. The element was replaced and the oven went back in without a mark to a cabinet. In fact Graham put the oven back in better than it had been previously installed.

Electrical everything, good value and professional!
Absolutely 10 out of 10. Friendly, very helpful and extremely experienced local company. Me, and my parents have favoured them for many years. Superb knowledge, caring and truly do go out of their way. Price alongside larger outlets too! Thoroughly recommend. Thank you S&Y. Date of service is approx.

Great service and price
After Amazon let me down delivering a dishwasher, I tried a Stewart & Young, thinking it would be good to give business to a local company. I phoned them up, and they were a pleasure to deal with, helping me choose an alternative model at a competitive price with a great warranty.I needed it to be installed - it was a fully integrated model - and they offered that service including taking away the old dishwasher and all packaging. The installer was very friendly and did a great job of fitting and testing the machine. All in all I was very happy, and wouldn’t hesitate using them again compared to the flaky online providers. It was such a refreshing change to deal with an intelligent, knowledgeable, helpful person at the other end of the phone - I don’t experience that so often nowadays!

I have always had a very good…
I have always had a very good experience with this company and have purchased various products over the years. Always efficient and knowledgeable and competitively priced. However a month ago they recommended a refrigerator repair man (callout £60) who, without even looking closely, promised me my 19 year old Liebherr refrigerator was not worth repairing and would cost a minimum of £800. This was going to involve some serious kitchen replanning as both fridge & freezer are now a non-standard size. So Liebherr themselves sent their recommendation who made a repair for £250.A £60 charge for the wrong information. Not helpful at all.
