The mattress topper is the worst thing I have ever bought . It have never had back ache in bed before but sleeping on this topper was really painful . I ached everywhere , some days I actually limped as I got out of bed . Complained to the company who said it was a “firm “ topper ??? I thought the idea of a topper was to soften your mattress not make it firmer . Terrible customer service , not interested in my genuine complaint , It was absolute waste of money . I seriously question all these 5 star reviews !!!
Ordering and delivery was fine. I washed the robes before use has recommended to do which was fine. Upon wearing a royal blue one that I ordered there were a lot of loose threads which I thought was very poor,on continued wearing there were more loose threads every time I wore it, i complained about it they were very polite but said i should the threads of but there were so many that i pulled some out which caused ladders. I just think they are of poor quality and not thick enough to prevent it from pulling out so easily.
Bought a bathrobe for my client,was far too big,need to send back and get refund, have emailed company and no response at all,not a good way to run a business
Ordered 2nd October delivered 4th October.. exactly what I hoped and reasonable quality for money. I will use this company again.

If l could l would give zero stars!I won’t bother to return the sheet, and will never buy from them again. I can’t believe the idiotic reasoning that the sheet will fit the mattress! The sheet is poor quality, the staff are incompetent, the manufacturing shoddy. I ordered a brushed cotton double sheet 75”x54” (elasticated all round)When l received their sheet l found that it would not fit the mattress: the sheet is actually 71” long, not 75” as described on their website!! How can 71” length of sheet be stretched to fit 75” length mattress?? The amount of sheet to be tucked under would be reduced. Their reply: “Thank you for providing this information. The sheet purchased is designed to fit a standard UK double size mattresses, 54” x 75” + 12” depth.I understand your mattress has a 6” depth. The sheet purchased will still fit. Please proceed to send the sheet back to us for a refund.”
i ordered 3 king size brushed cotton bed sheets thinking i was buying from a good company with its own factory which i dont think they have as the only contact is a p/o box ,arrived with a duty paid from turkey in bad packaging plastic wrap i chopped them up to make dusters for polishing my cars could not be bothered trying for a refund ,overpriced rubbish
Awful quality - just opened some pillowcases bought in the Christmas sales (so cant return) - massive hole in one! Avoid.
Ordered two of the super jumbo towels which arrived promptly. Fabulous quality and absolutely enormous but sadly too big for us so had to return. This was dealt with promptly and efficiently with a full refund. No hesitation in recommending the company or the product but suggest you carefully assess the size of the towels as they really are huge!
AVOID! They admitted purposely sending me the wrong item, as what i ordered wasnt actually in stock. Then insisted i investigate why they couldnt find the return despite courier confirming return delivery. Continue to decline a refund for the return they arranged. Unscrupulous, lazy people.
Very poor quality tea towels. On arrival they had threads hanging and were not as thick as I thought they’d be but I washed all 8 tea towels twice before using - the lint/fluff was terrible coming off and sticking to my crockery/cutlery. I re-washed several times again. The absorbency is absolutely non existent - they DONOT dry and keep shedding fine red fluff on my worktop, cooker splashback and I’ve even found it on the patio where I’ve hung them out to dry. I emailed them to say they were NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, we’re useless as drying up tea towels and asked them for my money back. They emailed back to say that new towels carry additional lint and high quality towels ( I wish) may require as much as 10 washes and dry cycles before the lint reaches the normal level. They suggested I use white vinegar with each wash and the shedding will stop or significantly reduce! I responded by saying none of this information was provided and to be honest I’ve never had to do this with any towels I’ve ever bought before- I’ve only ever pre-washed before use. I’ve bought three bottles of white vinegar and washed the towels in excess of 10 times now and they are still shedding excessive amounts of very fine fluff onto crockery, worktops etc. Apart from the cost of water, electricity etc these are hardly environmentally or financially friendly towels BUT even more worryingly is the fine thread which we could be ingesting- I keep finding it everywhere! Therefore I think they represent a health hazard and can not use them. Like other reviewers I had no response to my second email! This is NOT a company I would recommend- they clearly have no interest in their customers. I normally read reviews before I buy products but unfortunately this time I didn’t read the Trust Pilot reviews!!
I ordered a bathrobe going by their sizes. Prompt dispatch and quick delivery. It arrived and I tried it on, all good.As per their instructions to wash before first use I did that.A 40 degree wash.Went to put it on this morning and it has shrunk beyond belief. Sleeves barely cover my elbows, waist does not overlap now and belt far too short!I’ve emailed asking to exchange (as I’ve washed it) waiting a reply. I’ll update this review accordingly.
Ordered 2 superking fitted sheets at a cost of £50+. Arrived and they're way too big for a superking mattress. I emailed them and they took 6 days to respond telling me I have to wash them first, then they'll fit!! I've never heard anything so stupid and ridiculous in my entire life. I don't want to and shouldn't have to wash brand new sheets in the hope they'll shrink to fit.... bonkers. This is what was in their response'Our product specialist has now come back to us regarding your enquiry with the following information: Please note the flannelette fitted sheets are to be washed before first use.The size given by the customer equates to 74" x 85".Size listed at our site is 72" x 80". The sheets are manufactured to this size to allow for the following to occur:Upon washing there will be an initial shrinkage of 5-7%.'Their customer service is diabolical and I would avoid like the plague I'm reporting them now to their local Birmingham trading standards
I was a little worried after ordering and then reading all the reviews on here afterwards. I need not have worried though as I have had a positive experience. The towels I ordered are absolutely massive!! I ordered the 200x150 size and they are huge!! They were delivered well within the timeframe and arrived in tip-top condition. They're not as thick as what I expected, but they are definitely value for money.
Ordered a hooded towelling robe for my dad and read these reviews after, was absolutely dreading its arrival as it wasn't cheap!Fabulous quality, no issues at all!Arrived early and well packaged!
Cheap thin and scratchy bathrobe, buy elsewhere these are poor quality
An update on my purchase of towels from House of Emily. I sent an email stating the problem - 5 towels were frayed at the edges & threads pulled. Terrible quality. They got back to me asking for order number, which I sent. Then asked for photos of towels which I sent. Then asked for breakdown on which towels were affected. So I guess I’m not getting a refund unless I take multiple photos with measurements. Towels will go in the bin, I can’t offer them to my guests. Never again.
We had a terrible experience with thehouseofemily. Bought 2 bath robes one is fine the other isn't fit for purpose, can't be used. It loses fluff all the time and like very dusty. We had been in contact with them, all they say is washing instructions. Best thing for it is to be returned as it can't be used as what it was bought for.
AVOID ORDERING FROM THESE.. FAULT WITH A DRESSING GOWN AND THEY REFUSED TO HELP IN ANY WAY ! NO REFUND NOT EVEN A GOOD WILL GESTURE.. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HOUSE OF RIPOFF AGAIN
