I used the Toast platform to order delivery from The Kitchen at Priest Ranch, and it was a complete disaster. Half of my order was missing—including basic essentials like napkins and utensils—yet I was charged the full amount.The most frustrating part is the absolute lack of accountability. When I reached out to resolve the issue, the restaurant blamed Toast, and Toast told me to contact the restaurant. As a customer, I am stuck in a loop with no way to get a refund for food I never received.Toast's system clearly doesn't have a reliable way to handle order errors or protect diners from being overcharged for incomplete meals. If you value your money and actually want to eat what you paid for, think twice before using this platform for delivery."

Please do not use this company. PLEASEEEEEE. Consider this your sign. We were with square and only switched to be able to use their kiosks and inventory and its been nothing short of HELL. If you have an issue be prepared to talk to multiple different people maybe 3-12 people, none of which will resolve your issue. They do not speak the English language making it even more difficult to understand and resolve issues. We have on-going issues for approx. 2 months without a resolution. Take this as a warning. I wish we never switched.

We attempted to place a breakfast delivery order and had four different drivers accept and then cancel the order one after another. When we called the restaurant, they told us someone had already picked up the order and that they just told another delivery driver who just arrived to inform them that our order had already been taken. We never received the food.Trying to resolve the issue was incredibly frustrating. The whole platform is janky in itself. Toast was very difficult to reach, and once we finally connected with customer service, we were told that the restaurant needed to contact them directly to process a refund. This was confusing, as the restaurant had just told us that the refund should be handled by the platform through which we placed the order.The entire process took hours, and we were ultimately left without our order or a clear resolution. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be ordering through Toast again.

Toast capital isn’t the best
Toast capital is only good for expansion takes a lot of your money out of your sales and doesn’t leave you with any profit which is an a problem because it does say upfront that it will take 13% of your daily transactions. However to refinance I got denied to lower my percentage to something reasonable, you would think if they wanted you to stay in business they’d help you refinance to something more reasonable. They also make money off of your processing fees, so you think that they want you to stay in business.

Toast delivery drivers don’t care about your food
I order through toast for the first time, from the same restaurant I ordered from multiple time through other services, we’ll leave them unnamed, all because it was the preferred app, I ordered a large pizza with ground beef. My pizza arrived on time, but the driver clearly drop the pizza at some point in time as the toppings were completely displaced, like in the corner of the box and not on the now tomato pie. The only reason for the one star is due to the refund that toke an additional 20 mins to get!

The customer service agent was so rude. I could not purchase this package under any circumstances. I couldn't fathom doing so for a plethora of reasons. I'm extremely disappointed at the level of service I received. Do not waste your time. I do not recommend this at all!

Seven Months Waiting for a Refund That Never Came
Our company had an extremely negative experience with TOAST.Last summer, we entered into a contract with TOAST for their POS system and paid both a deposit and the first payment. Within the first two weeks, we cancelled the contract and formally requested a full refund of both amounts, fully in line with the contractual terms. No services was provided from Toast side.More than seven months have passed, and no refund has been issued — neither the deposit nor the first payment. During this entire time, TOAST representatives have repeatedly assured us that the refund was “being processed,” “already approved,” or “would be sent shortly.” These statements have proven to be misleading and false, as no payment has ever been made.At this point:both the deposit and the first payment remain unpaidno concrete timeline has been providedrepeated promises have been brokenaccountability is consistently avoidedThis is not a delay — it is a complete failure to meet basic financial and contractual obligations. Such behavior is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about TOAST’s business practices.Based on our experience, we cannot recommend TOAST as a trustworthy POS provider.

No way to retrieve receipt, support not helpfulI ordered food through Toast using my phone number and never received a receipt by email. The order also does not appear in my Toast account, even though I’m able to log in and my email is verified.I contacted Toast support to retrieve the receipt and was told they could not help and that I had to contact the restaurant directly. Since Toast processes the payment, this creates a real problem for customers who need receipts for work reimbursement.There should be a clear, customer-accessible way to retrieve past receipts, especially when the issue is caused by Toast’s own account and email flow. Poor UX and disappointing support for a very common use case.

DO NOT USE TOAST PAYROLL. Do not use Toast. After using Toast and toast payroll for several years, they have failed to file my W-2s this year. No one has any answers for me and the support department has given me multiple incorrect answers.
