Con artists

Wish I could give zero. They don’t tell you that they stop supporting devices after the one year warranty period. My device is now effectively worthless and useless as I can no longer use apps. I can add MP3 files now it’s no longer supported apparently. So I now have a very very overpriced MP3 player, because we’re back in 2002!Their advise - buy the newer model!!! 🤣😂😂

Underwater Audio has CHANGED

I ordered a Syryn unit last week- I’ve literally been using Underwater Audio for 20 years. They charged my credit card then, when contacted today, stated they were out of stock., Nobody bothered to inform me. I did file a dispute with Chase and got my money back, but customer service was beyond belief being rude to me. Customer service has always been this company’s strength, so I was shocked by 1. Charging me for product not even in stock 2. Being rude and disrespectful to a customer.

I have a pair of Bone Conduction 2…

I have a pair of Bone Conduction 2 swimbuds and called customer service for repair or replacement due to a fractured structural piece in the design. Simply put, it is a material flaw that resulted in the failure. I was offered no options for repair or warranty replacement, nor was I offered a discount on a new pair. Buyer beware. They fail and there's no support after the sale.

I live in Maine

I live in Maine, and we have an Applied Warranty law that protects consumers for longer than the standard year. I have gotten nowhere with Underwater. I had a faulty unit, and they did replace it. Now I am having issues with the replaced unit, and they say there is nothing they can do. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office of Maine about this. I have tried to send a letter to Underwater Audio. I used the address they listed, and it was sent back with no forwarding address. But they are still selling online.

I received an underwater audio device…

I received an underwater audio device for Christmas and I was so excited. However, after almost a month and a half of problems getting it to work and many calls to customer service. I finally had to abandon using it, but by this time, it was after the 30 day return window. I did write them to let them know of my experience, frustration, and left it to them as to what they would do. What did I receive in return? Radio silence. Since I really wanted this to work for me, I probably gave it more time than it deserved. My bad. I have since purchased another device which I love. It was easy to set up and no problems whatsoever. The unfortunate thing is I am out almost $300. I don't want to even give it away as a gift to somebody else because of all the problems I have had. I am really not technologically challenged but this device is way more work than it's worth.

Delphin waterproof swimming system

Support/tech staff completely ignored my situation and offer no support. My Delphin has never worked and had a corrupt error message. They offered a discount on a new system instead of offering a fix or repair(at which I would’ve paid at my expense)I have had 3 other waterproof devices(iPod shuffles which last. about 4 years sure to battery degradation so I’m not new to these type of systems.Horrible support and tech staff

Warranty is an "if"

Warranty is an "if". Started using Swim buds bone conduction about 2 months ago. I've used bone conduction swim buds from Finis (Swim P3's & Duo's); H2O audio sonar since 2015 and thought I'd give these a try. They don't work at all like I'm used to. The music is garbled, way too much bass. Trying use the year warranty after a few months will cost me shipping & handling and they "MAY notify their shipping department to send another device". At $140 and no guarantee I'll get another pair is atrocious!! Don't buy from this company.

THESE UNITS HAVE A SHORT LIFE

I start off by saying I find the Customer Service staff to be excellent, intelligent and empathetic. The problem is these devices fail at a high rate. I have had six (2 Ipods and 2 Syryns) in approximately 6 years. If one fails before 12 months, they gladly replace the unit. If it is over 12 months, you have to buy a new one.

This is a piece of Junk, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!

I purchased a Delphin in 2022 with earbuds that wrap around the back of the neck (they don't seem to sell these any longer). About 6 months into its use, the main unit simply stopped working one day. I worked with underwater audio's service desk to get it fixed. After a couple of weeks of conversation (they sent me new ear buds to try first) then when these didn't work they decided that it was broken and they would replace the unit AFTER they had received the original unit back. Very frustrating to have to wait 4 weeks for the company to fix the issue after making me contact them over and over and jump thru hoops. T This is not the way to treat the customer, but I lived with it. The new unit came in and worked for 9 months, the current problem is that the connection to the unit at the headphones won't connect adequately to have both sides playing consistently. I was sent a survey to rate the product and provide feedback, which I did. I was sent a notification that someone would be in touch with me to fix the problem. Never heard from them. I didn't really expect to since the unit is now out of original warranty and their service techniques used the first time around. I learned my lesson -DO NOT PURCHASE THIS - it is a piece of junk.

Absolutely useless Delphin underwater iPod

Absolutely useless underwateraudio device (Delphin) and worse software. Designed by an idiot. If you want to spend hours of your life trying to make their useless software work and have absolutely nothing else to do, it could be ideal for you ! You will need the patience of a saint. To elaborate:- They imply that you can stream music on this device and play it including iTunes. You cannot. You obviously would need a WiFi connection at the pool you are using. It just doesn't work that way. You have to create a Playlist, then connect to a WiFi network, then download the Playlist. Oh, and NOT on iTunes. So if you use iTunes, bad luck. You are going to have to switch to Spotify or Amazon Music which are the only sites that work and probably pay for 2 subscriptions as you won't want to lose your library on iTunes- It will not connect to WiFi consistently. Staying in a top hotel with strong WiFi. It won't connect at all. Even at home where I have an industrual grade WiFi network, it drops out regularly.- The settings don't work. If you are looking at Amazon Music trying to see a Playlist to select to play, 20/20 vision is useless. You need Superman vision. They know this so have provided an App on the phone where you can connect to the Delphin and see things. Great ! Except they sell this as a unit that you use instead of needing an iPhone to connect to. Oh, and you have guessed it, it doesn't connect to the iPhone consistently or regularly as the WiFi connection capabilities are appalling.- Screen Settings. You can zoom in to 100% and things get visible ! No they don't. The menus do but when you get back into iTunes, it is still the same size and too small to see.- Power. Charged it to 100%. Went to the pool. Used it for say 30 minutes (much less really) - then the battery went completely flat.- Heat. When you use it, the unit can get so hot that they have put a rubber case around it. Touch the screen and you will know it.- Software. After charging it for a long time, it is still showing it is charged to 1%. Except it isn't. Tap the battery icon and it will show you that it is charged to 25%. No manual. No really useful online guides. Some crap ones.- Tunes that don't work. So you download your Playlist from Amazon Music that you have had to subscribe to now, download your Playlist and off you go. Except one tune would play for 15 seconds then cut out. Eventually you get a message that tells you that it was a duff download or duff storage. But not until you have pulled all of your hair out. And then of course it was not just that one tune which you downloaded from Amazon Music so the tune is fine, the device has scrambled it.- They have a helpful support desk ! No of course not. When I started complaining they refused to return my emails. - And the final insult is the best. On their website they say that they will accept a return if the unit has not been used and returned within 30 days of purchase. But of course you have been trying to get it to work for days now, so you have used it and you cannot have your money back. This policy knows this and this is why it is written this way. This tells you everything you want to know about what they think of their customers.AWFUL AWFUL item. Avoid at all costs.
