I signed a contract with US Car Ship for $800. On the day of pickup I get a call saying it’s going to be $300 more because the truck isn’t all the way filled up. This is for a tiny VW beetle btw. I told the caller that I was not happy with them trying to raise the price after I signed the contract for $800 and that I wanted to cancel with the company since this wasn’t a time sensitive pick up. The dealer said I had up to 3 weeks to have it picked up and shipped. The company said they would talk to their accounting team and eventually came back and said they were honoring the $800 contract and still picking up on the scheduled day. I was satisfied and continued with the company. About 2 hours after pick up, I get a text saying I had to pay a $200 “service fee” or my car would not be delivered. They then proceed to send me a random Hotmail account to Zelle the fee too with the name Muhammad Kahn. I said I did not feel comfortable sending money to this account and not a professional business account. I wish I had done more research. Other shipping companies tried to warn me about this bait and switch tactic. I have never had to transport a vehicle before, but if I ever have to again I will NEVER use this company and won’t recommend to anyone.

Evasive, misleading contacts with low-ball quotes and promises of best-price. Then, all of a sudden 2 weeks later, "i have a carrier for 4x the quoted price". Red-flags all over the place. I ran away, knowing these guys are NOT working in my best interest.

This is a fraudulent company
This is a fraudulent company. Don't use them. They set up appointments, false promises. And they drop communication when it comes to their responsibility. I understand things can go wrong in transportation, but this is a company mis-brokering and giving you dates and prices they don't honor. They will tell you the money is refundable if services are not rendered, but they will not answer your email if it comes to that, they will communicate up to the point they falter, then you will not receive anymore correspondence. There are numbers to call put in place, but no one answer or it will be a disconnected number. All the signs of an illegitimate outfit is in place. It is fraud, so you can get your bank involved at that point. But it's a hassle, and a waste of time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm not into bashing. It's just $79 dollars. No major loss, actually no loss, my bank reversed and are strong against this type of activity. Thank you Capital One. But I just don't want to see it happen to someone else. These types of businesses should be investigated, shut down and held to accountability.

This broker repeatedly provided false information and failed to perform basic obligations. I was given multiple timeframes for a driver and forklift delivery—none of which were honored. The forklifts that were supposed to be on site at 8:00 AM were never ordered, despite assurances that everything was scheduled.After I canceled the transaction due to these failures, the broker continued to claim a driver was “on the way,” which was not true. Even worse, instead of contacting me, he called my sister without authorization and provided her with misleading information after the deal was already canceled.This behavior was unprofessional, deceptive, and completely unacceptable. Continuing to attempt to schedule drivers after cancellation and contacting third parties crossed a serious line.If you value honest communication and basic professionalism, I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I would give zero stars if I could. They undercut their competition in price to earn your business. Lowballing. Then they don't get your vehicle picked up. After that, they try and raise the price and hold your feet to the fire with the contact you signed or otherwise it won't be picked up. Classic bait and switch. 2 weeks later...vehicle is still not picked up. Will never use them again

These yahoos are scammers! My story is the same as everyone else, though luckily only lost the "broker fee" of $95, which I have disputed with my credit card company since the services were never provided at the agreed upon price = fraud, so will get that back.I am on a mission now and want to provide some additional info for those who want to pursue legal action and get their $$ back: There are two registered companies in NJ for these crooks: "USCARSHIP INC" and "USCARSHIPPING LLC" and will update with the Registered Agent info when I get it from the NJ Secretary of State. The DOT# I was given by the scammer is 4461583, which is registered to "Elegant Car Shipping, LLC" with an address of 4113 RESIDENCE DR APT 212FORT MYERS FL 33901-9219, phone 551-392-9367. Beware of Quote Bait & Switch
On Nov 24th, I contacted this company for a quote to ship a vintage motorcycle from Chicago to SE Virginia. They quoted me $390 in an enclosed trailer, point to point - Best offer among several ranging up to $800. Paid an initial $94 deposit. The target pickup date was Dec 2, but unfortunately the region experienced a same-day snowfall event, and apparently the assigned driver was in a fender-bender, according to my contact, and relegating him to a body shop. On Dec 4, I was advised a new driver had been assigned, and the cost would now be an additional $157, less a $50 company “compensation”, plus $500 (!!) to the driver on arrival. I complained that it sure seemed like a bait & switch - albeit weather aggravated. The company person said the replacement was the only availability in that region. The $500 was more than the original entire quote! I really wanted the 45 yr old bike delivered safely (which it fully was, on Dec 6) so I agreed.. or, wait potentially days for a (possibly) cheaper driver’s availability.In summary, just be aware of the possibility of price creep in the event of a planned driver’s unavailability & having to go with a way-higher cost hauler. My opinion is that the $50 “compensation” by USCS&T was el-cheapo - they should’ve manned up & covered the entire $500 increase from the quote for the other driver! I won’t use them again.

But on the scheduled pickup date, they suddenly demanded $1,800. Even after we reluctantly agreed just to get our cars moved, they increased the price again to $2,000 at the last minute!They even threatened that our vehicles would not be delivered and might be left over 1,000 miles away from the destination if we didn’t pay their new demand. It felt like blackmail.This company is not trustworthy and has zero professionalism or ethics. I strongly warn everyone — do not do business with US CAR SHIP & TRUCKING. Save yourself from stress, financial loss, and the worst customer service experience imaginable.

Complete bait and switch, avoid at all cost. Started with $390, then $450, then $800 because it’s “snowbird” season (though the bike was coming from AL to PA, the opposite of snowbirds. The only reason I agreed to the final price of $700 was because he promised he had a driver nearby, and everything was good to go. Magically, when I completed the contract - the driver “stopped answering him.” “John” began getting combative when I started to question him, telling me he wasn’t scared that I’m a state over from him (like, why??) Absolute trash customer service and process from start to finish. Go anywhere else. I’ve got the texts to back my claim.
